7 Research project

Using the outline and the resources and information from the annotated bibliography, compose a final research paper. This paper should be focused on public health and include biostatistics-related content, including information related to the following elements learned:
population and sample size;
hypothesis testing;
research instruments;
statistical tests and results;
multivariable methods, including the principles of these methods;
examples of dependent and independent variables; and
any other pertinent issues related to course material.
Be sure to include an introduction section that gives the topic and purpose of the paper and a final section that includes any recommendations and the conclusion of the topic. Your final paper must be at least four pages in length, and you must use at least the five resources included in your annotated bibliography.

History Question

A Project Proposal is attached that was reviewed and comments were made for correction for the research paper. The project proposal attached is like what was submitted as the first step of the project proposal. The comments are done in red on the beginning and end. This will help guide what will be needed for the research paper. The guidelines for the paper are below
Your final paper must be at least 8-10 pages long and should rely on at least 6 sources. Please follow these guidelines when writing your paper:

1.It is useful to work from a written outline. You will, of course, change parts of the paper around or even drop items from the original outline entirely, but it is helpful to have an idea of what you are writing about before you actually start writing.
2.Papers must have an introduction and a conclusion framing the body of the work. Hint: Write the introduction to your paper after you have written everything else. It will ensure that your introduction accurately reflects what you have written in your paper, and will avoid the instructor wondering why you said in the intro. that you were going to talk about one thing, when in fact you talked about another thing entirely. Such a realization on the part of your instructor invariably leads to a precipitous drop in the paper grade.
3.The word novel should only be used to refer to a work of fiction. Do not refer to a piece of academic writing or non-fiction as ‘a novel’.

4.Italicize book titles, journal titles, newspaper titles, DVD/movie titles, documentary titles, etc. Only use quotation marks around the title of an article. Ex: John Smith, “How Writing History Papers Saved My Life and Brought Me Inner Peace,” New Academic 1:5, 46-112.
5.Beware of shifting verb tenses (especially in the same sentence!). As a general rule, it is easiest to stay in past tense when you are writing history papers. The exception is when you are directly referencing an author’s work (even when they are dead). Example: “In his work The Interpretation of Dreams, Freud says….”
6.Please keep in mind the following pitfalls; there are others, but these are the most frequent I have encountered over the years:
know the difference between to (preposition), too (also), two (the number)
throne (something you sit on), thrown (past tense of ‘to throw’)
lead (a metal), led (past tense of ‘to lead’)
their (possessive), there (adverb), they’re (contraction of they are)
its (possessive), it’s (contraction of it is)
among not amongst and while not whilst
who (subject) and whom (object)
due to (adjectival; nouns) and because of (adverbial; verbs) (https://grammar.yourdictionary.com/vs/due-to-vs-because-of-distinctions-and-proper-use.html)
Be consistent with your capitalization. If you are using ‘Socialism’ and ‘Capitalism’ in the introduction (which is the proper form, by the way), make sure you continue using ‘Socialism’ and ‘Capitalism’ in the body of your paper and not ‘socialism’ and ‘capitalism’. Note: Socialism, Capitalism, Nationalism should always be capitalized; socialists, capitalists, nationalists should not be.

8.Proofread! Spellcheck is not enough. I highly recommend reading your papers out loud after you have written them. It is an excellent way to make sure that your writing is clear and makes sense. If you read it out loud and a sentence sounds strange to your ear, there is most likely something wrong with it. Figure out what needs fixing and fix it.

Bibliography and Citation

Your paper must have proper footnotes / endnotes, and a formal bibliography. These must follow the rules of either Chicago Manual of Style/Kate Turabian or MLA style.

Choose a referencing style: Chicago/Turabian or MLA and be sure to stick with it. There are online tutorials for both. University of Utah has an excellent online site for Turabian that really shows how to reference correctly.

Choose either endnotes or footnotes to reference all facts which are not common knowledge. What counts as common knowledge? Information like birth

Religion and Theology Assignment Help Your boss, the Director of Human Resources at a prominent academic hospital, has asked you to prepare a two-part expository PowerPoint presentation to new employees during orientation. Your PowerPoint is to familiarize new staff from both clinical and administrative departments with the most common clinical and healthcare management terminology, to which they will be exposed and expected to use on their new job. Terminology shared should include aspects of taxonomies, clinical vocabularies, terminologies, and nomenclatures used in healthcare settings. A minimum of three slides should be dedicated to each department. Finally, include a section devoted to how management and clinical departments communicate for patient care. Provide examples for at least two levels of care (inpatient, outpatient, nursing facility, etc.).
While preparing to complete this presentation, think about the following questions:
What information will you include in your PowerPoint slides?
What notations will you make in the speaker’s notes for your boss to stress?
How will you organize the material so that it will be presented effectively for new employees exposed to terminology that you use daily?
Requirements:
This assignment must be a Microsoft® PowerPoint®. Include extensive speaker notes. Slides should be uncluttered.
The presentation should be a minimum of 12, but no more than 14 slides. Be sure to include a title and reference slide.
Provide specific examples of concepts, topics, definitions, and other elements noted in the assignment introduction.
Your presentation should be highly organized, logical, and focused.
Your PowerPoint must be written in Standard English and demonstrate exceptional content, organization, style, and grammar and mechanics.
Your PowerPoint should provide a clearly established and sustained viewpoint and purpose.
Your writing/speaker notes should be well ordered, logical, and unified, as well as original and insightful.
Be sure to include both in-text citations and reference listings for all sources. A separate slide at the end of your presentation should contain a list of references, in APA 7th edition format. Use the assigned reading, the Library, and the internet for scholarly research.
Review the writing resources for APA formatting and citation found in Academic Tools. Additional writing resources can be found within the Academic Success Center.

Problem, Study and Research

Reflections on the Trio: Problem, Purpose, and Research Question
Write a 4–6-page paper that focuses on the following opportunities for reflection and development of the research prospectus components.
As you move forward on the dissertation journey, it is of great importance to have a clearly defined “trio”—research problem, purpose statement, and central research question. For this Individual Project (IP) assignment, you have 3 tasks to complete, as follows:
Restate the general research interest that you provided in the U1 Discussion Board (DB) Primary Post.
Refine your general research interest to a more specific topic and, using this topic, create a research problem, purpose statement, and central research question that are closely aligned with one another in content.
Justify how your research topic is aligned with and appropriate to your degree field (e.g., DM, DCS) and concentration (e.g., project management, big data analytics).

Profile Matching- simple “dating app” simulation

I have some components provided in zip- main focus is swipeRight() and swipeLeft()
Create a class named Profile that stores relevant information and methods for a single person’s
profile on a dating app like Tinder. This will be a simplified version of what the object structure of
a dating app could look like.
Your class should contain the following:
• Private member variables to store a person’s name and age along with an array to store arecord of other profiles that have swiped right on them, and a second array to store a
record of matches (profiles where both profiles have swiped right on eachother). You
can assume that each profile is only allowed to have 10 likes and matches at a time.
A default and overloaded constructor(s) that set the member variables.
Public methods to mutate and access the member variables.
A public method named toString( ) that returns a String containing an appropriate
description of the dating profile record.
• A public method named equals( ) that determines whether two profiles are the same and

returns a boolean.
• A public method swipeRight() that:

o takes in a instance of another Profile and adds the current Profile to the other
Profile’s like array.

? e.g. if you call alex.swipeRight(sam), you would add alex into sam’s like
array

o If the Profile is already in the other like array, add the Profile to the match array of
both Profiles.

? e.g. if sam had already liked alex (sam was in alex’s like array), then add
alex into sam’s match array and sam into alex’s match array.

o Be sure to make sure the position in the array you are inserting is null(otherwise
you will overwrite an existing match). If there is no room in one of the match
arrays, tell the user the match cannot be made.

• A public method swipeLeft() that takes in an instance of another dating profile and deletes

that profile from the current Profile’s like array. (It does nothing with the matched array)

Write test code (in the main method) to create two or more dating profiles and simulate the
matching process by calling either the swipeRight() or swipeLeft() methods for each instance,
then printing out each object’s match arrays. The only purpose of main for this program is to
instantiate instances of your class and invoke methods specified in the class, the rest of the
matching logic should occur in your object’s methods.

Discussion Question

For this discussion, you will be selecting one of the population growth formulas found in Chapter 6 of the course textbook.
TextBook: https://openstax.org/books/college-algebra/pages/6…
Your task for this discussion is as follows:
Use the population growth equation to determine the expected population for a state in the year 2050. Make sure to cite any outside sources used to determine the current growth rate.
Determine when the population will double. (i.e. Doubling Time, T)
Discuss additional examples of real-world contexts that can be modeled using exponential or logarithmic equations.
In your responses to peers, compare your results and comment on their additional examples. Screen shots attached for other peers to rspond to

How a Computer Scientist Fights Bias in Algorithms

Pulling from our class discussion and the concepts you’ve learned so far, develop a reaction paper to the article we discussed in class today (Titled: How a Computer Scientist Fights Bias in Algorithms). This reaction paper should use the questions posed in class as a guide. This paper is not simply answering the questions from class but using those questions to react to the article and frame your discussion. Your can discuss issues, example, on how issues discussed in the paper impact samples and population or what algorithm bias meams for generalizing data findings. As you reflect, how does the article supplement your understanding of the statistical concepts we’ve discuss thus far. This paper should be 500 words or more. Any assignment that is less than 500 words will not receive full credit. In your reaction paper, use your critical mind and your learning from the textbook. When using the textbook for reference, be sure to cite the page number from which you are referring to. DO NOT copy and paste from the internet or Wikipedia. Those who copy and paste from the internet (using no citations) will receive no credit and could be at risk for plagiarism.
The questions posed in class were:
-What is algorithmic bias and how would you explain it to a 5th grader?
-Who is most impacted by algorithmic biases? Provide reasons for your answer.
-Based on the article and your understanding, provide 3 ways these algorithms take shape on social media.
-What does credible data mean to you? Give an example of a credible data source? Why do you believe it to be credible?
-What is an example of administrative data and how might they distort the realities of your community or the community you live in? Be specific in your responses.
-Discuss 3 ways a data set can become skewed. How does algorithmic bias play a role in skewed data?
-What are some ways to create symmetry in a data set?
-Based on your reading of the article, discuss how representation in data directly impacts bias in the interpretation of your reality.
-Choose 3 of the concepts listed above to discuss the impact of algorithm bias on populations and samples.
