- Decision-Making for Entry Strategies and Organizational Structures
In Chapters 8 and 9, we reviewed several types of global expansion strategies a company can undertake when entering new markets. For this assignment, you will read a case study about Starbucks’ expansion into the Indian market (p. 413 in the textbook) and then respond to, and make decisions, based on the following questions:What inspired Starbucks to venture in to India? What were some of the company’s early concerns and other obstacles?
How would you describe Starbucks’ approach to entering India and how Starbucks was influenced by cultural differences to adapt its offerings for the Indian market?
Why did Starbucks want to enter India through a joint venture? Specifically, what benefits did Starbucks and the Tara Group both gain by partnering with one another? What synergies were present? What conflicts occurred and how were they resolved?
Now, assume the role of the Director of Starbucks’ Indian strategic planning team. You have been tasked to explore the benefits and challenges of expansion into foreign countries through joint-venture partnerships. First discussion: MY RECOMMENDATION
I have chosen film, cinema, in my work in order to theorize difficult questions regarding democracy and difference. There are, however, many points of caution in choosing to use film. Films often can reinforce and affirm stereotyped and demeaning images of others; that is, film is as effective a tool for installing as it is for challenging and overcoming oppression. However, as I write in Chapter One, the fictionalized realism of film can allow for a sharing of the different experiences that individuals live through and can serve as a helpful tool to uncover the raw materials that make up our various social or cultural identities. In other words, and more specifically, film and film criticism facilitate the search for a location from which to envision a democratic politics in ways that are respectful of difference and that quite possibly can contribute to the transformation of one’s sensibilities by providing an opportunity to theorize and imagine a new or emerging politics from a position of eyewitness.
Identify two-feature length films not presented in class that you believe have the potential to transform one’s political sensibilities pertaining to deep differences. In addition to naming your recommendations, be sure to give a full citation and a short abstract for each of the two films you recommend.
In other words, students are to recommend two U.S. films (non-documentaries produced in the United States of America) within the past five years and that are not listed anywhere on the political science 1 course syllabus. Proper citations must follow this format: Film title. Dir. First Name Last Name. Distributor, Year of Release. Medium.
Second discussion: MY CONCLUSION
I have suggested that we should engage and be engaged by those persons who see and understand the world differently from those who sit comfortably within a dominant we society so that we might (re)imagine or discover a new place for democratic politics. And as film-goers who find ourselves more susceptible emotionally to the stimuli presented in a movie theatre, we can at times experience vicariously, yet deeply, the events, the stories, the lives of those who are different from ourselves. As individuals living in a multicultural and diverse society we should consider opening ourselves up to and welcoming such engagement and the possibilities for personal transformation in our individual sensibilities. Such a transformation might occur when one considers and compares the experiences of his or her life and the impact of those experiences on his or her identity next to those raw materials that make-up or construct the identity(ies) of those who are different from them, specifically those who have been marginalized, disregarded, and silenced by a dominant we society. I have suggested that when one truly sees Other, sees and hears the stories of difference crafted and told by the Other in film, one might come to respect the different voices and stories of those lives and thus allow him or herself to see and experience life from a new position, a transformed sensibility, where politics transcend convention. In other words, when we consider our lives next to those who are different from us, when we frame those different human stories next to our own personal human narrative we may come to understand how a particular human uncertainty and vulnerability informs all of our lives.
In 300-500 words share whether or not you believe film has the potential to transform one’s political sensibilities. And if you believe that your personal sensibilities have been (re)shaped or transformed by a particular film, say so. The objective here is to share your thoughts pertaining to the major thesis presented in Democracy and Difference.

Assignment Question(s):
Part 1: Case Analysis
Read the discussion forum below, which shows several employees’ posts about how to develop a better performance review system. Then, answer the questions that follow.
Jackson: Hi team, this week we’ll use this forum to discuss our performance review system. Specifically, we want to explore the benefits and drawbacks about the timing of our reviews. Currently, our reviews are conducted annually. The HR team wants to know what we think about quarterly reviews. The HR team wants us to share our views with them by September 10.
Cynthia: I’ve never experienced quarterly reviews before, so it’s hard for me to say if that’s better. My hunch is quarterly reviews would be more fair and helpful. But, I also assume they take a lot of extra time for our managers. @Erin I think your last company held quarterly reviews. What are your experiences with more frequent reviews? Has anyone else worked at a company with more frequent reviews? Tell us what it was like.
Erin: @Cynthia your assumptions match my experience. I enjoyed getting more frequent feedback. But, when I was a manager, it was a crushing responsibility because the company expected me to conduct the reviews without lightening my load elsewhere. @Nigel thanks for sharing your experiences with monthly reviews. You mentioned the reviews are more like check-ins that don’t require so much time by the managers. Totally makes sense to me. @Vilma also think your comments about adding peer reviews makes a lot of sense and relieves managers.
Nigel: Hi all, there’s one discussion point I hope we can meet in person (or by online conference) to discuss. I appreciate the HR team wants our input about the frequency of reviews, but I’m worried that we’re not addressing one of the problems: perceived fairness of the reviews. I believe in 15 minutes, we could work out a few common concerns to share with the HR group from our whole team.
Jackson: Thanks for your comments, team. Overall, here are what I think are the key take-aways: (a) we want more feedback, so quarterly reviews may be helpful; (b) we don’t want to create an unreasonable burden on managers; and (c) we want more conversation around objectivity and fairness of the reviews. At this point, I propose I draft our comments into a short report for your review. I also suggest we set up a one-hour

Discussion Assignment #2, which is in 2 parts, asks you to:
1) Selecting either one of the 10 Key Concepts or one of the 5 Big Misconceptions, write a substantive paragraph discussing the meaning of the Concept or Misconception and why it is important for understanding how effective interpersonal communication works or why it is an inaccurate/inadequate notion that can negatively affect one’s communication if one believes it to be true. In writing your discussion, include references to both your own observations/experiences and to one or more of the concepts in Ch. 1 and/or Ch. 2 that relate to the Key Concept or Big Misconception you select.
2) Select a post by at least one other student who wrote about a different Concept/Misconception from the one you chose, and write a thoughtful response to the other student’s post. Also please consider responding to a student who has not yet received a response from anyone else, so that, ideally, everyone in the class receives a response and feels heard and part of the online conversation.
replay to this student (Key Concept #8 was something that stood out. I chose this one because I do believe cultural differences influence our communication. Depending on the country one is from or even the city they grew up in cultural differences play a very large role in communication. Not everyone is taught greetings first or introductions. Or their first language may not be English so who are you to judge because they are not “articulate” or speaking “proper”. Everyone is brought up differently and learning about other cultures can teach us this. I was told I did not know how to communicate properly solely based on the way I spoke aloud because it did not meet the standards of another. It is based on the area you are surrounded by, who is it to say because we do not meet the standards of the English language we are not communicating properly? There are so many different forms of communications. From eye contact, to hand gestures, and talking. It is our job to know the different forms of communication to create that better understanding between one another. When doing some form of communication that we know through which we are brought up may be a sign of disrespect to another.) - spreedsheet

Management Assignment Help Resolving Ethical Business Challenges *
Kent was getting pressure from his boss, parents, and wife about the marketing campaign for Broadway Corporation’s new video game called “Lucky.” He had been working for Broadway for about two years, and the Lucky game was his first big project. After Kent and his wife, Amy, graduated from college, they decided to go back to their hometown of Las Cruces, New Mexico, near the Mexican border. Kent’s father knew the president of Broadway, which enabled Kent to get a job in its marketing department. Broadway is a medium-size company with about 500 employees, making it one of the largest employers in Las Cruces. Broadway develops, manufactures, and markets video arcade games
Within the video arcade industry, competition is fierce. Games typically have a life cycle of only 18 to 24 months. One of the key strategies in the industry is providing unique, visually stimulating games by using color graphics technology, fast action, and participant interaction. The target markets for Broadway’s video products are children aged 5 to 12 and teenagers aged 13 to 19. Males constitute 75 percent of the market. When Kent first started with Broadway, his task was to conduct market research on the types of games that players desired. His research showed that the market wanted more action (violence), quicker graphics, multiple levels of difficulty, and sound. Further research showed that certain tones and types of sound were more pleasing than others. As part of his research, Kent also observed people in video arcades, where he found that many became hypnotized by a game and would quickly put in quarters when told to do so. Research suggested that many target consumers exhibited the same symptoms as compulsive gamblers. Kent’s research results were well received by the company, which developed several new games using his information. The new games were instant hits with the market. In his continuing research, Kent found that the consumer’s level of intensity increased as the game’s intensity level increased. Several reports later, Kent suggested that target consumers might be willing, at strategic periods in a video game, to insert multiple coins. For example, a player who wanted to move to a higher level of difficulty would have to insert two coins; to play the final level, three coins would have to be inserted. When the idea was tested, Kent found it did increase game productivity. Kent also noticed that video games that gave positive reinforcements to the consumer, such as audio cues, were played much more frequently than others. He reported his findings to Brad, Broadway’s president, who asked Kent to apply the information to the development of new games. Kent suggested having the machines give candy to the game players when they attained specific goals. For the teen market, the company modified the idea: The machines would give back coins at certain levels during the game. Players could then use the coins at strategic levels to play a “slot-type” chance opening of the next level. By inserting an element of chance, these games generated more coin input than output, and game productivity increased dramatically. These innovations were quite successful, giving Broadway a larger share of the market and Kent a promotion to product manager. Kent’s newest assignment was the Lucky game—a fast-action scenario in which the goal was to destroy the enemy before being destroyed. Kent expanded on the slot-type game for the older market, with two additions. First, the game employed virtual reality technology, which gives the player the sensation of actually being in the game. Second, keeping in mind that most of the teenage consumers were male, Kent incorporated a female character who, at each level, removed a piece of her clothing and taunted the player. A win at the highest level left her nude. Test market results suggested that the two additions increased profitability per game dramatically. Several weeks later, Brad asked about the Lucky project. “I think we’ve got a real problem, Brad,” Kent told him. “Maybe the nudity is a bad idea. Some people will be really upset about it.” Brad was displeased with Kent’s response. Word got around fast that the Lucky project had stalled. During dinner with his parents, Kent mentioned the Lucky project, and his dad said something that affected Kent. “You know, son, the Lucky project will bring in a great deal of revenue for Broadway, and jobs are at stake. Some of your coworkers are upset with your stand on this project. I’m not telling you what to do, but there’s more at stake here than just a video game.” The next day Kent had a meeting with Brad about Lucky. “Well,” Brad asked, “what have you decided?” Kent answered, “I don’t think we should go with the nudity idea.” Brad answered, “You know, Kent, you’re right. The U.S. market just isn’t ready to see full nudity as well as graphic violence in arcades in their local malls. That’s why I’ve contacted an Internet provider who will take our game and put it on the Internet as an adult product. I’ve also checked out the foreign markets and found that we can sell the machines to the Mexican market if we tone down the violence. The Taiwanese joint venture group has okayed the version we have now, but they would like you to develop something that is more graphic in both areas. You see, they already have similar versions of this type of game now, and their market is ready to go to the next level. I see the Internet market as secondary because we can’t get the virtual reality equipment and software into an Internet mode. Maybe when PCs get faster, we’ll be able to tap into it at that level, but not now. So, Kent, do you understand what you need to be doing on Lucky?”

Survey and Statistic Analysis
Hello, I need help with these two assignments, I attached all
the required materials, and here are some more details from my teacher:First,
you are to compose a survey demonstrating best practices to elaborate,
confirm, and uncover themes (reasons, perceptions, opinions) related to
your personal disaster research problem/ question in your chosen
population. (Week 8-9)Simultaneously, you are to further develop
statistical skills by reviewing prior recommended assets (week 4, 5) to
apply an analysis with descriptive and correlation analysis on a dummy
set of data. You should be receiving your draft literature search
back from the writing center, and make the recommended revisions. I
would transfer the appropriate background to your IRB application. The First assignment’s question is:Using
data from the Literature Review or Qualitative Interviews, create a
survey for administration to 100 participants to validate your
interpretation and elicit more robust data for your specified research
question/problem using a larger sample of your populationSeveral
questions will be demographic and/or quantitative (age, family size,
income, expense, education…). At least 60% of the questions MUST be
designed to confirm or reject your interpretation of the previously
acquired Literature Review or Qualitative Interviews on your question or
problem. In order to make the survey tool most useful, should there not
be confirmation of your findings, there should at least be a “free
text” option for every question, and ideally a good portion of the
questions should be “open ended” in construction. (Project requirement.)A
general rule, even if you are proposing closed or categorical
questions, would be to A) keep any intervals the same size (age range in
10-year increments, as an example) and allow for a free text answer if
none of your options apply. Again, avoid wording that steers the
respondent to your preferred answers (bias)From your individual
investigation (literature search) you should stipulate how many
questions are reasonable to maintain the subject’s engagement and
thoughtful completion. Also consider how long your survey would take to
complete (IRB form consideration, consent consideration), and how
fatigue the respondent might be after x questions. The second assignment’s question is:1.
Using the data set provided, calculate the mean, median, mode,
interquartile range, and standard deviation for the numerical values in
the set.2. Choosing the best Correlation Coefficient, describe the
relationship between age and income, age and education, and income and
education.3. Compare the data set statistics to the Policy Map data for your selected study population.
That’s all you might need and please let me know if you have any questions.Forum: Module Four: Prompt Two (macro-reading)
Module Four: Prompt Two (Macro-reading: Misogyny and the Decameron)
This is a class-wide Discussion Board Post activity. It consists of four steps, so please take note of everything. Complete this activity after you have read all of the assigned tales from Days Seven and Eight of the Decameron.
Step One: Select two tales, one from Day Seven and another from Day Eight, that display contrasting views on women. Make a list of the relevant quotes that convey this information, such as descriptions of characters, or snippets of dialogue, and include the page numbers.
Step Two: Now write a mini-essay consisting of three paragraphs that supports the following thesis: “The Decameron displays a complex view of medieval women in society, neither entirely misogynist not entirely philogynist.”
Your first paragraph should serve as an introductory paragraph. It should contain at least three sentences that explain how the Decameron achieves this, in general terms, as you can see in Days Seven and Eight.
Your second paragraph serves as your body/evidence paragraph, that includes your textual citations and support for this thesis. (5-6 sentences)
Your third paragraph serves as your conclusion paragraph, where you explain how these tales relate to other tales in the Decameron from different Days. (4-5 sentences)
Step Three: Post your mini-essay. Your final post should be between 300 and 350 words total. Read the Discussion Board grading rubric to see how your initial post will be evaluated.

Case Study:
Kandy is an INFOSEC administrator for a company with 500 employees, this is an ongoing job (not a short contract) and she wishes to stay at this company for a long time. Her manager, Kenneth gives her the task of providing weekly reports showing which web pages have been accessed by individual employees and flagging any websites that are questionable (such as pornography). Kandy is aware that employees have not been asked by Kenneth to sign an agreement about which web page they visit while at work using work computers. She is also aware that employees may be penalised.
What professional ethical dilemmas are Kandy and Kenneth dealing with here? (e.g. Should we allow or sanction Kandy’s behaviour? Is there a public interest question raised by this scenario? What actions do everyone involved need to take to ensure that this kind of situation does not occur again?)

Discussion Board
What is Idealism?Idealism is expressed in the gadgets we use, in the places where we live and work, and in the media we see in our daily lives. The urge to put our ideas (our ideals) into visual or tangible form has been a driving force of creation throughout human history. It is part of us. It grows from our individual and collective experiences and insights, as well as our needs, wants, and dreams. But what do we mean by idealism?
Idealism encourages imagination and attempts to realize a mental conception of beauty, a standard of perfection. The idea of beauty is what matters. Beauty is found in the idea the form represents. From an idealistic perspective, all objects and experiences are representations of the mind.
Carefully read all the sections on this page before you write your post.
The Ancient Ideal of BeautySince ancient times, the Western ideal of human beauty was defined by the art of the Greeks and Romans. The statue known as the Spear Bearer or the Doryphorus (above left) is a Roman copy of ancient Greek original. It’s sculptor, Polykleitos of Argos, wrote a treatise on the perfect proportions of the human form and created this statue as an example. Polykleitos envisioned the human body as a harmonious set of divinely inspired ratios. By studying numerous models and measuring the key ratios such as the size of the head to the size of the body, he arrived at what he thought were the ideal proportions for a human. Typical of Classical art, the figure is in the prime of life, and blemish-free. It is not a portrait of an individual but rather a vision of the ideal.
The Venus de’Medici (above right) is a Roman copy of a fourth-century BCE Greek original by Praxitiles, the best-known sculptor of his time. Its refined profile and modest pose are features of the Greek idealization of human figures. Although nude goddesses were unknown in early periods of Greek art, this figure came to represent a feminine ideal, and has strongly influenced many artworks since that time, down to the feminists of the twentieth century who rebelled against it.
Idealism in Contemporary DesignWhat about art in our own times? Is the notion of idealism and beauty still relevant today?
Are contemporary artists and designers concerned with idealistic beauty, with the underlying idea the form represents? And if so, where do we get our visions of the ideal today? From art, design, media, or some other realm?
Idealism is not confined to the traditional fine arts, such as painting and sculpture. “Objects of all kinds, from ancient carefully crafted flint knives to today’s personal digital devices, have been conceived to delight the eye as well as to serve more obviously useful functions. Well-designed utilitarian objects and spaces, from spoons to cities, bring pleasure and efficiency into our daily lives. Artists transform objects for daily use by either designing them in new ways or by embellishing them; sometimes both.” (Artforms, p. 20)
Idealism in Product/Industrial Design
Everyday objects such as the Macbook Pro (above) express the idealism of our technological age.
Apple founder and CEO Steve Jobs revolutionized the way we think with computers (Links to an external site.). He fused idealism with digital technology. For Jobs, the Mac was the tool of liberation, and he demanded perfection, originality, and human-centered design (Links to an external site.) in every detail of Apple products. Jobs once stated that “by building affordable personal computers and putting one on every desk, in every hand, I’m giving people power. They don’t have to go through the high priests of mainframe – they can access information themselves. They can steal fire from the mountain. And this is going to inspire far more change than any nonprofit.”
Idealism in Architecture/Environmental Design
The Oculus, a transportation hub designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, expresses an idealistic vision of American resilience. It reminds us that, even in the face of devastation, there is hope.
Located mere feet from the September 11th Memorial and Museum in downtown Manhattan, and a regular destination for visitors to Ground Zero, it takes the shape of a bird, specifically a phoenix, in mid-flight. The symbolism is immediate and you can’t help but feel the power of the idea that underpins the form. The angle of the windows is particularly placed so that every year on the anniversary of the attacks, the sun shines directly through the skylight and illuminates the main hall at 10:28 a.m. (the time of the collapse of the second tower).

Idealism in Graphic/Digital Design
Graphic designers combine art and technology to produce powerful designs that express idealism and promote change.
Born in Zimbabwe, a former British colony with with apartheid-like discrimination, graphic designer Chaz Maviyane-Davies creates smartly-designed posters that speak truth to power and advocate issues such as human rights, AIDS research, environmental protection, and free speech. In 2002, he embarked on his most well-known project to raise consciousness about the abuse and violations of rights being perpetrated by the corrupt president, Robert Mugabe, and encourage people to vote. During a month of graphic activism called “The Portal of Truth,” he created graphic commentaries every day, for 30 days, until the eve of the elections, and distributed them by email. The poster, above, depicts a member of Mugabe’s ruthless militia, trained by North Korea, and distinguishable by their red berets.

Your AssignmentIn this assignment, you will find and post a specific example of contemporary design (from one of the three design fields listed below) that expresses an idealistic vision. You will then write and post a 500-650 word analysis, in which you describe and examine your choice, the idea it represents, and how it expresses this idealistic vision. You will support your key points with ideas and information you find in the resources provided, the internet, and with your own observations, ideas and insights. Please cite your sources.
This Discussion is worth 100 points. Please read the instructions and Grading Rubric before you begin.
Due Date
Your first post to this Discussion is due by Sunday, April 10 at 11:59 p.m.
Your responses to posts by at least two different classmates are due by Sunday, April 17 at 11:59 p.m.
You must post in the Discussion before you can read your classmates’ posts.
Before You BeginLearn About the Language of Style
Before you begin, please read about The Language of Style. Using types of style to examine and interpret works of art is a key skill you will take with you from this course. Pay close attention to what we mean by “idealization” in art.Instructions and Grading CriteriaImportant! Approach this discussion as you would if you were writing a college paper. In other words, don’t just start writing in the discussion board without having a plan. I recommend that you open a Word document and write a polished 500-650 word paper, then copy and paste this into your discussion post.
Step One: Select a Specific Example of Contemporary Design
Explore the links below, the internet, and the world around you until you until you find a specific example of contemporary design that expresses an idealistic vision. Think out of the box! You will not select a work of art in the traditional sense, such as painting or sculpture. Instead you will select a specific well-designed product, building, or graphic form that serves a clear function and also expresses an idealistic vision. The internet is filled with information, images, and videos about architecture and design, and I encourage you to do additional research about the work you select. More information about Design Disciplines can be found in Artforms, Chapter 11, pages 176-187.
Explore these links to learn about the different types of design. This will help provide ideas and inspiration as you search for a specific example of design (e.g. a specific product, building or graphic/digital design) to write about. You are not required to select your specific example of design from these links.

Step Two: Post in the Class Discussion
Your post is worth 80 possible points
After you select a specific example of contemporary design, write and post a 500-650 word analysis, in which you describe, examine, and evaluate the design and how it expresses an idealistic vision. Organize your analysis into three paragraphs, listed below, and follow the instructions. Although not required, it may be helpful to use headings.
At the beginning of each paragraph, write a concise topic sentence that clearly states what the paragraph is about. This topic sentence will help frame the controlling argument for each paragraph and will help your reader follow your key ideas.
Paragraph One: Description and Function
This paragraph should be between 150-200 words
First, post an image, or post a link to the specific example of contemporary design you are writing about. For example, if you choose to write about the design of a specific website, you would post a link to that website. You may also include a link to a video by or about the designer or architect and their work.
In your topic sentence, clearly state the name of the example you selected and its function. Do this in one sentence.
For example: “The Macbook Pro, the well-known Apple laptop, is a portable computer that helps people access information and complete complex tasks for themselves.”
Next, describe the overall design as you would to someone who hasn’t seen it. Paint a detailed picture with words. Your description should be so clear and specific that the reader can imagine, in their mind, how it looks and functions.
Paragraph Two: The Idealistic Vision
This paragraph should be between 200-250 words.
In your topic sentence, clearly state the idealistic vision represented in the design example. What is the big idea that underpins the design? What is the ideal the designer was aiming for?
For example: “The Macbook Pro uses an intuitive human-centered design that promotes individual power, creativity, and liberation.
Next, explain in detail how this ideal is manifested in the design. How does the design express this idealistic vision…the big idea? Support your key points with several specific observations from the design you selected. Each sentence must be clear and descriptive. You can also use ideas and information you find online, as well as your own ideas and insights. Please cite your sources.
It may be helpful to consider some of these factors:
You don’t need to answer all these questions. They are here to get you thinking.
What is the higher purpose that the design serves?
Does the design convey a conception of beauty or a standard of perfection?
Designers and consumers are driven by their wants and needs. What are the wants or needs that this work fulfills?
What is the designer’s primary worldview and creative motivation? How do they impact the design?
Paragraph Three: Evaluation
This paragraph should be between 150-200 words
In your topic sentence, briefly summarize whether or not you think the design was effective or successful, and why. Do this in one sentence.
For example: “Perfect in every detail and fun to use, the Macbook Pro revolutionized the way we think with computers.
Next, analyze your own reaction to the design and evaluate it’s effectiveness in more detail. Explain why, or why not, you think the design is successful. Support your key points with specific observations from the design you selected.
It may be helpful to consider some of these factors:
Again, you don’t need to answer all these questions. They are here to get you thinking.
What initial ideas or feelings come to mind after experiencing the design?
Based on your life experiences, is the design personally relevant to you? Does it impact your life or your way of thinking?
Does it express ideals that are important or valued within your community or culture? To you?
What is it about the work of art that you like the most? The big idea? The way it was designed or executed?
Do you think your experience of the design is the same as what the designer intended?
Step Three: Respond to Two Classmates
Each post is worth 10 possible points (20 points total)
Next, review the posts of your classmates. Post a thorough and cogent response to a post by two different classmates (at least 100 words each). Add a new insight to the discussion that helps the reader better understand the work of art. To do this consider the following:
Do you agree with your classmate’s analysis and evaluation? Why or why not?
Did they leave out something important? If you think so, introduce this to the discussion.
Did you find something interesting in the post, but you don’t fully understand? Politely ask them to clarify for you.
GradingThis Discussion topic is broadly framed and there is no right or wrong answer. Instead, you will be graded on how well you demonstrate your ability to think clearly about this topic and logically support your ideas with concepts from the readings, online sources, and your own observations, ideas and insights.
Before you submit your posts, take a little more time to proofread and revise your work to make sure that what you write actually conveys what you intend to say. Your posts must be clearly-written, well-supported, grammatically correct, and free of spelling and punctuation errors. This is a college level assignment!
Please review the Grading Rubric before you begin. You can view the Grading Rubric by clicking the three dots in the upper right of this page, then click “Show Rubric.” Here are more instructions for viewing the Grading Rubric (Links to an external site.).Earn a High Grade
Before you begin, read all of the instructions, as well as the rubric.
Include key ideas contained in the links provided on this page.
Start with an outline and organize your main points into separate topical paragraphs.
Write concise and clear sentences that clearly convey what you intend to say.
Write in third person, present tense, as much as possible.

Include your own insights that support your main points.
Assignment Feedback
I care very much about the quality of work you submit and I will carefully read, evaluate, and provide feedback on your post within approximately one week after you submit responses to your classmates (usually sooner). As you can imagine, this takes time and I appreciate your patience while I assess your work.
Mixed-Method Survey and Descriptive Statistic Analysis
Hello, I need help with these two assignments, I attached all the required materials, and here are some more details from my teacher:First, you are to compose a survey demonstrating best practices to elaborate, confirm, and uncover themes (reasons, perceptions, opinions) related to your personal disaster research problem/ question in your chosen population. (Week 8-9)Simultaneously, you are to further develop statistical skills by reviewing prior recommended assets (week 4, 5) to apply an analysis with descriptive and correlation analysis on a dummy set of data. You should be receiving your draft literature search back from the writing center, and make the recommended revisions. I would transfer the appropriate background to your IRB application. The First assignment’s question is:Using data from the Literature Review or Qualitative Interviews, create a survey for administration to 100 participants to validate your interpretation and elicit more robust data for your specified research question/problem using a larger sample of your populationSeveral questions will be demographic and/or quantitative (age, family size, income, expense, education…). At least 60% of the questions MUST be designed to confirm or reject your interpretation of the previously acquired Literature Review or Qualitative Interviews on your question or problem. In order to make the survey tool most useful, should there not be confirmation of your findings, there should at least be a “free text” option for every question, and ideally a good portion of the questions should be “open ended” in construction. (Project requirement.)A general rule, even if you are proposing closed or categorical questions, would be to A) keep any intervals the same size (age range in 10-year increments, as an example) and allow for a free text answer if none of your options apply. Again, avoid wording that steers the respondent to your preferred answers (bias)From your individual investigation (literature search) you should stipulate how many questions are reasonable to maintain the subject’s engagement and thoughtful completion. Also consider how long your survey would take to complete (IRB form consideration, consent consideration), and how fatigue the respondent might be after x questions. The second assignment’s question is:1. Using the data set provided, calculate the mean, median, mode, interquartile range, and standard deviation for the numerical values in the set.2. Choosing the best Correlation Coefficient, describe the relationship between age and income, age and education, and income and education.3. Compare the data set statistics to the Policy Map data for your selected study population.
That’s all you might need and please let me know if you have any questions.

Poem: Kaylin Haught, “God Says Yes to Me” (Links to an external site.) (1995)
Video: Roxane Gay, “Confessions of a Bad Feminist” (2015)
Sojourner Truth, “Ain’t I A Woman?” (Links to an external site.) (1851)(or use this version (Links to an external site.), which only includes the speech itself and not all the context. (I find the context fascinating, but the speech itself is what’s important. But definitely read my background note below!)
A bit of background on the Sojourner Truth speech:
“Ain’t I A Woman?” is an 1851 speech delivered by ex-slave and feminist activist Sojourner Truth, who was an amazing person as you will see from her words. In her speech, she advocates for black women to be included in the feminist movement–and she is speaking to a room full of white women and men who– AT FIRST — don’t even want her to speak at all. By the end, they were all taken by Truth’s true words, and while it took a whole lot longer for white women to include women of color in the feminist movement, this speech was the start.
These readings (and all of the readings and videos we’ve explored in this module) are informed by the idea of intersectionality, which we will explore in detail in Module 2. Basically, intersectionality understands that people’s identities are complex and not simply equal to one aspect of identity, such as gender. Gender always “intersects” with race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender identity, nationality, socioeconomic status, (dis)ability, religion, and other factors. We should always acknowledge that women are diverse and not all the same.“I sell the shadow to support the substance”: Sojourner Truth (1797-1883), born Isabella Baumfree to a family of slaves in Ulster County, New York, escaped with her daughter in 1826, a year before New York state’s emancipation. After living in a commune, she converted to Christianity, changed her name in 1843, and became an itinerant preacher. The publication of the Narrative of Sojourner Truth, recorded in 1850 by her friend Olive Gilbert, and “Sojourner Truth: The Libyan Sibyl,” written by Harriet Beecher Stowe for the Atlantic Monthly in 1863, raised Truth’s national profile. She toured with abolitionists Frederick Douglass and William Lloyd Garrison and earned money from these speaking engagements as well as from the sale of images. As demonstrated by the inclusion of text on her cartes-de-visite, Truth actively controlled the dissemination of her image as a proper, educated, middle-class woman to support herself and her activist work. An ardent feminist, Truth often had herself represented proudly engaged in “women’s work,” such as knitting. (source: International Center of Photography)

The Annotated Bibliography
The Annotated Bibliography
This assignment is crucial; it allows you to explore various positions on your issue and conduct the necessary research before you dive into your Problem/Solution Research Paper. To search for information about your issue, use various keywords to narrow your search and find the best articles, websites, etc. Remember to select articles and references carefully and to be suspicious when deciding which articles to use. Also, remember to include those articles that you might not even agree with. They will be important to you, too. Keep in mind that all of your sources must be substantial sources; a one-page article simply won’t be acceptable.
The Annotated Bibliography: Find five sources that deal with your issue and present varying positions. Make sure to vary your sources (articles from the Web and library databases that include websites, magazines, academic journals, newspapers, etc.). However, the majority (at least three) of your sources must be scholarly journal essays retrieved from the library’s databases; these are the most authoritative and reliable sources.
Once you have decided on your five sources, you will have to read and analyze them and take good notes. If they are long or book-length articles, then do your best to skim them. Always look at the table of contents, the chapter headings, and the index or bibliography in the back. You can learn a lot about a book from doing these things before you read it at length. You will then go back and read carefully the parts that are relevant to your Problem/Solution Research Paper.
To create your draft of the Annotated Bibliography, make a list. List the sources alphabetically by author’s last name, using MLA style, and then write a careful summary of each source, which you will place beneath each citation. Make sure to identify the author’s claim in your short summary. Review the two student annotated bibliographies in this module.
Note: Please carefully review the materials below, as well as the materials in the Week 4 module for support with this assignment.

Women tend to have less power in organizations than men. To demonstrate gender differences in power, just look at the gender composition of executive boards for top performing companies. As of 2015, only 18.8 percent of Fortune 1000 company board seats were occupied by women, and only 20.6 percent of board seats were occupied by women at Fortune 500 companies. This disparity does not only highlight discrimination and the glass ceiling that many women face. It may also be bad for business.
In Chapter 9, we learned that diverse groups may be more creative and innovative, and that decision-making is more accurate when a group has a variety of perspectives. This principle appears to be true when it comes to diverse executive boards. A recent review of 140 studies found that having women on an executive board boosted returns, especially in countries with stronger shareholder protections. The same review found that having female board members helped companies’ marketplace performance in countries with higher gender equality. In addition, boards with greater gender diversity are better at monitoring company performance and engage in more strategic involvement. Other research suggests that diverse executive boards are not always beneficial. In most circumstances, having women with greater power on a board led to more strategic change in the organization. However, this is only true when the company is not threatened by low performance.
Many countries are trying to improve their economies by creating “pink quotas” that promote more gender diverse boards. As of 2008, Norway requires women to hold 36% of board seats. Similarly, France passed legislation in 2011 to promote gender diverse boards. As a result of the law, 48 percent of new directorships were held by women in 2013.

Package-delivery services, such as FedEx®, DHL® and UPS®, offer a number of different shipping options, each with specific costs associated. Create an inheritance hierarchy to represent various types of packages. Use Package as the base class of the hierarchy, then include classes TwoDayPackage and OvernightPackage that derive from Package. Base class Package should include data members representing the name, address, city, state and ZIP code for both the sender and the recipient of the package, in addition to data members that store the weight (in ounces) and cost per ounce to ship the package. Package’s constructor should initialize these data members. Ensure that the weight and cost per ounce contain positive values. Package should provide a public member function calculateCost that returns a double indicating the cost associated with shipping the package. Package’s calculateCost function should determine the cost by multiplying the weight by the cost per ounce. Derived class TwoDayPackage should inherit the functionality of base class Package, but also include a data member that represents a flat fee that the shipping company charges for two-day-delivery service. TwoDayPackage’s constructor should receive a value to initialize this data member. TwoDayPackage should redefine member function calculate-Cost so that it computes the shipping cost by adding the flat fee to the weight-based cost calculated by base class Package’s calculateCost function. Class OvernightPackage should inherit directly from class Package and contain an additional data member representing an additional fee per ounce charged for overnight-delivery service. OvernightPackage should redefine member function calculateCost so that it adds the additional fee per ounce to the standard cost per ounce before calculating the shipping cost. Write a test program that creates objects of each type of Package and tests member function calculateCost.

MA RAINEYS Movie Critique
The eponymous character in the play/film is Ma Rainey herself. But is she the protagonist? Using examples from the film adaptation (specific performances, the way scenes are shot, the narrative structure, etc.) write about which character you think is the main character. Whose story is this?
FILM CRITIQUE GENERAL GUIDELINES
You will write eight critical responses to film adaptations this semester. Your responsesshould be brief, 1-2 pages in length, but detailed and thorough.
Writing a successful critique means going beyond simply deciding whether the filmadaptation was “good” or “bad”. Value judgments like “it was great” are impossible tosupport with any real evidence. Instead, carefully consider the effectiveness of the filmadaptation, and how the creative choices made by the director, actors, and designers informyour understanding of the play. You may begin by simply asking yourself your generalemotional response to the film (I loved it, I only liked certain aspects of it, I thought it wouldnever end…) but that is merely scratching the surface. Your task is to determine critically andthen articulate intellectually why you believe the film succeeds or fails in its adaptation of theplay you read.
Justification of your opinions is key. There is no “right” or “wrong” response to a work ofart. However, if your perspective lacks justification your opinions will lack validity. Stating“this film was effective because the acting was good” will not suffice. Why was the actinggood, and what do you mean by “good”? Explain and use examples.
Example:Incomplete:Among the cast, performance styles varied. Meryl Streep’s interpretation of MotherCourage also appeared inordinately funny.
Complete:Among the cast, performance styles varied; rather than fragmenting the production, however, this collage of techniques complemented the evocative and eclectic settingand highlighted the way that Kushner’s script spoke across specific historicalmoments. Meryl Streep’s interpretation of Mother Courage also appeared inordinatelyfunny, thereby turning preconceived notions of the tragic character on their headand allowing the contemporary audience to see the play with fresh eyes.(Excerpt from Theatre Journal 2007).
The non-underlined portions merely state the author’s observations. The underlinedportions explain and justify why these observations matter.
Use these general guidelines to inform your approach to writing your critiques. Eachcritique will have its own specific prompt.

Project 4: Space
For this project, you will create a design consisting primarily of one element of art—the element of space. Follow these steps in creating your design:
For the surface of your design, use art board, illustration board, or an Adobe Illustrator document.
Your surface or document should measure 16″ x 20″ with a one-inch border around all four sides. To insure your design does not exceed the margins, use artist tape to outline the margins.
You are to create an original composition in which a variety of objects are portrayed in one- or two-point perspective.
You should incorporate an effective use of the principles of design, particularly in the areas of emphasis/focal point and unity of composition. Consider using the rule-of-thirds.
Your design should be abstract or nonobjective, not realistic or pictorial. There are three basic types of art: representational, abstract, and nonobjective. Representational art attempts to represent the actual visual qualities of objects or subjects from reality. Abstract art takes objects and subjects from reality and presents them in a different way—simplified, manipulated, or distorted. Nonobjective art is oftentimes mistaken for abstract art. Nonobjective art represents nothing found in the natural world; it is purely conceived for aesthetic reasons. There is no recognizable object.
Feel free to express personal spiritual views in your design.
You are not limited in the media used. For example, you may use paint, pencil, pastels, marker, paper, digital software, or whatever is necessary to create a successful design with strong visual appeal. The main requirement is for your design to be one- or two-point linear perspective.
Once you have completed your project, take two pictures of your design—one with you holding your artwork and one that is a close-up of the artwork itself. Use a good camera to photograph your work. A simple point-and-shoot will suffice. Make sure the images are crisp and clear and taken in good lighting. Your images should be in JPEG format (.jpeg). You will need to submit both images. If you created your design using Adobe Illustrator, save your work as both an Illustrator file (.ai) and a PDF (.pdf). You will need to submit both files.

TipsIn planning your design, establish a horizon line, vanishing point(s), and imaginary lines, which move towards the established vanishing point(s). Consider other elements which contribute to the three-dimensional effect such as overlapping objects, choosing colors which either recede or precede visually, using graded value on objects to make them appear three-dimensional. For example, a circle shaded to appear as a sphere.

Empowering Sexual Minorities in Post-Authoritarian Tunisia and Lebanon: Youth, Art and Political Rights
This Memo explores the political voice of sexual minorities in post-conflict and post-authoritarian contexts. It focuses on the role of social media and collective action with regards to lesbian gay bisexual and transgender (LGBT) activism in Tunisia and Lebanon. Regardless of the international support of LGBT rights, Tunisia’s legislators have yet to decriminalize sodomy laws in place since 1964. Instead, repression of this minority in society has risen since Ben Ali’s ouster. In Lebanon, on the contrary, the legal ban on same-sex sexual activity has been lifted in 2014. Despite the Lebanese legal breakthrough, conditions in both cases are fragile and precarious. LGBT advocacy networks push for social recognition and are part of a broader youth activism movement to shape transitions in the post-Arab Spring era.
Given the repressive politics in Tunisia and Lebanon, the Memo explores the question of why difficulties persist and how youth, particularly the LGBT community, could counter and prevent recurring patterns of violence.
This Memo recommends that the President support youth activists and art more directly in its Middle East foreign policy strategy. It maps different types of activities to illustrate how art has served as a medium to create innovative spaces of deliberation for these youth. In addition, the Memo explores the impact of collective action from within the community to prevent the recurring violence and best practices on how to effectively educate society. The author argues, however, that the creation of this new fragile spatiality is challenged by several factors, including narratives and memories of secularist and Islamist traditions.
Culture and management about the The Public Integrity Section (PIN)
Please tell me something about the layers of culture (values, norms, artifacts) in the Public Integrity Section (PIN) in the department of justice. Max 300 words and note your citation.
The explanation of the layers of culture that you might be used:
ARTIFACTS
This is the level of culture closest to the surface. Artifacts are things you can see, touch, smell. Ping pong tables, happy hours, and free lunches. It’s also the office layout, the logo rebranding you just did, and your company holiday party. This is typically what we think of when it comes to company culture.
ESPOUSED VALUES AND BELIEFS
One level deeper is your espoused values and beliefs. These are the things you think you believe and say you believe. It’s the mission statement you wrote together as a company, the code of conduct that’s in your employee handbook, or the six core company values your CEO talks about during your all-staff meeting.

It can be a deeper dive on material we’ve covered in class, or it can be a new investigation of either hip-hop in a country/region or a ‘big idea’ driving global hip-hop culture. Literature Question
5. Emerson believes that education should improve “elements in him,” (Emerson, 1837) meaning in the student. He believes that our studies should allow us to both study our future career and figure out who we are as people to our own ability. Yes, I think Emerson’s critique is still relevant today but it depends on the school, the student and the major of choice. Emerson says, “instead of being its own seer, let it receive always from another mind its truth,” (Emerson, 1937). He is frustrated with the fact that students are not being taught to think for themselves, they’re being taught to think and agree with what has already been written in books. Emerson’s opinion isn’t as relative now as it used to be. Our society is more open minded to new ideas and ways of thinking in comparison to older societies and generations.
6. In the short story Young Goodman Brown, Hawthorne describes the land and nature quite differently then in previous pieces we have read. Unlike many writers before, Hawthorne uses his description of nature to paint an eerie and dark picture for the reader. He describes the forest that Goodman Brown walks through as dark, scary and unknowing. He uses descriptive sentences like, “He had taken a dreary road, darkened by all the gloomiest trees of the forest, which barely stood aside to let the narrow path creep through, and closed immediately behind” (Hawthorne). By using words such as dreary, darkened and gloomiest, Hawthorne paints a scary and dark scene for Goodman Brown. This is useful to set the tone for the reader before describing what happens in the forest, almost giving an insight to what kind of events might occur. Hawthorne uses symbolism in his writing again when he says, “The blue sky was still visible, except directly overhead, where this black mass of cloud was sweeping swiftly northward” (Hawthorne). By using this description, the reader is informed of the negative state of mind Goodman Brown is in by saying the black clouds are only directly over him. This helps the reader to interpret Goodman Brown’s attitude and mood in the following scenes.

PromptThe National Health Survey uses household interviews to describe the health-related habits of U.S. adults. From these interviews they estimate population parameters associated with behaviors such as alcohol consumption, cigarette smoking, and hours of sleep for all U.S. adults.
In the 2005-2007 report, they estimated that 30% of all current smokers started smoking before the age of 16. Imagine that we want to verify this estimate. So we randomly select a sample of 100 smokers and calculate the proportion who started smoking before the age of 16. How much error do we expect in the sample proportions if the 30% is correct for the population overall? Use the applet and a give an error based on 2 standard deviations.
Below is the applet we used in the simulations on the previous page. Here are the directions.

M5.2 Knowing When to Say When
One factor that can impact employee engagement and block the attainment of strategic goals is the reality of outsourcing. Outsourcing can be motivated by cost factors, a lack of in-house expertise or even a restructure at the bidding of a consultant or new executive. In many cases outsourcing impacts employees’ job security and may lower employee morale and engagement. In addition, many outsourcing decisions include individuals or companies that may operate in other countries or even different regions of the same country with vastly different cultures and norms. This adds an additional layer for managers to consider.
Outsourcing Example:
So how exactly are decisions to outsource made? Let’s take a look at one example where you’ll be put in the shoes of a Director of Parks and Rec:
Your Task for this Discussion:
Having just looked a scenario faced by a Director of Parks and Rec, imagine the choices you would make in your upcoming Speedy Pro assignment:
The manager of your division at Speedy Pro is asking you to make a recommendation about outsourcing mental health services for the wellness clinic.
Part I: Recommendation and Conclusion
1. Consider the decisions made in the above branching scenario and share your recommendation for either outsourcing the mental health services for the wellness clinic or keeping them in the house.
2. How did you reach your conclusions? In your specific discipline (BUS)/organization, provide an example of an outsourcing decision that had an impact upon you, or locate one that has been in the news in the recent past.
3. Did the outsourcing decision involve different cultures or norms?
4. How would you recommend implementing an outsourcing decision and communicating that decision to your employees?Education

Literature Question
Personal Essay Assignment
Write a personal essay that uses your experience to illuminate wider social issues
As we’ve seen from the essays in this unit, so many of our personal stories connect to larger issues in society. Your assignment is to write a personal essay that uses your stories as a lens into an exploration of both your own life and of a greater understanding of the society you live in. Begin with some events or memories that confound you and work outwards. In Jamison’s terms, “follow the infinitude of a private life toward the infinitude of public experience.” Remember than the aim of the essay should be the asking of a question, not the answering. Approach your question from many angles.
Just like in the other stories and essays you’ve written, I want you to stay grounded in the sensory world and in your concrete memories, actions, and observations. Feel free to use all of the techniques we’ve employed up until this point, including sensory-rich storytelling, secondhand stories, interviews, imagined scenes, and outside research. Use those stories as a jumping off point for your reflective explorations of larger social, philosophical, or ethical realms.
Once you have written a draft, go back and determine for yourself what the “situation” of your essay is and what the “story.” Consider:
(1) your storytelling ability and how well you establish a strong narrative voice
(2) the quality and complexity of your insights and the risks you take. The essay should reveal something about you AND about something bigger in society.
Here are some questions that might guide your essay:
-Change is happening around us all the time – social change, economic upheaval, historical shifts. We are all subject to forces larger than ourselves. Can you think of a moment when you or your family was caught up in a moment of change?
-How did you come to an awareness of your own class/race/gender position in society or your relationship to wider historical events? How has race, gender or class impacted your passage through the world and what can your experiences tell us about those realms? (And yes, male, white and middle-class count)
Why does your family live where it does? What historical or social forces propelled them to the exact spot where you were raised and where they are today? How does their trajectory or the home itself shed lights on any issues of class, race, gender or society?
Length: 5-7 pages, double-spacedYou need to write on any one of the questions
Week 1 Reflection 1
For each of the questions you should write at least one meaty paragraph which contains at least five sentences. You are welcome to write more than one paragraph, if you want. This should not be a rough draft; it should be considered and polished prose.
Make sure you have these questions copied on to your assignment. Social scientists have proven you will do better this way— in all of your classes.
1. What did you learn from watching the Jericho Brown TedTalk? Please use 2 quotes from the video as a way to ground your Reflection. Begin with Jericho’s words and then transition to how this relates to your life and ideas on writing.
2. What has surprised you about the writing of poetry? Please explain using examples from 2 poems you read this week in the module.
3. What is your specific plan for doing the work for this class? Remember that writing creatively doesn’t happen quickly; you will need to find a quiet place where you can listen to your own thoughts.
4. What are you most proud of regarding our class?
5. Is there something you would like to ask me or tell me? (You can write a considered question or a paragraph here.)

Content (50%)
Content that relates to the required/recommended course material is accurate.
Questions are thoroughly answered, and content is appropriate for the topic of inquiry.
Content that indicates knowledge gained and potential for knowledge/skills to influence future thoughts/behavior is adequately linked to course materials (including any material brought into the course by a student). When required, citations are provided.
To support your argument, you need to cite at least two directly relevant and reputable external sourcesThe Textbook, Videos in D2L, the Case Study itself, or extra files attached to the case do not count as external resources.
Use a standard reference format. Do not simply copy and paste website addresses (although those should be included if appropriate).
For sources, consult business media (Wall Street Journal), academic journals (Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business, etc.), and practitioner journals (Forbes). Your sources should be articles from academic, peer-reviewed journals. (If you are not sure what keywords or combination of keywords to use, ask; Google Scholar will be helpful.)Reflection (30%)

Critical thinking is evident.
A strong desire to reflect on topics is evident.
OrganizationDiscussion Post and reply to another student
We learn in Economics that there are significant gains from trade and that free trade improves the wealth of all nations. In fact, during the past decades, globalization enabled our access to low priced goods and supplies sustaining a persistent state of low inflation and facilitating growth.
The above said, free trade was also subject to scrutiny in the past, and the current supply shocks caused by the pandemic and the war in Ukraine have increased the voice of criticism and dissent.
Please address and elaborate on one of the following two prompts:
Historically free trade has been occasionally criticized on the ground that, while international trade can make a country as a whole better off, it can also make some agents worse off. Elaborate on this point and provide some examples of agents (firms, individuals, or categories of individuals) who have been or could be negatively impacted by free trade. Would you continue to endorse and encourage free trade? What would you do to help these agents offset the negative impact of free trade? (Please elaborate on the point AND answer constructively to both the above questions in this prompt)
The supply chain interruption caused by the pandemic and the commodities supply shocks caused by the war in Ukraine have impacted production and global prices profoundly. Concerns are now being raised over reliance on trading partners and the globalization model that we have built in the past three decades. Elaborate on how the pandemic and/or the war in Ukraine have affected the supply of goods and commodities and trade. Would you continue to endorse and encourage globalization and free trade? Would you propose to shift the focus of US trade policy and rebuild its domestic manufacturing? (Please elaborate on the point AND answer constructively to both the above questions in this prompt)
Please make sure that your contribution is original, clear and extensive and that you support your opinions with solid references from your research. I do not grade the merits of your point of view but rather your ability to express it and support it clearly. Please include at least three solid references at the end of your post.
To get the full points you will need to:
Submit one clear, extensive and well-referenced independent post
Submit at least one informative post in reply to another student’s post. (which I will give shortly)
Scientific Career Ethical Choices
Reflection Paper Prompt
Often books and courses on ethics focus on particularly difficult ethical choices. Many ethical choices we face more frequently are far less difficult, but the cumulative result of all these little choices may be as important as one big choice.
Try to imagine three ethical choices that you might have to make in your future career as a scientist or professional. Describe one of each of the following:
a. An example of an ethical choice you might have to make frequently, or are very likely to have to make many times in your career, but one in which the right thing to do should be fairly obvious.
b. An example of an ethical choice which you would rarely have to make, or which you might never have to make, but one in which it would be really difficult to determine the right thing to do.
c. An example of an ethical choice somewhere in the middle; maybe a decision of this difficulty several times in your career, and might be only somewhat difficult to make.
In your opinion, which of the above categories of decisions is most likely to have the biggest effect on whether the person making the decisions is an ethical person? Or does it even make sense to ask that question?

Hey writer, For this assignment, I have sent you a case study which I need you to answer ONLY questions 2 and 4 at the bottom. I have also attached course hero’s answer to the questions. What I will need you to do is answer it completely originally, however if you need help you can paraphrase the answers course hero’s responses slightly. I need you to either paraphrase it super well so that when I submit the case study, I won’t get caught for plagiarism or just start it from scratch. Also, please format the answers in bullet points and short sentences rather than long paragraphs. Please let me know if you can complete this assignment for me? Please also create 1 table when answering the question 4. Please do it well and I will provide a good tip for you 🙂 Thanks
Management Question
Complete the assignment found in the “attached” downloadable file – just click on the colored text next to the ‘attached file’ to open the assignment file. Follow all direction very closely. In particular, make sure to use cell referencing. If you don’t know or remember what that is, an example is given in each assignment. If you don’t use cell referencing, you won’t receive credit for the assignment, even if you have the ‘right answers’.
- Humanities Question
InstructionsThroughout this course, you worked toward a course project by creating and sharing information with your colleagues and creating plans to help your organization. Your supervisor has been so impressed with your work that she has asked you to create a company-wide plan on team-building strategies. Your plan will include the following items:
an introduction that includes a description of your organization, http://www.jacobs.com/
tips for goal setting and what you see as the leader’s role in helping employees reach their performance goals,
ways to apply the Five Cs,
strategies for effective communication,
approaches to create or improve team rewards,
tips for minimizing conflict, and
tips for overcoming resistance to change.
Your plan must be a minimum of three pages in length, not counting the title and reference pages. Feel free to be creative with your plan. You may also use ideas from previous units but do not copy and paste previous assignments to create this plan. You are required to use at least two outside sources, and one may be your course textbook. All outside sources used must be cited and referenced according to APA guidelines.

After reading Chapter 13 and “More high schoolers coming out” and “Why transgender identity is on the rise among teens” (both available in this Module indented below this assignment page), write an essay that describes why we are seeing an increase in the number of teens identifying as transgender. Include a discussion of “rapid-onset gender dysphoria” as a possible cause. Do not use the words “should, ought or must” as you write your paper. Why? Because the purpose of this paper is to identify possible causes of the rise in gender dysphoria among teens. It is not meant to suggest changes in individual or societal attitudes tied to acceptance of transgender identity. Remember also that because some people in your generation are more accepting of transgender individuals than others may be, that does not mean that society as a whole is more accepting. In other words, do not over-generalize from your own experiences or the experiences of your generation.
You may use additional sources if you wish, but that is not required. If you do use additional sources include a References page. Make certain that your conclusions are supported by facts from the articles (or additional sources), and are not merely your own uninformed opinion. This is a paper that summarizes what you have discovered in your readings. It is not a personal opinion paper.
Write your essay using good grammar and spelling. I do reduce grades on Writing Assignments that are not coherent, easily readable, and well-organized. Do not submit your first draft. Your written work is always a reflection of you.
