According to our psychology specialists, when creating a psychology assignment or homework, students must take a complete strategy. Here are some considerations to bear in mind while working on your psychology assignment.
Select a worthy subject
Before initiating the psychology assignment, choose an appropriate topic for the task. Your topic should be original and have Internet-based resources. There is no point in selecting a topic that is prevalent or has limited material available online. Therefore, be prudent when selecting a topic for yourself.
Gather pertinent information
Data collection for assignments and homework is essential. This is not a simple step. You must be aware of all credible and reputable sources from which you might get data for your project. You may also request that our Psychology assignment writers find the most relevant resources on your topic.
Organizing the assignment

Hire Psychology essay help specialists
In a number of significant aspects, our assignment writing service is distinguished from the competitors. First and foremost, we employ skilled, qualified psychologists who know what they’re doing. Numerous so-called essay writing firms outsource their work to freelancers who may or may not have adequate knowledge of the subject matter and compose their papers using Google searches. In contrast, our writers are psychology professionals who are capable of writing exceptional papers based on their own knowledge.
Second, our psychology assignment writing service is recognized for its anti-plagiarism policies. Plagiarism is a scourge of the essay writing industry, with many essay services using writers who duplicate substantial chunks of their essays from other sources, and in some cases plagiarizing entire essays or books. This is a significant issue because plagiarism can result in a failing grade. Our authors generate 100 percent unique, properly referenced work, so you can rest assured that when you order from us, you will receive an essay based on your precise requirements.
Buy Psychology Assignment
In addition, we appreciate the quality of the work we do and always ensure that it matches the company’s standards. Unlike our competitors, we take all of your work seriously and take all necessary precautions to ensure that it is error-free.
Our essay writers are also renowned for their punctuality. We do not employ writers that push back their deadlines until the last minute and provide subpar essays that result in failing grades. If you request assistance with a psychology assignment, we will deliver it on schedule and keep you informed via email and phone. You may feel assured that your task is in capable hands.
Psychology is a more difficult subject than it initially appears. In psychology, you will investigate the wonders of the human mind, assist those with severe mental difficulties, and train them to become better individuals. Numerous aspects of psychology are yet to be discovered due to the field’s immaturity, despite the fact that its applications are unlimited. If you study psychology, you have the ability to have a significant impact on world history.
Nonetheless, you cannot afford to slack off. To advance in your academic career, graduate with honors, and launch a successful job in the real world, you must diligently study your course content and complete your assignments. Our service will be of great assistance to you in completing your psychology assignments, ensuring that you master the required subject. M3: Learning Activity “You Are the Weakest Link.. Goodbye”
ALL THE DETAILS BELOW:OverviewGame shows, sporting games, and competitions of all sorts are designed to drive our motivations. However, the environmental conditions or the ways the rules are set up push participants toward different goals. For example, the Kahoot! game that was part of the self-check for this lesson had a leader board at the end. Students with a mastery approach to this assignment would take the self-check quiz as intended and go back to the readings if they performed poorly. On the other hand, one minor change could shift the entire perspective. What if the Kahoot! was used to award extra points for the top winners, or penalize the lowest performers? This would certainly change students’ motivation to take the Kahoot! But, it would also impact many other things as well.
DetailsConsider the questions below as you reflect on the implications of goal theory in our everyday lives.
1) Consider the following questions about goal orientation and use reasoning to answer the following questions?
–Would a person with a purely mastery orientation likely to cheat? Why/Why not? — USE EVIDENCE FROM THE LEARNING MATERIALS TO JUSTIFY YOUR RESPONSE.
–When given a choice between an easy competition or a hard competition, what would a person with mastery orientation choose and what would a person with a performance orientation choose? Why? — USE EVIDENCE FROM THE LEARNING MATERIALS TO JUSTIFY YOUR RESPONSE.
2) Select two well known individuals engaged in a game show or competition and identify specifically what type of goal orientation you think they align with (e.g., mastery, performance approach, or performance avoidance). Be sure to select individuals that align with two of the three approaches and provide enough of an explanation with context as evidence so that your instructor can understand why you selected that orientation and evaluate your understanding of the content based on your explanation.
Note: They can be either fictional (e.g., Beth Harmon from Queens Gambit) or real-life (e.g., Lance Armstrong the cyclist, Ken Jennings who had a very long Jeopardy! streak).
3) The game show “The Weakest Link” was set up with rules that specifically emphasized individuals performance avoidance goals. Nobody wanted to be the weakest link and get voted off! Select a different game show or competition and identify what type of goal orientation it emphasizes (e.g., mastery, performance approach, or performance avoidance) and provide enough of an explanation and context as evidence so that your instructor can understand why you selected that orientation and evaluate your understanding of the content based on your explanation.
Responses should be approximately 300-400 words in length.

STUDENT’S LOG ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONSOVERVIEW
The spiritual disciplines of serving and stewardship are the heart of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “Even as the Son of man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mt. 20:28, RSV). One’s service to Christ is demonstrated in the sharing of one’s time, talents, and treasure, in a single word, “stewardship.” Closely connected to serving and stewardship are the disciplines of fasting, silence, and solitude. Each of these disciplines were practiced by Jesus Christ and transformed His disciples into His glorious image.
INSTRUCTIONS Following the assigned readings, presentations, and daily observations, reflect on how you practice the specific spiritual disciplines listed in the Student’s Log assignment title of the assigned module (Worship and Evangelism): week.
? Write a minimum of 600 words.? As this is a personal student’s log entry, first-person is preferred.
? Incorporate at least 2 scholarly citations and 3 biblical integrations.
? Use Turabian format and include a title page, footnotes, and a bibliography.
Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.
design thinking
First, based on the problem/invention idea you described in Module 5, create a Customer Journey Map which will serve as an important part of your Design Thinking project (you will incorporate this in your final project). This is an important part of the empathy and ideation stages that lay the groundwork for additional design, innovation, and prototyping. If you need to review Journey Maps again, we covered the concept in Module 7. You may use one of the templates.
Second, create a customer-centered job map. This should also be incorporated into your final project, and both of these tools should help further your innovation ideas.
Third, briefly analyze your results and outline the next steps in your project.
If you are working in a group for your final design thinking project, you should still complete this assignment individually! You can then select one or more of the maps to include in your final project document.

Resolving Ethical Business Challenges *
Kent was getting pressure from his boss, parents, and wife about the marketing campaign for Broadway Corporation’s new video game called “Lucky.” He had been working for Broadway for about two years, and the Lucky game was his first big project. After Kent and his wife, Amy, graduated from college, they decided to go back to their hometown of Las Cruces, New Mexico, near the Mexican border. Kent’s father knew the president of Broadway, which enabled Kent to get a job in its marketing department. Broadway is a medium-size company with about 500 employees, making it one of the largest employers in Las Cruces. Broadway develops, manufactures, and markets video arcade games
Within the video arcade industry, competition is fierce. Games typically have a life cycle of only 18 to 24 months. One of the key strategies in the industry is providing unique, visually stimulating games by using color graphics technology, fast action, and participant interaction. The target markets for Broadway’s video products are children aged 5 to 12 and teenagers aged 13 to 19. Males constitute 75 percent of the market. When Kent first started with Broadway, his task was to conduct market research on the types of games that players desired. His research showed that the market wanted more action (violence), quicker graphics, multiple levels of difficulty, and sound. Further research showed that certain tones and types of sound were more pleasing than others. As part of his research, Kent also observed people in video arcades, where he found that many became hypnotized by a game and would quickly put in quarters when told to do so. Research suggested that many target consumers exhibited the same symptoms as compulsive gamblers. Kent’s research results were well received by the company, which developed several new games using his information. The new games were instant hits with the market. In his continuing research, Kent found that the consumer’s level of intensity increased as the game’s intensity level increased. Several reports later, Kent suggested that target consumers might be willing, at strategic periods in a video game, to insert multiple coins. For example, a player who wanted to move to a higher level of difficulty would have to insert two coins; to play the final level, three coins would have to be inserted. When the idea was tested, Kent found it did increase game productivity. Kent also noticed that video games that gave positive reinforcements to the consumer, such as audio cues, were played much more frequently than others. He reported his findings to Brad, Broadway’s president, who asked Kent to apply the information to the development of new games. Kent suggested having the machines give candy to the game players when they attained specific goals. For the teen market, the company modified the idea: The machines would give back coins at certain levels during the game. Players could then use the coins at strategic levels to play a “slot-type” chance opening of the next level. By inserting an element of chance, these games generated more coin input than output, and game productivity increased dramatically. These innovations were quite successful, giving Broadway a larger share of the market and Kent a promotion to product manager. Kent’s newest assignment was the Lucky game—a fast-action scenario in which the goal was to destroy the enemy before being destroyed. Kent expanded on the slot-type game for the older market, with two additions. First, the game employed virtual reality technology, which gives the player the sensation of actually being in the game. Second, keeping in mind that most of the teenage consumers were male, Kent incorporated a female character who, at each level, removed a piece of her clothing and taunted the player. A win at the highest level left her nude. Test market results suggested that the two additions increased profitability per game dramatically. Several weeks later, Brad asked about the Lucky project. “I think we’ve got a real problem, Brad,” Kent told him. “Maybe the nudity is a bad idea. Some people will be really upset about it.” Brad was displeased with Kent’s response. Word got around fast that the Lucky project had stalled. During dinner with his parents, Kent mentioned the Lucky project, and his dad said something that affected Kent. “You know, son, the Lucky project will bring in a great deal of revenue for Broadway, and jobs are at stake. Some of your coworkers are upset with your stand on this project. I’m not telling you what to do, but there’s more at stake here than just a video game.” The next day Kent had a meeting with Brad about Lucky. “Well,” Brad asked, “what have you decided?” Kent answered, “I don’t think we should go with the nudity idea.” Brad answered, “You know, Kent, you’re right. The U.S. market just isn’t ready to see full nudity as well as graphic violence in arcades in their local malls. That’s why I’ve contacted an Internet provider who will take our game and put it on the Internet as an adult product. I’ve also checked out the foreign markets and found that we can sell the machines to the Mexican market if we tone down the violence. The Taiwanese joint venture group has okayed the version we have now, but they would like you to develop something that is more graphic in both areas. You see, they already have similar versions of this type of game now, and their market is ready to go to the next level. I see the Internet market as secondary because we can’t get the virtual reality equipment and software into an Internet mode. Maybe when PCs get faster, we’ll be able to tap into it at that level, but not now. So, Kent, do you understand what you need to be doing on Lucky?”

DISCUSSION TOPIC Adversarial versus inquisitorial legal systems
Two types of legal traditions dominate the nature of investigation and adjudication around the world: adversarial and inquisitorial legal systems. Common law countries use an adversarial system to determine facts in the adjudication process. The prosecution and defence compete against each other, and the judge serves as a referee to ensure fairness to the accused, and that the legal rules criminal procedure followed. The adversarial system assumes that the best way to get to the truth of a matter is through a competitive process to determine the facts and application of the law accurately.
The inquisitorial system is associated with civil law legal systems, and it has existed for many centuries. It is characterized by extensive pre-trial investigation and interrogations with the objective to avoid bringing an innocent person to trial. The inquisitorial process can be described as an official inquiry to ascertain the truth, whereas the adversarial system uses a competitive process between prosecution and defence to determine the facts. The inquisitorial process grants more power to the judge who oversees the process, whereas the judge in the adversarial system serves more as an arbiter between claims of the prosecution and defence (Dammer and Albanese, 2014; Reichel, 2017).
Is America adversarial or inquisitorial? In most common law countries e.g. Wales, England and the United States of America, a system of justice called the adversarial system is used. This is totally different from the inquisitorial system that is used particularly in many European countries and continental jurisdictions.
Soccer VerSuS Football Pizzi (1999) has an especially interesting way to contrast the adversarial and inquisitorial systems. He uses a sports analogy of American football versus European soccer. A notable difference between these two sports—and between the adversarial and inquisitorial justice systems—is in the way rules are applied. In the European trial system and the popular European sport of soccer, rules are relatively few in number and rather easy to express. In the American trial system and the more popular (among Americans) sport of football, rules are numerous and complex.Distinction between adversarial and inquisitorial system
The following table outline contains the fundamental differences between typical adversarial and inquisitorial systems
Adversarial System
Inquisitorial System
The adversarial system aims to get the truth through the open competition between the prosecution and the defence.
The inquisitorial system is generally aims to get the truth of the matter through extensive investigation and examination of all evidence.
In an adversarial system all parties determine what witnesses they call and the nature of the evidence they give. The court overseeing the process by which evidence is given.
In an inquisitorial system the conduct of the trial is in the hands of the court. The trial judge determines what witnesses to callResume and Linkedin Draft

SHADOW EVALUATION ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONSOVERVIEW
Developing professional chaplains with a biblical foundation grounded in the spiritual disciplines requires the student to understand theory and engage in practice. For this reason, the course is a partial practicum where the student is given the opportunity to witness a chaplain or pastor doing ministry in his/her respective calling. There is no better way to appreciate the arduous work of ministry than observing the successes and challenges of a minister in the field. This assignment affords a great opportunity for the student to not only interview the chaplain but accompany him/her doing ministry. Be sure and pay close attention to the practice or non-practice of the spiritual disciplines of the chaplain or pastor you shadow.
Shadowing a chaplain means that you will accompany the chaplain as he/she performs his/her regular ministry, such as: visiting patients and hospital staff, visiting church members, attending pastoral staff meetings, observing a chaplain or pastor officiate a wedding, funeral, or worship service. What a chaplain or pastor does while the student accompanies him/her is up to the minister, not the student. INSTRUCTIONS
You will contact a chaplain, pastor, or minister and request that you be allowed to have a 30-minute interview followed by 3 hours of shadowing time. Upon completion of the shadowing experience, you will write a report based on the following guidelines:
I. Part 1: The Interview (30 minutes) 1. The interview report must be a total of at least 300 words.2. The interview report must address the following 7 issues/questions:1) Name of the chaplain interviewed, and date/time of the interview.2) Where are you currently serving?3) How long have you served as a chaplain within this ministry?4) What preparation did you receive to qualify you?5) What ministry opportunities are available to you in this field?6) How effective are your ministry efforts?7) How has your ministry as a chaplain affected your family or friends?
II. Part 2: The Shadow (3 hours). 1. The shadow report of the paper must be at least 1,000 words.2. The shadow report of the paper must contain at least 2 textbook citations, and 4 biblical integrations.3. The shadow report of the paper must address the following questions:1) Why did you choose to shadow this chaplain?2) What did you learn from your chaplain shadow experience?3) How can you apply what you learned to your current ministry?4) How do you perceive this influencing your future chaplaincy ministry?

Anti-Bullying Proposal Assignment Overview
Bullying is a problem that can be addressed. Imagine that there is an organization that has funding available for a program that will try to combat this serious social problem.
A. For this assignment, you will develop a proposal for an education and intervention program to help reduce bullying in middle and late childhood.
B. To complete the assignment, design your anti-bullying education and intervention program, then answer the questions below. (You will also want to use those questions to help guide the development of your anti-bullying program, to be sure that you are designing a meaningful and evidence-based program.)
C. Please be sure to use complete sentences, and to proofread your answers carefully, as you would if you were really seeking funding for your program in the real world. You would want to make a good impression. Be sure to meet the minimum word requirements.
D. Your proposal MUST incorporate at least TWO reliable outside sources (in addition to the textbook), and they must be correctly referenced in your proposal using APA format. Use APA format to cite your sources in a brief reference list at the end of your proposal. To be clear, the ONLY element of this proposal that needs to be in APA formatting is your in-text citations, and your references list.
Please answer the following questions:
1. Please provide an overall description of your proposed anti-bullying program. [200 word minimum][This is where you will tell us what your program is all about. What will happen, who will be involved, how long it will last, etc?]
2. How will you engage children’s peers, families, schools and/or their community to reach your goal of decreasing bullying? [100 word minimum] [Your program may not involve all of these, so answer in a way that is consistent with your program.]
3. Children in different life stages will react differently to attempts to influence their behavior. Describe ways that your program specifically addresses 3 important physical, cognitive and and/or socioemotional developmental characteristics of children in middle and late childhood, that will make it more likely that your program will be successful. [200 word minimum] [In other words, what characteristics of children in middle and late childhood did you take into account when you designed your program, and how are you trying to take advantage of those particular characteristics?]
4. Explain specifically why you think the elements of your anti-bullying program will actually be effective. [150 word minimum] You need to cite in your explanation at least 2 references (in APA Style), not including the textbook, to support why you believe your approach should be successful. [APA Style in-text citation is the type used in the textbook, where the author and publication year appear together, like this (Nelson, 1999).]
5. Explain your program assessment process. How will we know if your program successfully reduces bullying or not? [50 word minimum]
6. Provide a References list of your non-textbook sources, presented in APA format.

AssignmentExamine two of the films in Module #5 and write an essay focused on the following question: What are the differences in acting styles between two actors? The films in this section offer complex plots and fine-grained characterizations by actors who have different backgrounds and training. This module introduced method acting and the success of the method actor often depends upon realism in the story, dialog, details, motivation and the arc of the character. Here are some possibilities:
1. You may base part of your essay on the method actor you covered in your M5 Discussion or you may select another method actor from a different film. Then you must compare the method actor to another actor in a different film who is not known as a method actor.
2. You might compare a classically trained British stage actor and an American “method” actor, or a French actor and an American “method” actor, or an Indian actor to a classically trained British stage actor. There are many other permutations and combinations but one of your actors should be method except in the rare case that you compare an International actor with a non-method British actor.
3. You could compare two actors playing the same part (e.g. John Wayne and Jeff Bridges in True Grit or Sissy Spacek and Chloe Grace Moretz in Carrie or Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Redford in The Great Gatsby). Students have expanded this to include films like The Italian Job (Michael Caine and Mark Wahlberg) and Ocean’s Eleven (Frank Sinatra and George Clooney). These do not have to be method actors but two different actors playing the same part in two films.
4. There are so many articles comparing Jack Nicholson’s Joker in 1989’s Batman directed by Tim Burton with Heath Ledger’s performance in The Dark Knight (2008) directed by Christopher Nolan that we will limit the grade to a maximum of 89% for anyone who chooses that comparison. While we’re on the subject of superhero movies, please refrain from comparing actors in Spider-Man or any other films based upon Marvel or DC Comics. Many actors resist the temptation for big money because these films do not provide an opportunity for important or meaningful acting performances. The same rules apply. You cannot receive an A if you choose any of these films as your option.
5. If you just can’t find a film on the list for this module or in a previous module to compare, you may select a film of your own choosing. Please clear your choice with me if you select a film not on any lists for this course.
6. Read my announcement titled “M5 Film Selections” for more examples.
7. Look at the lists again. If you’ve seen all of those movies, then it makes sense to select one you haven’t seen. There are real chestnuts among the ones listed. Most of them took the world by storm when they were released. You could look at them historically or historicize the performance itself. Cinematic art reflects the age in which it is set and created even in our own era.
Please don’t dwell on summarizing the story, but you may consider the interplay of script-based character development and acting technique. You may research the actors’ respective training and preparation, examine aspects of their performance (e.g., facial expressions, physical movement, soliloquies, dialogue, two-character or ensemble scenes) but your main focus should be on your description and perception of their characterization in the film. If you just say “the actor’s facial expressions and body movements helped to create the character of the policeman,” you will not fulfill the prompt. You need to provide specific details that you have observed while watching the film. Look at specific scenes and tell us about those moments that reveal how the actor convincingly portrays a character with emotional impact, purpose, reaction and motivation. You may also select a film of your choosing if you clear it with the instructor. Please avoid extensively summarizing the plot at the expense of analyzing the actor’s performance. You must put the word count on your essay under your name (750-800 words). Give your essay a title and italicize titles throughout. Organize your essay with an introduction, topical paragraphs and conclusion.

For this assignment, you will formulate two thoughtful and relevant discussion questions that are directly related to the assigned reading. Here are some hints: • Write open-ended questions—these are questions that stimulate discussion and can’t be answered in one or two words. • Try to promote thinking about information rather than finding information. Try some “why” or “in your opinion…” questions and/or ask for examples. • Try to make your questions interesting and challenging. Remember that your classmates will be answering them. So make it fun! • Make sure your discussion questions are connected to the content or ideas being learned in this unit, and that the relationship is clear. You may want to refer to specific page numbers in the reading or to a website. • Try to address topics in the reading that you find interesting. • Be creative, but make sure your ideas are clear. • Please use appropriate grammar and complete sentences in your questions and replies. • Reread your contributions to ensure clarity and readability before posting. You will also select TWO discussion questions posted by your classmates and respond to those questions. It is okay if two people answer the same question, but make sure not to copy each other’s answers. It is a good idea to read others’ postings before posting your answer. Remember to use your own language. Do not copy from the textbook. When responding to your classmate’s questions, make sure to provide thoughtful and meaningful answers (at least 3-4 complete sentences); address the question fully. Feel free to express your own opinions but use examples to support your point; treat this as a short essay. You will also be expected to integrate knowledge learned from your textbook readings into your discussion responses. Cite the relevant textbook pages and references as needed. Providing examples from real-life experience that tie into the theories described in the text is also an effective strategy for demonstrating your knowledge and understanding of the learned content. Here are the two questions from students: 1. What do you think would be 3 effective ways to minimize any inherent biases present in the evaluator, when tasked with evaluating the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other (KSAOs) in a work analysis? 2. How would an organization mediate undervaluing and/or overvaluing unnecessary characteristics when creating a competency model? How would you reasonably evaluate characteristics within a competency model if you were hired to complete one for an organization?

Case Scenario:
James has been a nurse for 4 years now. He works 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on a very busy 32-bed medical-surgical unit. Census is 32, however, there were eight discharges during the day shift and eight new admissions have been steadily arriving to the floor mostly around the change of shift.
Staff moral and the sense of teamwork are low with coworkers upset with each other when the admission history, medication reconciliation, and plan of care are not completely done prior to leaving the shift.
Four patients have gone for procedures early in the evening and were stable but required frequent vital signs. James has asked the two UAP to take vital signs on the patients. He also asked a transporter to bring in a cup of medications for Mr. Smith, because he was on isolation and the transporter was already going into the room.
At the end of the shift, upon reviewing the vital signs to give report to the oncoming nurse, he noticed just one set of vitals were taken for each patient instead of the q1 hour as ordered. Upon final rounding for the evening, he also noticed that Mr. Smith’s cup of medications was on his bedside table and had not been taken.
In addition, these patients were nothing by mouth (NPO) prior to the diagnostic tests and both patients and families are upset because they never received dinner and now the kitchen is closed. James is upset.
Discuss the following questions in your discussion submission:
1. What pitfalls or obstacles contributed to James’ lack of success?
2. What delegation principles were broken?
3. What would you have done differently, if you were James?Goncalves, S. (2019). Accountability and delegation. In A. M. Beauvais (Ed.). Leadership and
management competence in nursing practice (pp. 135-155). New York: Springer.
Post your initial response no later than 11:55pm of the date posted on the course calendar.
In your peer response, present a different view of what was taken by your peer. Be concise and specific in your response and ensure that your answers show analysis and synthesis of information as well as critical thinking that relates to this week’s discussion topic. Support your response in APA format with evidence from recent, scholarly, peer-reviewed journals (preferably nursing journals). “Recent” is within the last five years. While your textbook is an excellent source of information it is not a journal. Follow this link for more information: What is a peer-reviewed journal article? Your response may be typed directly into the discussion thread, or copied and pasted from your Word document, and include citation of sources (in text and reference list) in APA format. No files can be uploaded.

MUST BE CITES, PLAGIARISM FREE AND WELL WRITTEN!
Read the following ethical dilemmas and select the one most relevant to your personal and/or professional interests to complete this discussion. Note: the following scenarios were modified from a publication written by Hammersley and Traianou (2012) for the British Educational Research Association.
As a graduate student researcher, you want to investigate racist hiring practices. However, you are concerned that unless you disguise the focus of inquiry, you may not be able to truly assess these practices.
When studying educational challenges when working with special needs students, you are confronted by a young adult with severe learning difficulties who demands to be included in the research project along with fellow members of the class, even though her parents have already refused on her behalf. The young adult is 18 years old.
In writing up the results on a study of three local preschool nurseries for publication, you realize that the analysis is likely to be interpreted by parents and the local media as suggesting that one of these nurseries is far inferior. However, there were several beneficial aspects of that nursery not quantified as part of the initial study, and that information is not available from the other two nurseries to analyze.
During the course of investigating induction processes in a military training establishment, you witness what appeared to be severe bullying of a new recruit by two of the staff. If you interfere you may jeopardize your data collection and the integrity of your research.
Using the one scenario you selected, compose a professional letter as if you were a graduate student currently faced with the dilemma. Write a professional letter to your graduate research advisor discussing the hypothetical situation (scenario) and how you think it should be handled.

Identification of Phonological Processes and SODA Analysis
Based on Sarah’s productions of target words on the phonological processes sheet, if there was a sound change in how she produced the word must add which phoneme was changed/replaced with what other phoneme. Then add the phonological process that occurred based on the given chart. If there was no change just leave blank or put a line through.

WEEK 7 FINAL ASSIGNMENT
It is not uncommon for healthcare organizations to restructure, reorganize, or change ownership on a somewhat frequent basis. As the business of healthcare is ever changing, many organizations must change to meet the demands of the industry, patients they serve, and professionals that serve them.
Referring back to the organization that you chose in Week 1 , this week you will put all of the parts of the organization you have already analyzed together, plus a few more, into a powerpoint presentation.
Your presentation should cover the following areas:
An introduction of yourself and the organization you will be discussing

Using Python, Flask, Bootstrap, and PostgreSQL, build a contact tracer website.
This website should enable people to create an account, indicate if they have been sick (from start date to end date), and list all the people they were in contact with recently (with dates). If the person was already marked as in contact with someone else, they will be told they might be sick if their contact was with a sick person. Also support different diseases, and disease has an explanation of what it is.
For example, if Julie gets sick, she will make an account and say she was in contact with Joe and James (at certain times). Then, if Joe creates an account, he will see that he was in contact with someone who was sick (since he was in contact with Julie in the time range that she was sick). He won’t be told the name of the person that was sick. If Joe turns out to be sick, he can list his contacts, too, etc.
Use a Bootstrap theme to make the website look nice. Create your own normalized tables. Everybody’s work should be done on their own, so I should not see the same code for anyone. Turn in our table-creation commands and Python/HTML code. Turn in a ZIP file.
We’ll develop some of this in class so you don’t have to start from scratch.

US Foreign Policy toward Iran and Saudi Arabia
I need help writing an essay on US Foreign Policy toward Iran and Saudi Arabia. For all the requirements of the essay, I am including a word document that gives all the information you need. If you have any further questions about the essay then feel free to ask me.
I am also including some other instructions for the essay here.
Try to narrow down your topic so it is manageable and be sure you can state it in a thesis sentence. If you cannot make a sentence about the topic, then it probably needs to be formed more carefully. Body paragraphs should consist of a subtopic supporting your thesis, or explaining it. Breaking up your thesis into subunits that become paragraphs is essential for organizing your thoughts. Most of the work for any essay occurs before you write a word.
You will need 2-4 resources for this essay. The essay is only 3-4 pages long, but you need to base what you write on factual information found, and cited, rather than just your musings. Think through what you want to say about the topic and how you want your presentation of the topic to unfold. What evidence or factual information do you need to support or explain your thesis? You can either offer an opinion or not. Even descriptive theses require support from facts. Be sure your facts are accurate by checking them against other sources from different political viewpoints. The opinions will differ, but the facts should be the same. If there is disagreement on the facts, explore the matter further to determine why and which you feel have been proven true and why.

Business Resume
What is a resume?
A resume is a brief summary of your experiences including work, volunteer, extracurricular activities, educational background, and relevant skills that highlights your qualifications for jobs, internships, specialized programs, or positions.
The purpose of a resume is to market yourself to employers by summarizing your education, experience and skills, ultimately aiming to convince employers to invite you to an interview.
A resume is like an advertisement: it must attract attention, create interest, and generate action on the part of the reader.
The resume tells a potential employer what you have done, what you can do, who you are, and what you know. It also states what kind of work you seek.
A good resume will lead an employer to invite you to an interview to discuss how your background and personality fit the organization.
Resume Format
All dates, bullets, and sections are aligned evenly and consistently throughout the resume.
Resume is tailored to a specific position, job type or industry.
Resume is easy to read, with proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.

Case StudyAnna Sanchez, a 21-year-old nursing student, comes to her nurse practitioner in December with a 5-week history of itchy eyes and nasal congestion with watery nasal discharge. She also complains of a “tickling” cough, especially at night, and she has had episodes of repetitive sneezing. She gets frequent “colds” every spring and fall.
Physical Examination
Vital Signs: Afebrile; respiratory rate, pulse, and blood pressure all normal
Skin: Flaking erythematous rash on the flexor surfaces of both arms
Head, Eyes, Ears, Nose, and Throat: Tender over maxillary sinuses; sclera red and slightly swollen with frequent tearing; outer nares with red irritated skin; internal nares with red, boggy, moist mucosa and one medium-sized polyp on each side; pharynx slightly erythematous with clear postnasal drainage (NOTE: Nasal polyps are common in allergic rhinitis. They are edematous protrusions of the mucosa that are infiltrated with neutrophils, eosinophils, and plasma cells.)
Lungs: Clear to auscultation and percussion
Initial Post: Answer the following questions about Anna Sanchez and her condition.
What evidence suggests that Anna does not have an acute severe infection?
If Anna has allergic rhinitis, what type of hypersensitivity reaction is involved?
A skin test indicates that Anna is allergic to cat dander. Two months ago, Anna’s roommate brought home a cat. Why didn’t Anna’s symptoms start when the cat entered the household, rather than 3 weeks later?
What class of antibodies bind to the mast cells?
What physiological mechanisms caused the redness of Anna’s nasal mucosa?
What mechanisms caused Anna’s clear postnasal drainage?
Response # 1: Carefully read the initial posts made by the other students in your small group.
Respond to the initial post of one of your peers in your discussion group. Identify 1 differential diagnosis for the case study presented. Identify the underlying pathophysiology and clinical presentation of the Differential Diagnosis you identified in your response to your peers. Please Note: you may not duplicate a differential diagnosis posted by another peer in the discussion thread.
Response #2: Go back into your own initial post.
Identify what diagnostic testing or additional information you might need to establish a diagnosis.
Identify what you believe is the correct diagnosis for the patient in the case study with the rationale for your response.
Identify why the differential diagnoses left by your peers are or are not the correct diagnosis and support this with evidence from research and from the case posted by your peers.

Solving Excel VBA micro question
Using VBA from excel what is a simple algorithm using a FOR statement to find the value of f by using the equation below. Construct an interface like the one below and use those values given as input. Possible values of f range from 0.008 to 0.1. Round the final answer to five decimal places to the right of the decimal and present in a message box.
The graph below shows the response of the left and right sides of the equation. Hopefully, this will help you develop a strategy to exit the For statement.
Please use only VBA Excel loops to answer the question, Please show coding. Kept getting errors in my coding trying to find where my error is or if it’s wrong all together.

i need a reply to this discussion. I think the opioid addiction it’s affecting the United States economically and it’s creating a health crisis that it’s far from ending. Every day more and more founding it’s been using in needle exchange programs to prevent the spread of diseases and in programs to help people that developed an opioid addiction.
When a patient goes to get treatment for chronic pain, should be mandatory for the doctors to evaluate if the patient has a high predisposition to become and addict. It’s well known in the medical field that some patients are more predispose than others to become addicts due to genetic factors, if the mother or father had any linked type of addiction (not only drug related), the chances of the child to develop an addictive personality is high. Opioid epidemic it’s not only affecting young patients, there is many cases of elderly patients that have to deal with opioid dependence as well developing anxiety, depression, opioid abuse and even suicide.
We can see that the same methods of patient care are being utilized for years without changes, when it comes to pain management its basically the same assessment, for example, a patient goes to the ER complaining of lower abdominal pain on a scale 1-10 it’s a 9, after the initial assessment if the pain is too unbearable the first response to treatment its morphine; let’s say this patient has a predisposition of develop addiction therefore the patient would like more morphine. Now let’s say the patient goes into surgery and after been treated with more morphine for pain during the recovery, the patient is sent home with oxycodone; after 3 weeks of treatment the patient became dependent. One of the big problems is that as a patient e keep contributing to the Pharmaceutical Mafia, most of the time patients don’t question the prescriiptions given to them specially when its opioid related, it will be great if we can develop a program on patient education in opioids, also conscientize the patient that its ok to question the prescriiption of opioid, to make sure that it’s the appropriate dosage and the minimal amount of time using these, also educate them in the alternative treatments that are not opioid related.• SAMHSA: The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA’s mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America’s communities
• ASAM: The American Society of Addiction Medicine ASAM is committed to improving access to high-quality, evidence-based addiction prevention and treatment through our national advocacy efforts.
• NIDA: National Institute on Drug Abuse, the mission is to advance science on the causes and consequences of drug use and addiction and to apply that knowledge to improve individual and public health.
If you had a friend or family member suffering from opioid addiction, what sort of help would you recommend they seek?
If I have a family member suffering from opioid addiction the first step will be counseling in order to make the person realize that has an addiction and that needs treatment to overcome it. Once the person realizes that needs external help the next step will be contact one of the agencies mentioned above in order to start the detoxification.Unit 1 Culminating Activity: The Logic Dialogue/Monologue* Working in groups of two, write a scriipt for a skit about
Unit 1 Culminating Activity: The Logic Dialogue/Monologue*
Working in groups of two, write a scriipt for a skit about five minutes long that humourously showcases various types of illogical thinking and also demonstrates a critical understanding of some general principles of reasoning. After creating your scriipt, practice it aloud a few times in preparation for presentation to the class. You may find it necessary to edit and revise your scriipt as you practice. Examples of skits that involve philosophical ideas and logic include Max Shulman’s “Love is a Fallacy” ; the witch skit from their film Monty Python and the Holy Grail and “The Argument Clinic” from the television series Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
Here is a checklist of what must be included in your scriipt:
EACH GROUP MEMBER WILL DEMONSTRATE: A critical understanding of at least one principle or law of reasoning:
• law of identity
• law of non-contradiction
• law of the excluded middle
• principle of sufficient reason
• Ockham’s razor.
EACH GROUP MEMBER WILL DEMONSTRATE BOTH:
• An example of a valid deductive argument in the form of a syllogism.
• An example of a strong inductive argument
EACH GROUP MEMBER WILL DEMONSTRATE:
• An illustration of 2 different informal logic fallacies
EACH GROUP MEMBER WILL DEMONSTRATE ONE OF: • An illustration of a formal logic fallacy
Note: With the exception of each member doing an inductive argument, the same law, syllogism or fallacy may not be used more than once per scriipt. In other words, if you use a categorical syllogism your partner must use a hypothetical or disjunctive syllogism.
You must work each of the elements in the checklist into a coherent scenario. In Shulman’s “Love is a Fallacy,” for example, the scenario of a man who is interested in dating a woman is used to present several faulty arguments made by both the man and his date in order to give examples of fallacious thinking. In developing your scenario, do not make references, either direct or indirect, to anyone in your school (students or teachers).
Edit your scriipt for spelling and grammar, and practice your pronunciation and delivery. Ensure your visuals and language usage are suitable for presentation in the classroom or school, conforming to community standards of decency.Presentation:
Submit your presentation to Mr Humphrey on google classroom. It may be audio only or use video. You may use your scriipts during the performance rather than memorizing your lines, if you wish. Be sure that each person speaks clearly.
You will be evaluated on the inclusion of all the elements in the checklist, the coherence and flow of the skit, and your creativity. Use the evaluation criteria below to ensure you are meeting all of the expectations for this project.Module 8 Knowledge Check online-course-icons_icon-learning objectives.png Purpose This quiz provides you with an opportunity to monitor your learning progress Essay

Bolino, M. C., Kacmar, K. M., Turnley, W. H.,While you are investing your capital of $1 million in your Interactive Brokers account according to your investment mandate,
While you are investing your capital of $1 million in your Interactive Brokers account according to your investment mandate, you are asked to develop a portfolio strategy, that is, come up with broad asset class return assumptions upon which you can develop a hypothetical plan (no trading) to allocate capital efficiently among risky asset classes and a risk-free asset so you achieve the lowest volatility for a given level of expected return.
You may allocate capital efficiently using Markowitz’s mean-variance framework based on the lecture and in-class discussion on Chapter 7: Optimal Risky Portfolios of the Bodie Kane Marcus (BKM) textbook.
I recommend you use broad asset-class ETFs for your portfolio allocations: global stocks, global bonds, and cash in USD (since you are US-based investors). Use ACWI for global equities, BNDW for global fixed income, and GBIL for 0-1 year Treasuries, which will be your proxy for USD cash.
You may allocate it in any proportions you deem prudent. For example, 60% equities, 35% fixed income, and 5% cash is a typical allocation in portfolios of investors with a moderate risk tolerance. However, my preference will be for you to allocate it in a mean-variance efficient manner.
The attached Excel workbook has the Solver Add-in. It is described in Appendix A of BKM Chapter 7, pp. 230-234 (or pp. 232-236 if you have the 11th edition). In the attached version, I have modified it to solve only for three assets: ACWI, BNDW and GBIL, and left Assets 4 -7 as placeholders for potential future use when more assets may be in your investable universe.
I have downloaded historical price data from http://finance.yahoo.com to calculate daily returns, return standard deviation, variance and covariance for ACWI, BNDW, and GBIL, in the corresponding tabs added to the workbook. I have calculated annualized standard deviations, variances and covariances using 252 trading days per year.My expected annual return assumptions for the three asset classes are: 8.5% for global equities, 2.5% for global fixed income, and 1% for USD cash. They are entered as inputs in cells B5:B7 of the main spreadsheet, and the rationale for each of them is shown in cells C5:C7.
As part of this portfolio strategy exercise, I expect you to come up as a team with your own return assumptions for the three asset classes and provide a sound rationale why you have made these return assumptions.
Using your expected return assumptions and the volatility, variances and covariances from the historical data, create the efficient frontier using the Solver as described during class and in the BKM textbook: find the minimum-variance portfolio, the maximum-Sharpe (or tangency) portfolio, and other portfolios along the efficient frontier by gradually increasing your required portfolio return. As I do in the spreadsheet, you may use GBIL as one of the risky assets that go on the efficient frontier, and not as the risk-free asset on the y-axis, as in the strict theoretical sense.
Do not have short positions (i.e., negative weights) in any of your assets. The optimizer will provide solutions with positive weights only if you check the box “Make unconstrained variables non-negative” in the dialog, as I do.
After you have built the efficient frontier, you may pick a point on it and implement it as your Investopedia portfolio. The optimal (maximum-Sharpe or tangency) portfolio is typically used. In my frontier, optimized using my return assumptions, it came out as the outermost point with a 100% allocation to ACWI, 0% to BNDW, and 0% to GBIL. When you use your return assumptions, the tangency portfolio will most likely be different.
Provide a short write-up discussing your return assumptions, your optimized efficient frontier (provide the main tab of your spreadsheet) and the recommended portfolio from it.This is Opposition Essay Paper. Scenario:
The issues in the software development area of Informational Systems have grown into a genuine workplace conflict. One of the issues is interdependence—the Millennials want to schedule their work on their timetable and not rely on the work schedule of the older Baby Boomers. Also, the Baby Boomers are pushing for changes in the rewards system—they believe that bonuses should be commensurate with performance, while the Millennials think that everyone should be rewarded equally for participation in projects.
NOTE: There are no right or wrong answers for this assignment. What’s important is how thoroughly you support your responses. After reviewing the scenario and the readings, especially the sections (including the embedded videos) on Stages of Negotiation and Types of Negotiating Strategies, prepare a 2- to 3-page paper on the following:
First define exactly what you think is really driving the conflict.
Then Using the five-step process found under Stages of Negotiation, work through each step describing what you would do to meet each step’s criteria. Use your experience and the readings when working through the questions – not all of the information you will need to answer the questions is in the scenario. Begin with Preparation and Planning.
Your paper should follow this outline and answer each of the questions:
Statement of the issue: what do you think is the actual underlying concern that is causing these two groups to not be able to work together? Support your answer using the scenario.
Then respond to these questions under each Step as noted in the Stages of Negotiation section.Preparation and Planning
What do you as the leader of the negotiation want to walk away with? What are the goals of each party?
What do you think they will ask for?
Do you think either party (or both) has a hidden agenda? Why/why not?
What might they settle for? Does that differ from what you have in mind?
Definition of Ground Rules
Who will do the negotiating for each party?Where will the negotiation take place?
Will there be time constraints placed on the process? HINT: Go back to the scenario to see how quickly you think this needs to be resolved).
Will there be any limits to what each party wants? Why/why not?
What will you do if an agreement cannot be reached? If you bring in a third-party negotiator will it be 1) an Arbitrator, 2) a Conciliator, 3) a Consultant, 4) a Mediator? Explain your choice based on the scenario and the information under “Third-Party Negotiations”.
Clarification and Justification
Describe your position as negotiator.Describe the millennial’s position.
Describe the Boomer’s position.
Bargaining and Problem Solving
What is your optimal solution as negotiator?Would the millennials accept this? Why/why not?
Would the Boomers accept this? Why/why not?
If neither party accepts, what will you do?
If both parties accept, what will you do?
Closure and Implementation
What is the final resolution agreed to by all parties? How will you implement it?

Discussion PromptAccording to a 2016 Study (The Economist, 2016 (Links to an external site.)), knowledge workers were spending 70-85 percent of their time in meetings. Organizations across the globe built massive open floor plan headquarters in order to encourage collaboration. As soon as COVID-19 shut down operations as normal for most companies, the online collaboration tools initially struggled and then adapted to make millions from the corporate need to collaborate. And yet, despite this time together, studies (Cross et al., 2021 (Links to an external site.)) show that nearly 35 percent of effective collaboration comes from 5 percent of employees. So, do we have a collaboration overload? Do you think we attempt to collaborate too much? If so, what are the potential downsides of collaboration? If not, what are we missing from collaboration today?
Review the readings and lecture videos provided in this module.
Provide a relevant and in-depth response to the above prompt by replying in the discussion forum below. Write no more than 200 words in length.
Provide substantive comments on at least two postings from your community members. Your response postings should be at least 50 words and no more than 100 words each.

-Dr. Payne describes a study in which researchers looked at data from millions of flights to look at what predicted incidents of “air rage”. What did the study find?
-The interviewer acknowledges that planes with first class cabins may also be more likely to be larger with more passengers and may have longer flights – all factors that could also explain the correlation found between air rage and planes with first class cabins. What is another indication then that seeing inequality between first class and coach does, in fact, seem to affect passengers?
-We seem to have a “pronounced tendency” to make upward comparisons. Even though the reasons for this are not fully understood, what is one of the potential reasons offered by Dr. Payne? What might be an adaptive function to making upward comparisons?
-What are the downsides of making upward comparisons?
-What is Dr. Payne referring to when he uses the term “broken ladder”?
-What are the effects of experiencing of inequality on our minds and bodies?
-What is the best predictor of crime and other health and social outcomes in the poorer countries? What is the stronger predictor of these things in wealthy countries?
-What is the correlation between the level of income inequality and level of political polarization? What happens as income inequality increases?
-20:00 The researchers Michael Norton and Dan Ariely once asked volunteers what kind of a country they would like to live in. The first option was shown as a pie chart showing a country where the top 20% own a third of the wealth and the bottom 20% own 10% of the wealth. The second option showed a pie chart in which the top 20% own 84% of the wealth and the bottom 20% own 0.1% of the wealth. The first pie chart represented actual data from which country? The second “very unequal” pie chart represented actual data from which country?
-In 2005, when the study described above was done, what percentage of Republicans and what percentage of Democrats preferred option one over option two?
-What, according to Dr. Payne, would have happened if those pie charts would have been labeled with their respective countries?
30:00 Why, according to Dr. Payne, is there “not really any option of not thinking about inequality”?
-What does Dr. Payne suggest as a “wiser” way to compare ourselves to others?

Instructions:
The Evaluation portion should include the same sections covered in your summary. It should NOT recycle any text from your summary. However, it should incorporate any feedback provided on your summary. For example, if I noted that you incorrectly stated that the authors used a convenience sample in your summary, when they actually used a stratified random sample, your Evaluation of the sampling approach should be based on the stratified random sampling technique they actually used.In evaluating the Introduction you should look for:
clarity and specificity of the research questions/hypotheses,
sufficient discussion of prior literature and theoretical background,
rationale for the necessity of a new study
In evaluating the Methods you should look for:
adequacy of the study design for answering the research questions or testing the hypotheses,
adequacy of the sampling approach,
quality of measurement and data collection
In evaluating the Results you should look for:
adequacy of data analysis techniques and completeness of the presentation
In evaluating EACH Conclusion you should look for:
threats to internal validity,
likely confounding variables,
plausible alternative explanations of the results
Since this is the most important part of your critique, you should devote more time and space to this section.
In evaluating the Implications you should look for:
threats to external validity,
over-generalizations or recommendations that are not warranted by the results, including in the article’s title and abstract
The final paragraph of the paper should be a section clearly titled “Recommendations to Improve Validity in Future Replications”. In this paragraph you should:Detail at least two specific changes you would suggest for future replications of this study to improve the INTERNAL validity of the conclusions.
Detail at least one specific change you would suggest for future replications of this study to improve the EXTERNAL validity of the conclusions.
Make sure you are basing these suggestions on your previous Evaluation section within the critique! (e.g., If you identified a maturation effect as a likely threat to internal validity in your critique, explain how you would address it here.)
Do NOT repeat the limitations of the study or suggestions for future research, as listed by the authors. Instead, use your own evaluation of the study, over and above what they have listed as limitations.
Make sure your suggestions are ways to improve their study (i.e., to answer the same research question or test the same hypothesis).a specific questions related to human behavior in social psychology.
Psychology Assignment Help The research paper must be formulated off a topic learned in my Social Psychology course this quarter. The topic cannot be too broad or too obvious. There must be 4 research articles related to the topic that contain actual research studies from the authors (academic journals). The paper must be done in APA format double spaced with each section underlined and have 4 sections: An intro (no abstract is needed) this should be where the question is introduced and why it matters, summary of research this is where each of the articles are discussed in relation to the topic, conclusion what should be understood from the research, references page (that includes the actual abstracts from each of the 4 articles). There is no specified word count but there should be at least 1 page worth of information from each of the 4 articles). The paper should be about 5 pages. (Each article must be published since 2010)

Wk 5 – Needs Assessment, Part 1Assignment Content
Prior to completing this week’s assignment, review Ch. 16, “Program Evaluation,” of your textbook. Refer to p 643 to learn more about conducting a needs assessment.
Your research study proposal will require you to describe the research methods and procedures you intend to use to conduct the study. This section of your proposal will combine information gathered from two items: a needs assessment and a program evaluation. You will begin the needs assessment this week and complete it in Week 6, then write a program evaluation in Week 7.
A needs assessment will help you collect valuable information about any population you are studying.
A program evaluation will use the needs assessment you’ve created to help you formulate a plan for assessing your study proposal.Using your research topic and/or question and the literature you have collected for your research study proposal, conduct a needs assessment to support your proposal. Follow these steps:
Read existing literature related to the research study proposal you have selected.
Interview at least one specialist in the field. This person(s) should provide relevant and essential information about the topic. Try to get as much information as you can on gaps that exist between available and needed services and resources.
Ask probing questions.
What is the single most pressing need that homeless individuals have in this community? What are other important needs?
How are these needs currently being addressed? If a particular need is not being addressed, why is it not being addressed? What resources are currently available for addressing these needs? Who would you deliver the needed services?
Be sure to select a specialist who can adequately represent the topic you are researching and help you determine a specific need to be addressed.
Provide the specialist with the University of Phoenix Interview Consent Form prior to conducting the interview.Write a brief (1 page) summary of your interview. Explain how the information provided is relevant to your research study proposal.

A family has contacted you about the care of their grandfather, Juan, who has Alzheimer’s disease. The nursing home staff report that Juan engages in frequent elopement from the nursing home facility when unattended, and verbal aggression that has caused disruptions to the other nursing home residents. A review of the files shows that the nursing home contracted with a BCaBA who did not conduct a functional behavior assessment but advised setting limits, being consistent with rules, and blocking Juan from engaging in problem behavior. The nursing home staff decided to incorporate these strategies by restricting Juan from accessing the courtyard or roaming the halls, leaving him to stay all day in his room with only accompanied walks to therapies and the dining hall. Juan’s behaviors escalated and they have stated they will be ordering the use of chemical restraints to block occurrences of the problem behavior.
For this assignment, complete the following:
Prepare a formal letter to the family with your recommendations.
Analyze, within the letter, at least five BACB ethical code elements that are relevant to your discussed behavior analytic procedure and this scenario.
Provide a recommendation to family members in letter format based on the given scenario.
Competency 3: Evaluate assessment and intervention methods using the BACB ethical code.
Analyze, within the letter, the use of a behavior analytic procedure using at least five relevant BACB ethics codes.

Field Assignment Instructions
The purpose of this assignment is for you to extend your knowledge in the course to the real-world to understand how media portrayals of mental illness may differ from the actual psychological disorders you are learning in this course. The main objective of this assignment is that you demonstrate understanding of the psychological disorders in this course by being able to accurately identify the discrepancies between actual disorders and media portrayals. There is often a large difference between the actual progression of mental disorders and how they are portrayed in the media. For this assignment, I would like you to investigate the difference between the textbook versions of disorders and the media-popular versions of these disorders. Each of you should collect 2 examples of reports of real life behavior from newspapers, magazines, books, television and radio news stations that appear to be caused by psychological disorders.
You are not looking for fictional characters in literature, tv shows, or movies, but rather TWO real persons who are being reported on by the news.
For each example:
1. Note the symptoms identified.
2. Check whether an official diagnosis is reported in the media piece.
3. Discuss what impression of abnormal behavior is created by the report.
4. Discuss whether that impression is consistent with the descriiption of the disorder presented in the textbook. When submitting the assignment, please include links to the media examples (or attach scans of printed material). You must provide links or scans of your research.

Option 2: Hearing
Spend between from 15- 30 minutes “observing” without using your hearing. Rely on your sight, smell, touch or taste (if appropriate). You can use earplugs or noise cancelling headphones (if you have them) to aid in diminishing your hearing. During this time try to perform several different tasks that you would normally, such as watching television (muted), or walking outside all while not using your hearing. After your observation time is over, please answer the following questions in 2-3 pages.
Briefly describe how sound travels through the ear to the auditory nerve.
During the activity, what other senses were you using and how did you use them to accomplish your tasks to perceive the world around you?
What information did you pick up on that you may have ignored if you were using your sense of hearing?
Define habituation and sensory adaptation. Provide examples from your observation time of habituation and/or sensory adaptation to support your response.
While this activity was only for a short amount of time, describe how your perception might change if one of your senses was permanently lost.

Final Assignment
In this assignment, you will be applying your knowledge of assessment in counseling to a specific scenario. Use the Resources provided and the Capella University Library to complete the following:Select one of the cases in your specialization area.
The scenario you choose should be based on your counseling specialization.
Identify the primary question an assessment needs to address for your identified scenario.
What is the primary presenting concern of the client or clients in your scenario?
Examine three different assessment tools for the identified case:
Identify a symptom checklist that might be useful, and describe its application in this case.
Describe personality assessment, and identify a personality assessment instrument and its application in this case.
Describe a third assessment that has been identified and completed providing hypothetical results for your chosen case. Examine the following:
Provide a clear descriiption of the case’s completed assessment tool, and measure of the identified problem. Use evidence from the literature to support your descriiption.
Describe how the case’s completed assessment is scored and interpreted. In your descriiption of the assessment’s scoring and interpretation, be certain to incorporate the measurement constructs (such as reliability and validity) you have learned about throughout this course. Be certain to discuss the ways in which the assessment is validated for use with diverse clients.
Review the hypothetical results of the completed assessment for your case.
Interpret and present these results in your paper.
Evaluate how assessment is linked to the practice of counseling.
As the counselor for your identified scenario, how do the assessment tools you examined in the previous section support your work as a counselor? Be certain to discuss the applicability of each to initial assessment.
Then, go beyond initial assessment to examine the ways you can use assessment throughout the counseling process.
Evaluate how the assessments can be used with diverse clients as part of an ethical assessment process.
How would you present the assessment results to your client or clients?
Describe the process of presenting assessment results with a clear consideration of the client’s unique cultural context. Be certain to identify the relevant sections of the code of ethics for your profession (e.g., ACA, ASCA).

Professor notes:
Sometimes we gain more insight from someone if we can get into their head and see the world through their eyes. This perception of how the person “sees the world” may help you understand life and the world a little bit more.Find a historical figure from one of the Social Sciences. In each unit you will dive deeper into this person and by the end of Unit 8, you will deliver an original position paper as the person on a topic that would be from that person’s social science background (5-7 pages with references and quotes)
This project is an opportunity for you to be creative and allow you to gain a new understanding of the Social Sciences. It is important to appreciate why the Social Sciences are a major part of our world and of our lives.
The idea of this project is to allow you to be creative and informative at the same time. By selecting someone who represents one of the Social Sciences is designed to help you have a better understanding of what someone from their field does and how they contribute back to their field.
If you are going to choose to do the 15-minute interview video, what you would want to do is select 10-15 questions about the type of work the person does, how they have contributed to their field, and make some predictions in their field based on the research and evidence you have collected during the term.
If you are going to do the 15-minute speech, use the same guidelines as: how they have contributed to their field and this time make some predictions in their field based on the research and evidence you have collected during the term.
If you are going to write the paper, then you will be doing the same thing as the 15-minute speech but on paper. Talk about “your” field and how it has advanced, and make some predictions based on evidence and research on the person.
So each Course Spanning Task that you do should build on each other:First, you should have selected who you were going to be…
Second, you were to develop an outline on what area you were going to talk about…
Third, you were to provide the references that you will be citing to show the research of the person you selected and some of the information you will be basing your Course Spanning Task on…
Fourth, you were to write a short update on how things are going and if you have come across any issues that need to be addressed…
Fifth, you were to provide a rough draft of your paper, or documents that will help you with your assignment
Finally, you will submit your final project.
This is a great opportunity for you to use your imagination and have a little fun.By the way… if some of you think this is a silly assignment, I just want to let you know that this assignment comes from fairly new sub-division in the Social Sciences called “Alternative History”. This is not revisionist history but using the combination of “what if?” with research and science. There have been many studies done regarding this sub-division of Social Sciences to include economic disasters and how to recover from them, military planning, political outcomes, social experiments, and even psychological experiments.
Give it a chance… you just might like this assignment.
My notes:
Now I have picked Abraham Maslow and his hierarchy of needs. It is more psychological but is a form of social science. He seems to want it written as if you are Abraham Maslow. I have a previous essay from an interdisciplinary class that can assist in shedding some light on Maslow and his hierarchy of needs just to make things a bit easier that I will attach and I will also attach my professor’s grading rubric. I’m also looking for anywhere between 4-5 sources– What did you think of the video and the things Harvey Fineburg talked about? Explain your thoughts on

an article that was published in one of the following journals only: (a) Journal of Applied
Behavior Analysis (JABA), (b) Behavioral Interventions, (c) Education and Treatment of
Children, and (d) Behavior Analysis in Practice. The written research paper must follow the
format recommended by the American Psychological Association (see Publication Manual
of the American Psychological Association, 7th edition). The paper should include: (a) a
brief Introduction (i.e., a literature review, justification, and rationale for the experiment), (b)
Method, (c) Results, (d) Discussion, (e) References, and (f) Figure/s (graphs made in

paper must be a “new” paper (i.e., it has not been turned in elsewhere for another course).
Your study cannot just be an increase in the number of participants or using participants of
different cultural backgrounds, genders, or ages. Studies on the topic of decreasing a
problem behavior will not be approved, as any study on this topic first requires a functional
behavior assessment (FBA) to be completed, and you will not learn about how to conduct
an FBA until you take Psy 617. Something about the procedures needs to change. See the
limitations of the study in the Discussion section of the publication you are extending for
ideas as to what you can do differently from the original article. Your study must use one of
the following single-subject research designs: (1) ABAB, (2) multiple baseline (across
participants, settings, or behaviors), (3) changing criterion, (4) multielement, or (5) a
combination of 1-4.
a. Here are some steps for how to develop your research topic:
i. Get the most recent issue of a journal (e.g., the Journal of Applied Behavior
Analysis)
ii. Look at all the titles to see if anything sounds interesting
iii. Pick an article that sounds interesting
iv. Read the discussion to see if any of their future ideas sounds good or
limitations sound interesting
1. If yes, develop research questions based upon that idea or limitation
(if limitation, replicate the study but fix the limitation)
2. If no, go back to step 2
v. Develop procedures from the article’s Method section. - In this assignment, you will explore the historical foundation and basic concepts and tools of psychological testing and assessment.
