Much as the company views the employees as individuals and members of the community, it also needs to recognize that the employees are social beings and they need to work together to achieve the goals and strategies of the organization.

It is the basis of a good business but management should be careful not to put all the company’s resources in human capital. Concentrating on only one perspective in an organization means that the other perspectives are neglected. However, if there is no signal that the danger has passed, this could remain in the body for a long time causing illness related to stress. The model is an adaptive response that can enable a person to respond fast to danger. This model is important as basic, but inadequate since it explains what happens to a stressed person, but does not tell how stress arises (Mulligan, E.D, 2007).
Social model
In this model, the stress is caused by a stressor, and events are not considered as one. The model evaluates the stressors in daily ordinary events of life, and different people have different perceptions of what is stressful. In this model, stress can be evaluated as positive or negative, through evaluating the stressor (Mulligan, E.D, 2007). This model does not recognize that a person could cope with a stressor in different ways, and it gives qualitative ways of measuring stress such as positive or negative, but does not give quantitative measures.
Field model
According to (Mulligan, E.D, 2007), “At its most basic, a … field is
a person and everything that is part of the person’s existence: family and friends, the
social and political world in which they live, the historical events that have influenced
them, the things they are currently aware of and the things that are out of awareness.” The field model tends to incorporate the biological and social model, and all aspects of issues that affect people. 5the field model tries to incorporate a person’s past and current, relate them in a way that one learns from the current, as a way to cope with stress, and this can be a continuous cycle. As the field change, one is forced to change, and the change could be a harmful one or a good one (Parlett, M. 2005).
Methods of measuring stress
            There are three types of methods used to measure stress; these are physiological, psychological and behavioral. In physiological method, physical tests are done, such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and galvanic skin response (Nauert Rick, 2008). Urine samples can be used to show level of adrenal hormones. This is a direct method and objective, reliable, and can be easily quantified. However, it is affected by other factors such as weight, gender and activities prior to tests. Psychological method looks into life events, where social readjustment scale (SRRS) is used, where a list of events is made and people rate the readjustment needed for each event. In this method, one can know the things that are more stressing to many, but it is ambiguous since it generalizes events, which not all people may have experienced (jeffstanden.net n.d.). It does not take into account the change that could occur, and personal injuries. It is affected by issues such as cultural differences as well as individual differences (jeffstanden.net n.d.). The third method is the behavioral, where stress is measured according to the behavior of a person towards a stressor, where people behave differently, such as aggression and violence, which could indicate anger over something, hence show the level of stress. This method is affected by the characters of individuals, such as short tempered, who react violently, and introverted people who may not show anger or violence.
Stress and health
Stress and health are quite related, where normal stress that is part of life may not cause health problems, but chronic stress may cause stress related illnesses. For instance, when one is stressed, the body initiates the fight or flight, where, “Glucocorticoids are released. This hormone inhibits the formation of white blood cells, namely the B and T cells,” (Time Management). When the b cells that produce the antibodies are not produced, the immune system goes low. The T cells kills and destroys cells that could cause cancer. When a prolonged fight or flight response occurs, the immune system could be affected; hence, diseases could easily creep in. Since many do not know how to cope with stress, some result to drug abuse that is injurious to their health as well.
Stress and ill health have been noted as being complementary in nature. When individuals cannot be diagnosed with an overt physical ailment, it is always an assumption that stress is the next viable option. In many cases, prolonged stress can lead to physical ailments when the immune system has to cope with a stained body system that does not operate at optimum. To reduce cases of many ailments, stress should be avoided.
Coping with stress
Every person will have some stress at one time, and the harmful consequences will occur if the stress is not controlled, or if one does not have good ways of coping with stress. Some stress causes are normal daily activities that one may not avoid, such as high costs of living, where bills will keep coming no matter what, work pressure in the job place, and having to cope with morning traffic. Some such as death of a loved one, or a bad relationship are common stressors to many, and many other more. What makes the stress bearable is how one copes with the stress, and there are many ways, but the following are general ones in coping with stress.
Effective Coping
Avoiding the unnecessary stress can be very helpful, since you do not have to deal with it at all. If one can avoid the traffic by taking a train to job, then there would be no need to use the car, which will mean more stress (Nauert, 2008). One can also learn how to say no to stressors such as refusing to go beyond your limit. Another way of coping with stress is changing the stressor, such as trying to dealing with the problem and changes it to fit you if possible, such as talking to asking a boss at work to change the way things are done, rather than keeping quiet. Thirdly, adapting to the stressor is another way of coping with the situation, such as focusing on the better side of the situation, such as being creative on how to cope with high expenses through appreciating just enough when there is no plenty. A fourth way of coping with stress is accepting the things one cannot change, and leaving them as they are, such as accepting the death of a loved one helps one release the stress faster (Health and Safety Executive, 2007). Finally, having time for procreative activity is good for the mind and body to relax. After a long time or week in work, taking time to have fun with friends is recommendable for helping the body to relax.
Ineffective Coping
However, some people may want to cope with stress by avoiding in different ways such as procrastination, where a person leaves the problem unattended, and takes the risk of bearing it for a longer time (Mulligan, 2007). This does not help in releasing or coping with the stress since the problem remains. Another unhealthy way of coping with stress is substance abuse, such as smoking, drinking too much, eating too much or not eating, acting spreading your stress to others by taking it out on them through violence, anger and resentment, and withdrawing from friends who could be of help to you (Health and Safety Executive, 2007).
Evaluating Effectiveness of Coping
Coping with stress can be measured through taking questions that ask one how they cope with stress through questionnaires, that could be designed to ask what people do in case of a particular situation. This would help one know the kind of techniques they use, and one can know if a person is coping or not since after coping one gets back to normal routine. In order to evaluate whether coping with stress is effective or not, one needs to know the current condition of a person when stressed, to notice changes when the coping methods are used. When one is stressed, their body reaction changes, such as tensed muscles, sweating, anxiety, and anger. In a situation where one is angry, if they choose to release their anger through playing a game, one can evaluate the effectiveness of it after the game to know if the anger is reduced or not, in case it does not, then coping has not been effective.
Causes of stress will be things that we think exceed our mental and physical ability, and they cause damage to an individual when they go beyond limits. Filipo Bruneleschi is widely known for he was one of the first engineer and architect in the Italian Renaissance. His most recognizable invention is the linear perspective. He was born to a man known as Brunellesco di Lippo who was a lawyer and a woman known as Guliani Spini in the year 1377 (O’Connor & J, 2002). He had two other siblings and he was the middle child. Unfortunately, there is not much known about his early life. His love for architecture started at an early age although his father wanted him to be a lawyer like himself.
Although he is known to have done a number of works, some two famous works are the Ospedale degli Innocenti in around 1419 to 1445 (Battisti & Filippo 250). This was hospital design that stood out with its long frontage in the bending streets of Florence. The other work was Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore in around 1419 to 1436 (Frommel 50), which was a cathedral. Brunelleschi’s works are a shaper in renaissance.
Discussion
Brunelleschi went with his friend Donatello to Rome in order to study the roman ruins. As it is put, there had not been another person in Italy that had ever undertaken such a task. For this reason, they became the first. They analyzed the styles, methods and structures used by the Roman architects. The physical fabric of the ruins proved to inspire both Brunelleschi and Donatello. It mostly became essential to the growth of each one’s unique style over the coming years (King 120).
The major characteristic seen in his works is that of being innovative and going beyond the norm. In his work the Ospedale degli Innocenti (Ross 150), the design’s long façade in the curving streets of Florence was something that most architects of that time really avoided. His nature being that of wanting to be the first, not the second and definitely not the last really influenced him. This is seen by the way he refused to be an assistant to Lorenzo Ghiberti (a renown goldsmith) in the building of new bronze doors. These were for the baptistery in Florence. Ghiberti had defeated him in the competition because of his advanced nature in goldsmith work (Toman 100).
As indicated earlier, the work on Santa Maria del Fiore of Florence began in around the same time as the Ospedale. However, the dome was dome was not yet defined to many other architects. Great Plans for the dome were made. They were closely based on the Pantheon dome in Rome. Unfortunately, they raised a number of technical difficulties since there is no one in Florence and possibly the whole of Europe who had a precise knowledge on how the dome had been constructed.
However, Brunelleschi who had widely studied the Ancient Roman architecture did not find this such a major challenge. Brunelleschi entered a competition to find a solution to most of the problems raised by many. One challenge was how the building would stand without collapsing. The competition was to balance an egg on marble. He won by giving a blow on one end to the flat marble piece (King 79).
This victory led him to dedicate most of his life to the construction of the dome. He used more than four million bricks to construct the dome. He came up with a new hoisting machine, which was used to raise the masonry needed to construct the dome. This task was also inspired by the republication of Vitrivius. It gives a description of Roman machines used in the 1st century AD in the construction of big structures. These structures included the Pantheon and the Baths of Diocletian. These structures were real and he had witnessed it for himself. He also gave forth one of the first patents for the lift in order attempt to prevent idea-theft. He was also given the first modern patent for his creation of a vessel used in river transportation. As now known, it has since come to be referred to as his most famous work, and as one of Europe’s most well-known architectural sights. In fact, it was the greatest building of that time (Toman 200).
His works can be greatly associated with where he came from. Italians are religious people and especially of the Catholic denomination. This is why cathedrals and children orphanages were what Filippo was mostly involved in at that time. His visit to Rome also influenced his thoughts, his designs and his constructions. His other works also include the invention of theatrical machinery, which was used in churches. This gives us more evidence that he was interested in doing works that had a religious perception in them. The children’s orphanage (Ospedale) is still present even today even though it has gone through a few more modifications (Battisti & Filippo 300).

The Internet provides students with ready-made research and academic papers, and access to Web sites on a plethora of topics. In this article, I describe my experience with plagiarism of ethics papers during students’ final semester before graduation. How I discovered the plagiarized work and used the A-B-C-D-E ethical decision-making model in determining the student consequences for the event are presented.

 

 
According to Gordon “Mac” McKerral (2004), President of the Society of Professional Journalists:
Only the methods of stealing are new: plagiarism and fabricating isn’t a new phenomenon, but technology makes them easy to commit-and to catch. (p. 4)
The incidence of plagiarism, intentional or unintentional, in the professional nursing arena has increased in recent years, as has the occurrence of plagiarism among nursing students (Cronin, 2003; Girard, 2004; logue, 2004; mason, 2002; Smith, 1999). Yet some authors believe that nurses are often plagiarizing without knowing it (Cronin, 2003; Girard, 2004; mason, 2002). Nancy Girard (2004), Editor of the AORN Journal, stated that many authors believe that copying information from the Internet without referencing it is an allowable practice. Between 2001 and 2003, 10 manuscripts containing various forms of plagiarized material were submitted to Dimensions of Critical Care Nursing (cronin, 2003). It has become a current practice in academia to teach nursing students the definition and consequences of plagiarism to avoid these pitfalls in writing.
Background
During the last semester of their senior year, three nursing students plagiarized the ethics paper required for their role transition course. All students had been verbally warned not to plagiarize by the teacher at the beginning of the course, and a written statement regarding academic dishonesty (Figure) was included in the course syllabus. Although it is true that plagiarism may be unintentional (Girard, 2004; mason, 2002), this was not the case in these instances.
Two of the students copied and pasted many paragraphs of their papers from multiple Internet articles and Web sites, then presented the work as their own. In these cases, the plagiarism was clear. When confronted with the evidence, both students acknowledged the cheating and accepted the consequences set forth by the faculty: failure of the course and the nursing program. However, because the students readily acknowledged their responsibility for the plagiarism, they were given the option of reapplying to the program with full acknowledgment of the plagiarism, completing a course on academic honesty offered by the university, and retaking the course in another semester.
The third case differed in that the plagiarized material was copied from several Internet sources, but cited as work from authors other than those who had written the original works. The citations were of authors who had published articles related to the chosen ethics issue, but who were not the authors of the sections noted as such. When confronted, the student was not forthright in admitting the plagiarism. Over the course of several days, the student had to be shown copies of each Web resource he had used in his paper before he acknowledged that he had, in fact, cheated. Only a few sentences in the entire paper were written by the student and were easily identified.
In questioning the student, it was obvious that he was attempting to convince me that he believed plagiarism was defined only as presenting the work as one’s own. He stated that since he had not presented the work as his own, he had not plagiarized. However, at this university, failing to properly credit ideas or materials taken from another is considered plagiarism. Therefore, the student had plagiarized his paper, and it was essential for consequences to be imposed so he would understand the seriousness of cheating.
Additional factors existed in this case that made the decision more complicated. The student was a divorced father with custody of his two young children. Graduation was days away, and he had out-of-town family coming to attend the graduation. His education was funded by the military, and he had his commissioning scheduled with the military officers. The student had already received his orders to report to his next duty station within weeks of graduation. Yet, after graduation, he would be commissioned as an officer and, as such, would bear responsibility for enlisted men’s lives. If this student would cheat on an ethics paper, deny the cheating, and only acknowledge his responsibility after being shown every page of plagiarized material, what would he do when faced with an ethical dilemma in his nursing practice? Integrity in nursing is essential. What would be the appropriate consequence in this specific situation, and what resources would be useful in determining action? the ethical decision-making model was used to determine consequences for this student.
Identification of Ethical Principles
Ethical principles considered in the situation of this student included autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, veracity, and fidelity. Autonomy relates to the student’s choice of what to tell people regarding his potential delay in graduation. Beneficence (i.e., promoting actions that will be beneficial, seeking benefits that will provide the least amount of harm, and considering clients’ best interests) and nonmaleficence (i.e., avoiding deliberate harm, any risk of harm, and harm that may occur during any faculty actions) are integral as the various decision options were being considered. Other principles considered important in this situation were veracity (i.e., telling the truth) and fidelity (i.e., keeping promises) (Burkhardt & Nathaniel, 2002).
Applying an Ethical Decision-Making Model
The ethical decision-making model selected to determine consequences for this student was the a-B-c-D-E model (Sileo & Kopala, 1993), the intent of which is to make the concepts of decision-making models practical, rather than abstract. The model, developed to promote beneficence when considering ethical issues, is a systematic guide for remembering the key elements of ethical decision making. When an event occurs that is complex and not specific to one ethical principle or another, the event must be thought through carefully and thoroughly to identify each plan of action option. The plans of action are then reviewed to determine the most appropriate action for the ethical dilemma at hand. The A-B-C-D-E components are not intended to be sequential, nor does every ethical dilemma require each component. However, to reduce the risk of missing valuable thinking points when making an ethical decision, it is better to consider more information than necessary than not enough. Using this model ensures each component is considered, thus reducing the chance of overlooking a possible option.
The letters A-B-C-D-E serve as a mnemonic in which a = assessment, B = benefit, C = consequences and consultation, D = duty, and E = education. Because this situation is not the typical client-focused dilemma, the model and definitions have been modified.
A
The letter “A” refers to the careful examination of all factors, including an assessment of the individual, the situation, and the seriousness of the event. In this case, the student’s emotional state was frightened, evidenced by his defensive behavior and denial of guilt. The disclosure of this student’s cheating has the potential to be quite serious with his commanding officer. The additional threat of failure from the program, which the military had paid for, added to the stress experienced by both the student and me. My personal values and feelings about this situation leaned toward choosing a consequence strong enough to send a clear message that the action was wrong and should never happen again, yet compassionate enough to leave the student’s essence intact.
B
The letter “B” refers to benefits and includes determining how the student, the teacher-student relationship, and other stakeholders might benefit from the decision, as well as which action or decision will benefit the most stakeholders. In addition to myself and the student, stakeholders included the school of nursing and university administration, the student’s family, the military division that had funded the student’s education, the student’s future duty station personnel, and the authors whose work he had used without correct credit. Additional stakeholders were the past and future nursing students who will potentially be held to the standard of this decision.
If I failed the student, necessitating disclosure to the military, the decision would potentially prevent his commissioning as an officer and possibly his continuance in the military. However, that decision would be for the military to make and was not my responsibility. Nor should it be the deciding factor in the consequence, as there is no direct relationship between my decision as the teacher and the military’s actions. If confidentiality is maintained, the burden is on the student to decide what he will disclose to the military regarding his delay in graduation. The teacher-student relationship will benefit through the preservation of trust, and the student’s autonomy will be preserved. The benefit to the student would be a lesson learned regarding integrity and the pride he will feel when he has completed the terms of the consequence and successfully graduated.
C
Consequences and consultation, “C,” is the third consideration in this process. The model proposes that the ethical, legal, emotional, and therapeutic consequences be considered. It also suggests that appropriate colleagues, supervisors, legal counsel, or professional ethics committees be consulted, as necessary. The ethical consequences of not reporting the incident would foster a belief that the behavior is acceptable, which it is not. If other students find out about the plagiarism and see this student experience no consequences, they receive the message that cheating is acceptable under some circumstances. There are no real legal consequences of any decision since the university guidelines are vague.
Through careful education regarding options, the student might come to a conclusion that acknowledging his offense will bring more desirable outcomes in the long term. The emotional and therapeutic consequences would be those of telling his family members that they will not see him graduate.
By exploring and educating students about the options, the teacher is acting as a student advocate, especially if it results in a change in the student’s future decision when faced with the temptation of cheating. Consultation with the school of nursing administration and department of student conduct is warranted. In addition, it is important to review the american Nurses association’s (aNa) (2001) Code of Ethics for Nurses with students to increase their understanding of the importance of ethical behavior in all aspects of nurses’, and in this case nursing students’, behaviors.
D
The letter “D” stands for duty and addresses the question of to whom the teacher has a duty. In this case, I had a duty to the university to maintain high quality and, thus, only pass those students who earn the right to graduate. I had a duty to the military to stop this student from graduating until he understood and acknowledged the seriousness of cheating and lying. I also had a duty to the nursing profession to graduate only those students who demonstrate the integrity necessary to be good nurses. If a student would lie and cheat on an ethics paper, what would he or she do when making a nursing error? Students should be held accountable to the standard established by the Code of Ethics for Nurses (ANA, 2001).
During this step in the decisionmaking process, faculty identify the options, which include doing nothing, failing the student on just that assignment, failing the student from the course, and reporting the offense to the department of student conduct. Weighing the options and consequences of each, I recognized my duty to this student’s future patients and to future students to implement a consequence that sends a clear message that this behavior will not be tolerated.
E
The letter “E” stands for education. In this context, education refers to faculty members’ and students’ understanding of the ethical principles and codes applicable to the situation. Having a complete understanding of the ethical principles of the situation and following the steps of the decisionmaking model provides a framework for arriving at a decision. In this case, the decision was made to fail the student from the course and the nursing program.
Conclusions
Cheating has become a national epidemic (Howard, 2004). Certainly a university, charged with educating the next generation of leaders, should not accept this behavior in its faculty or students. Integrity should be practiced by all faculty members, and concepts and issues related to integrity and plagiarism should be taught to university students early in their education (Bellack, 2004). Cheating should be addressed when it is suspected and stopped as soon as it is discovered.
Easy, low-cost access to the Internet has provided another temptation for students. Although a search of university Web sites yielded some excellent resources for their faculty in cases of plagiarism, typically they are vague in the area of faculty action. Clear policies on consequences related to plagiarism need to be developed and posted on university Web sites and in student handbooks. Statements regarding academic dishonesty need to be placed on every course syllabus so students are confronted with this issue in every course. Faculty also need to become knowledgeable about the many aspects of plagiarism (ryan, 1998), and exert tighter controls on the work their students’ submit.
Available resources for faculty to use to identify plagiarism include http://www.turnitin.com, http://www.Plagiarism.org/, and http://www. Edutie.com/. one strategy-having students submit their work online through http://www.turnitin.com, an Internet service that searches students’ papers for plagiarized sections-yields papers returned to faculty with any plagiarized areas noted.
Another strategy is to type in quotation marks a 4-word to 6-word phrase from each suspicious student paper into the http://www.google. com search engine. Google(TM) can find any instances of the phrase on the Internet. In every case described above, my search yielded those exact phrases in the sources in which they could be found. Going to those Web sites revealed entire paragraphs or pages lifted, in addition to the short phrases. Although skeptics of this method voice concerns that students are plagiarizing from resources not found on the Internet, this has not been found to be true. Typically, students are searching the Internet for a particular topic, then simply copying and pasting material as they are developing their paper. For nursing students, hospital Web sites are commonly used because they often include patient and staff educational material. Other commonly used sources are government sites, such as the centers for Disease control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health.
The consequences for plagiarism should be severe enough to bring about a change in future behavior. Faculty need clear guidance in determining their action in cases of cheating. Many universities provide comprehensive written material on plagiarism for their students and faculty. For example, the Duke university libraries (2001) Web site defines the nature and consequences of plagiarism and provides examples of how to avoid plagiarism. Indiana university at Bloomington provides a short quiz with immediate feedback, then presents material on plagiarism, followed by a test. after the test has been successfully completed, respondents receive a confirmation certificate of completion (Understanding Plagiarism, n.d.). the Paul H. Nitze School of advanced International Studies, the Johns Hopkins university Web site offers examples of unacceptable and acceptable paraphrasing, which may be helpful for writers (Guide on Plagiarism and Citations, n.d.). the Purdue university online Writing lab (n.d.) provides several tools for writers, including a guide for how to code their writing and a self-assessment instrument to use with their written work.
Regarding the situations described above, the university had minimal material on plagiarism posted on its Web site or in the student handbook. However, the university does require a clear statement on each course syllabus related to academic honesty (Figure). What was not clear was a policy related to the consequences of plagiarism when discovered.
Summary
The events described above were painful for all concerned, including me, as the teacher. tears were shed, and painful decisions were made. However, the result was positive. While reviewing this ethical decision-making model and the final decision, the student demonstrated his understanding of the severity of the offense and the reason for my actions. the student told me he had telephoned his commanding officer and told him that he was not graduating because he had cheated on a paper. Because of the student’s honesty, the military officer told him they would accept him to his next duty station if he successfully completed his coursework. In addition, I told the student that I would provide a written recommendation for him to be accepted immediately back into the program so he could complete the course during the first summer session. He would then only have a couple of weeks delay in arriving at his next duty station. I also told him that since he would likely be graduating within a few weeks after retaking the course, he could “walk” during graduation. the student responded, “No, I won’t do that. I haven’t earned it.” at that point, I believed I had made the correct decision and the student had achieved understanding of the seriousness of his plagiarism.

However, she surprised to see her father having sex with the house help who is almost her age. Discussion
The women in the three stories are very jealous about their male counterparts and they want to be the recognized because of their bodies. In the story by Al-Uthman, she feels that jealous when she thinks her husband might be flirting with other woman even though she does not know. She wants to try to cheat on her husband by try on younger men. This is the same case in the second story, by Latifa Al-Zayyat, where she is very jealous because her husband is flatting with other women in the hotel in front of her. This makes her very angry and she realizes that the love is no more as she was told earlier in her life by her parents of what would happen. Similarly, in the third story by Al-Saadawi the young woman is very jealous of how the house helps body has blossomed more than hers has. She constantly checks her body in the mirror for the changes. These women are not accepting their role in the world as women especially in the Arab world where the men are viewed as superior and they can have as many women as possible.
The women of these stories have a similarity in that they are under command of their male counter parts. In the story by Al-Uthman, the woman is under her husband who has prepared a superb birthday party for her. Despite the fact she wants to cheat on her husband she still has that fear of her husband. Similarly, in the story by Al-Zayyat, the woman who is with her husband and her child in a hotel fears her husband very much since she is the head of the family. Additionally, the husband is the one who is the maker of all the decisions. The entire stories are similar to the story by Al-Saadawi, where the young woman is the daughter of the man in the story. She fears talking or speaking up of what she has seen her father do despite it being immoral. All the women in the story know their places in the society despite them trying to be modern or equal to with their male counter part.
The women in the stories appear to be startled by the outcome of events because of what they have thought to happen has not turn out as they expected. The story by Al-Uthman, the woman has the urge of cheating on her husband with a young man. This does not turnout as she thought because of the memories she remembers about her son’s affair with an older woman. She is so angry that she forgets that she ever wanted to cheat on her husband. In the story by Al-Zayyat, the woman is astonished with the outcome of events when she tries to be taken a photograph with her husband. Her husband is angry because of the reaction of his wife. She thought they are still in love but that is not the case. In the last story by Al-Saadawi, the young woman is surprised with the turnout of events. As she is looking at herself in the mirror, she hears voices and when she goes to look at who could be happening, she is surprised to see her own father on top of the house help who she thinks they are of the same age. Therefore, the women in the stories have a similarity in that their stories do not end as they thought.
The role of women in the stories plays an important part in showing the place of the women in the story. In the Arab world, women do not have a voice in what ever it is done and they have to listen to hat the men are saying. Al-Uthman story the woman is playing the role of wife and mother. She feels so ashamed of what she was thinking when she remembers the tale of her son. In the next story by Al-Zayyat, the woman is also a wife and a mother. Lastly, in the story by Al-Saadawi, the young woman is a daughter to a man who cheats on the mother with the house help. Conclusion
In the Arab world, women are treated like commodities. They do not have a say in anything and they are there to please the men in whatever they want. After entering into the prayer area barefooted and having washed their feet, one of the congregation members (adhan) called everyone to prayer. After this, the Imam led the congregation in prayers and sermon giving. There were two parts of the sermon, the longer one and the shorter one. Everybody remained silent during all the sessions. During the prayer session, the people stood side by side and faced the direction of Mecca or qibla. However, I did not join in the prayers since I was not Muslim. The Muslims are the only people who are expected to take part in these prayers.
The services have a mix of both English and Arabic. For example, when the imam started and ended the sermons, he spoke in Arabic. After the prayers, people shook each other’s hand (especially the neighbor on the left and on the right) as a sign of asking god to accept their prayers. After everything was over, one could contribute at their own will by putting the contribution in a designated area. After everybody was out of the praying area, they could now talk to one another or strike a conversation. Those who needed to see the imam or other officials could now do so.
The Muslim and the Christian services are quite different in many ways. For example, there is no singing done during the Muslim services as compared to the Christian services where people praise and worship. In the Christian services, there is the use of instruments and other musical instruments. Another difference is that the imam is the centre of the service. In the parens patriae system, justice is not served as compared to the juvenile justice system. Additionally, children who are twelve years and above are able to think for themselves; therefore, rehabilitating them will be hard. This concept mostly refer to young people who are learning to live their lives in every moment a day begin. It focuses mostly the adolescents who need to concentrate and utilize their time well in the present in order to accomplish the routine or daily basis (Shirani and Henwood 2011). It also helped them to get a break from the hectic life and things that were not directly related to their sickness.
In conclusion, taking time to plan and do something in life is very vital in one’s life. Work cannot be accomplished if one cannot manage his or her time properly. Many people do not know the meaning of time planning. This is vital in ones’ life and in every day activities that people do because it acts as a way for achieving success in life. People need to make a clear time plan in order to avoid living other things unaccomplished. This is a wonderful concept because we learn from the experience. Our present determines what we experienced during the past and thus it is a road map for the successful future.             Reconstruction was the era from the years 1867 to 1878. It started immediately after the civil war in the south of the United States. The main goal of the reconstruction was to reunite the southern part with the union and to help build the southern states. At this period, the southern region was marred with a lot of violence where different groups like the kul klux Klan were trying to oppose the new rules imposed by the government. However, the different groups were unable to fight the reconstruction and a new law was put in the constitution known as the fourteenth amendment. It was drafted to give citizenship and protect the freedmen. Therefore, reconstruction fulfilled all its goals at that time until today.
The reconstruction fulfilled all its goals because there was unification and development of the southern states. This unification and development of the southern states was brought about by the achievement of other goals. One of the goals was political unification. In the past, there was a lot of hatred where the different blacks were not allowed to take public offices or even vote in the elections. However, after the review of the different laws in the era of reconstruction, the blacks were allowed to vote in the elections (Slap 89). Additionally, the blacks were allowed to contest for public office in the different states in America. Despite the different groups trying to oppose these laws, the political unification goals were fulfilled because the blacks or the different slaves were now actively involved in politics bringing.
Another goal that was being brought by reconstruction in this era was social unification. In the past, the blacks were being mistreated and they were considered not to have any rights. This meant that the black people were socially neglected therefore there was no social unification. After the era of reconstruction, the goal of unification was achieved because the blacks were given equal rights as the whites and the first public school was created around this time (Budiansky 23). This meant that the reconstruction had achieved the goal of unification despite the many hindrances that it faced at that time.
Physical unification was another goal of the reconstruction, which was achieved during this time. The black people or the slaves were not allowed to move freely in the past since there were areas, which were only set for them. Additionally, the whites could not move to those areas where the blacks were allowed to go because they did not want to mix with them. This made the physical movement of people to be limited thus there was no physical unification at that time. However, after the reconstruction, the blacks or the freedmen attained the freedom of movement and they could move anywhere they wanted. In order to do so, they were protected; therefore, they could move anywhere without the fear of being attacked by anybody. It is because of this that the goal physical unification was achieved by reconstruction.
The main goal of reconstruction was to offer the freed slaves with citizenship, rights and privileges like the whites. This is because before, they used to be in captivity of their master and it is their master who decided the different rights and privileges they had. Additionally, they did not have any citizenship; therefore, they did not have any right or privileges like the whites who had citizenship. After the reconstruction, the goal of citizenship, rights and privileges was achieved because the freedmen had same rights and privileges as compared to their fellow citizens. They were now able to exercise their right of voting and the right to take public office. For this reason, the goal of citizenship, rights and privileges was achieved.
In order for unification to take place, the goals of eradicating racism had to be achieved. In the past, racism was at its extreme where the blacks, being the minority, were not seen as people. They did not have schools to take their children because the whites thought the blacks could not be able to read. Additionally, they were being viewed as second-class people as they only got the remains of the whites. At that time, it was very difficult to attain unification but after reconstruction, racism was eradicated where the first public school was created and the blacks were given citizenship (Military Review, 2011). Although it was not instantly achieved, the goal of eradicating racism was initiated at this time. Therefore, its initiation was achieved.
Another main goal of reconstruction was equality among the different people. For unification to take place, people had to have equal rights. This meant that different slaves had to be freed and given citizenship so that there could be equality between them and the different whites. This was achieved because the different slaves were freed and they were offered citizenship, which meant that they had equal rights and privileges like the whites. This is because before, the slaves or the blacks did not have their rights like the right to vote but due to reconstruction, they had rights and privileges that were equal with the whites. Therefore, the goal of equality among the different citizens was achieved.

When I heard a worker saying to the new employee to take more time after breaks, my mind told me that these employees are lowly motivated, and are working just for the pay, and they have no concern for the performance of the organization. The best policy I intend to use in order to prevent this offence is a time sheet of when the employees enter work in morning, when they return in the afternoon and the time they leave. With this time sheet, I would say that failure to obey would result to serious consequences. In a small meeting to discuss the new policy, I would say that time will be checked, and any one who fails to follow time without any justifiable reason will be punished, but those who keep time and perform well will be rewarded.
The disciplinary measures I would take would include recovering for time lost by an employee who fails to resume work in time. With this punishment, I would ensure that employees who enter work late would compensate for the time they consumed, and ensure they work until the time lost is recovered. For the offence of not reaching the target made for a day, a warning of three times will be issued, after which if it happens again, a justification  will be needed, failure to which a probation from work will be issued. A worker who does not return to work on time after a break, will have to compensate through working for equal lost time after working hours are over, and close supervision will be there to ensure he follows the punishment.

In the case of Emily, considering she is a friend and not just a core worker, her welfare will be a priority for me, and I would confront her later after work, to discuss the issue. During summer, we use the trees to provide us with the shade or the cooling effect so that we can be able to protect ourselves from the heat.
