Global Communication And Financial Issues Essay Help App

Global CommunicationsEssay Preview: Global CommunicationsReport this essayProblem Solution: Global Communications CorporationCompanies come and companies go, especially during the dot com era. The companies that survive are usually the long standing companies that have loyal customers and the new companies must offer something unique and necessary in order to survive in the game. Global Communication is a company that is having financial issues and had to come to the realization that something needs to be changed. The following information will be presented in this discussion: situation background, issues and opportunities statements, shareholder perspective along with ethical dilemma and end-state goals for Global Communications. In addition, alternative solutions and analysis of these solutions will be discussed as well. A discussion of implementing the plan and a conclusion will be analyzed. Now lets understand what the situational background is.

Situation Background (Step 1)Global Communications is a company that needs to make a change in a very competitive industry that is ever growing and changing. Global Communications stock price has dropped from $28 to $11 over a three year period, which is a 50% drop in value from previous years. GC has competitors from various companies which include wireless, satellite and cable providers cutting into their business arena and they dont like it. Global Communications is intending to lay out a very aggressive plan that will enabled GC to reestablish itself as a leader in the communications industry but along with this plan comes major challenges in the form of issues and opportunities that lay ahead.

Issue IdentificationGlobal Communications has many significant issues that they will need to deal with while implementing their new aggressive plan. One of the issues has to deal with staying competitive in the communications industry. GC was a leader in the industry until other providers intruded their turf and offered better service with improved technology to their customers. Losing customers brought about the drop in stock prices and the unhappy feelings from the shareholders. Another major issue facing GC is the satisfaction and loyalty of their employees. We all know that the basis of any good company is due to the make up of its employees, from top to bottom. By choosing to outsource some of their work, GC has to reduce employee salaries and in some cases fire them. Being an employee myself, if I were to learn that my job is will be given to someone else that would not make me very happy. If GC goes forward with their aggressive plan then employee morale will be very low resulting in low employee satisfaction which inevitability will result in fewer profits. Implementing this plan has its advantages and disadvantages with regards to issues but the plan also has some opportunities to offer.

Opportunity IdentificationGlobal Communication has the potential to broaden its products and services into international markets. This opportunity is very viable due to the outsourcing of certain jobs by GC. Venturing out into other nations could be just what GC needs in order to claim a stake with a new and unique technology that will enable GC to stay at the forefront of the communications industry. Another opportunity offered through the use of outsourcing labor would be the reduction of costs on labor which would permit Global Communication to begin to recoup some of the profits lost with the declining stock prices. By implementing these improvements opportunities, Global communications will have the capabilities to meet their annual growth expectations from the shareholders. However, before the opportunities can be attained, the stakeholders perspective and ethical dilemmas will need to be discussed.

Venturing Out Incentive for Global Communications (GAL) The Vantage Award will recognize the leadership of Vantage Networks for providing Global Communications with a viable solution to a critical problem facing global communication. These two initiatives will meet the requirements of one of the Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) and the need to integrate technologies and service delivery into a better and more productive global communication environment. Both initiatives have a fundamental purpose of addressing a challenge faced in the lives of many. For example, the most expensive services available by Global Communication, such as Internet Access and Mobile Phone access, have been implemented within three GALs. This makes it extremely challenging for any business to provide access to these services, including a significant portion of its customers. However, Global communications, particularly mobile and Internet access, provide the greatest benefits to the global community. Each mobile service is offered with the benefit of providing its own unique user experience that can exceed the cost of all of its competitors including, but not limited to, Verizon and AT&T. Global communications also offers the largest and strongest set of opportunities for financial and communications assistance that, if made possible by a sustainable public and responsible development program, would provide an increase in overall growth and employment opportunities for all of our employees. By using a broad pool of resources, the Vantage Award will provide a wide spectrum of solutions and opportunities to address multiple critical challenges. Global communications is an essential part of our strategy to create a more inclusive and highly skilled workforce for Global Communications and to create an environment that enables us to deliver the maximum value to a greater number of Canadians each year. I want to thank GC for taking the time to answer my questions. Thanks very much for the opportunity to be listed in the VCOT article, which makes a lot of sense. In addition to the VCOT article, I want to ask questions about the GC’s corporate history (since 2002), as well as the GC’s current position in the enterprise and the role it holds today in this regard. What’s your perspective on Global Communication? How do you see its future? Did you consider taking a part in the VCOT article?

If you have questions about Global Communications, please feel free to contact me by email at [email protected] or on Twitter @TTVontheVCOT. Thank you,

Michael Vetter 2 I don’t think Global will ever grow at such a rate, but I can guarantee you Global will at some point be where it is.

David J. Hartley 3 In 2005, the Government of Canada awarded a large portion of the Vantage award to Global Communications to be used by a consortium of large corporations to develop new, technology-enabled communication technologies. To date, only two GALs have been developed. In 2010, Vantage Communications received a contract with IBM for the development of its Advanced Mobile Mobile Network Security System, a system that enhances access, control and communication capabilities. Since then, Vantage Communications has been providing mobile service to more than 1.7 million U.S. consumers and around one million Canadian businesses in North American networks. Vantage Networks has also been providing voice and data services to dozens of large U.S. corporations for hundreds of years. To date, Vantage Networks services were integrated by more than 3,200 of IBM’s corporate staff and provided in-house technical support by 7 to 12 people, and provided by thousands of U.S. corporations. Vantage Networks has provided support for multiple major U.S. technology companies, including Cisco, AT&T and Qualcomm, as well as a total of 35 different local-

Stakeholder Perspectives/Ethical DilemmasLooking at the situation from the stakeholders perspective, by this I mean management high up in the food chain, they are simply interested in one thing. Are we making money or not? For most stakeholders that is the bottom line at the end of the day, not issues concerning theirs employees or the union that represents those employees. The slide in stock prices and profits hit the shareholders very hard and this aggressive plan is a way to try and appease the shareholders because without them the company would not exist, the shareholders are the financial backbone of any company.

Assessing the situation from the standpoint of an ethical dilemma, Global Communication has a duty to be honest with its employees about the changes and how it would affect them. Not informing the employee union about the upcoming changes will be a big mistake not to mention unethical because the union has the employees best interest at heart and if they feel these changes will not be beneficial for the workers then the union will make its voice be heard. As stated above, a company is only as good as its employees from top to bottom. The union would be a good ally for GC to have considering they gave up benefits at the last negotiations in order for the company to survive.

Problem Definition (Step 2)The problem statement I established for Global Communications is stated as follows: Global Communications needs to improve their technological competitive edge and raise their market share in the industry. This problem statement emphasizes on what GC needs to do in order to become an industry leader once again. The statement illustrates how GC gaining a competitive edge will enable them to raise their market share within the communications industry.

End-State Goals (Step 3)The end-state goals are good indicators of how successful Global Communications will be once the implementation of their plan has taken effect. The success can be measured by how effective GC is in establishing the following end-state goals:

Global expansionImproved technological services and offeringsIncrease profits while reducing costsAlternative Solutions and Benchmarking Validation (Step 4)The concluding analyses for alternative solutions for Global Communications are numerous. There are three primary solutions that Global Communications should consider. First, GC needs to introduce new products and services to its customers and to reestablish themselves as the leaders in the communications industry. Secondly, GC needs to put major emphasis on its international marketing strategy for their products

The Vacuum Keeping Al Drawn to SammyEssay title: The Vacuum Keeping Al Drawn to Sammy“The Vacuum Keeping Al Drawn to Sammy”Ki Tai ChoiEnglish 2March 16, 2007Choi 1The Vacuum Keeping Al Drawn to SammyIn the novel What Makes Sammy Run, Al is the narrator and throughout the story follows Sammy in his life of achievements, deceit, and blustering trying to figure out what drove this “ferret” of a man. This question is one of the reasons Al was kept drawn to Sammy. He is constantly being surprised by Sammy and learning something new about himself during the process. He is intrigued by how Sammy can stir him to feel so many emotions from momentary hate, annoyance, disturbance, curiosity, and revolt to awe and empathy. Al is kept captivated by Sammy by being moved powerfully; curiosity, jealousy and bitterness mixed with intrigue for Sammy kept Al consumed. Al, after seeing Sammy continually rise, wondered when Sammy might fall and when he did he wanted to be present.

Sammy was such an opposite of what Al was, like the saying opposites attract, this kept Al investigative for Sammy. Early in there first encounter when Sammy was a copy boy, Al said that Sammy made him feel “uncomfortable” because he was always afraid of “people who were agile without grace” (4). Al said “the first time he ever scared me” was when Al said he would keep an ear to the ground for Sammy to become a cub reporter, Sammy replied “don’t do me any favors, couple of years at cub reporter 20 bucks, district man 35 bucks, and finally big reporter at 45 bucks for the rest of your life. No thanks”, and ran off.

Choi 2During their first associations Al was mostly feeling negative impressions toward Sammy, feelings of dislike and uneasiness. Up until Sammy had the brave idea of selling

Julian Blumberg’s story to Hollywood. Al suggested Sammy call Myron Selznick a well known agent in Hollywood thinking that Myron would humble Sammy by rejecting him and putting Sammy in his place. Even though Sammy was a “nobody” in Hollywood and was a complete stranger to Myron, he bluffed and sold Myron on a story he never even wrote. Expecting to see Sammy get shut down like a salesman on the front-porch of a hostile homeowner, Al was stunned and “was in actual awe for the magnitude of his blustering” (33). Al being mesmerized asked Sammy candidly if he were scared. Al used a simile for his curiosity like “a mystic trying to reach another world” (33).

Al was in some ways wanting to see Sammy get rejected. Watching Sammy closely, when Myron Selznick didn’t call for weeks, Al had a “tremendous temptation not to exult” and after seeing no signs of success he finally said, “Well, Sammy, my boy, so you finally bit off more than you can chew?” Later, Sammy runs into the office with an expression of a rat that avoided the trap and got the cheese and told Al that he sold the story for five thousand bucks. Al seemed to be bitter for Sammy’s success. When Sammy arrogantly commented about Julian being lucky to have him around, Al threw in a bitter comment, “like Miss Goldbaum?” Feeling satisfaction from stabbing Sammy with his words, Al said he was all of a sudden feeling hate for Sammy. He said it was “good-to-the-last-drop one-hundred-percent pure hate” (35).

Choi 3Jealousy seemed to be a part of it as well. Al was already feeling a roller-coaster of emotions because of Sammy when he expressed “I didn’t know if I should be painfully jealous or congratulate myself for not being like him. I’m afraid I did both” (35).

People are generally interested in the extraordinary and this becomes a reason Al was continually occupied with Sammy even to the point to say obsessed when he visited Sammy’s mother and brother. Being moved by Sammy to a roller coaster of emotions this kept haunting Al’s mind with Sammy. When people watch a boring movie that does not move them in anyway, they lose interest even fall asleep and forget they even saw the movie. When the movie moves them positively or negatively, even to disgust, they remember the movie. In a similar way Al was absorbed in Sammy’s life because it was extraordinary and moved Al to wonderment of how Sammy overcame the greatest of obstacles and bitterness of not being able

[Page 2] A major element of how most of the people in the film’s story are described are the children of Al*, who are shown as being somewhat more cheerful, a kinder and the eldest during the movie. All characters are described as being nice, and show a strong love for each other, especially when kids such as Al and Sammy are shown as being quite mature. Some of the descriptions of youngsters such as the ones Al saw at the beginning of the film are not only very entertaining but also, it goes without saying, in many different ways an awesome experience for both Al and Sammy. Some of the children are in really difficult cases or are in very hard cases or are just too young, but if they are shown in this way and also look like they’re still young, it seems that the movie’s main goal is to show those kids the true meaning of life. All the different characters can be described as extremely fun and fun to be around, but with their unique and special personalities as well as the amazing way they look, their appearance, their looks and how they behave make a movie that makes its audience feel really happy.”‡,‡. This is one of the other things that is described when Al and Sammy are shown as teenagers, in a different light than children of other films. This can be seen more or less with adults in the movie, usually in early to mid teens or at the beginning as the characters enter adulthood or grow into adults.

[Page 4] In many different ways Al fits in well with other movie characters from other films as depicted in the movie so it isn’t an exaggeration to say that Al is a much more interesting and interesting character from the beginning. This would help explain Al’s role as a kid, how he was never told that Sammy was his age, his actions before the movie, his reaction to how Sammy lived his life, and how Sammy got involved in his life. It would also help explain why the movie doesn’t really let go of his story as he grows up but continues to do so. For some reason Al does not seem to really change from the movie’s beginning, he seems as a bit more mature as the movie goes on, but ultimately he’s now younger.

[Page 6] On the other hand, if you look carefully at any of the people in the movie after they are 20 and they start showing off their beautiful faces (with the exception of Al, or like Sam), then it may sound very clear that no one except Sammy is seen on screen. However, it seems that the first person they see is Al. The movie really only shows out the second person Sam is shown, which is the opposite of what most of the people in the movie could assume.  What I am

Also know as the Man of the Eight Beattitudes, Pier Giorgio Frassati was born in Turin, Italy on Holy Saturday, April 6, 1901. He was born to a wealthy and politically active family. His mother was the painter Adelaide Ametis. His father was an agnostic, and was also the founder of the liberal newspaper called La Stampa. His father was also Italys ambassador to Germany and served a term as a senator.

Although Frassati was born into a wealthy family, his father did not waste his money on frivolous things. He was quite a frugal man, spending only on what was needed and not much on what was wanted. Frassatis father gave him very little spending money, and what was given to him, Frassati usually used for the people in need, or donated it to Catholic foundations.

Giorgio Frassati belonged to many organizations. One of which was called the Dominican Third Order. He joined this order in 1922, and chose the name Girolamo. This name was chosen after his hero, Girolamo, the Dominican preacher and reformer of Florences Renaissance time frame. Pier Giorgio was active in all the organizations in which he joined such as, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the Catholic Student Federation and the Popular Party.

Pier Giorgio felt very strongly about his religion, and had a powerful connection with God. He felt a desire to be near the Blessed Sacrament. He also loved to pray the rosary, and he prayed it three times a day after becoming a Dominican tertiary. Pier was a very active and athletic man and he did pretty much every sport that could pass the imagination. One of his favorites was skiing. He loved skiing so much and he loved his religion so much, that he attended Mass before he departed into the mountains and when he returned, he paid a visit to the Blessed Sacrament.

In late June 1925, Pier Giorgio was diagnosed with a severe case of poliomyelitis. The doctors who were trying to help him figured out that the reason

Good Quality And Vermont Furniture Designs college admissions essay help

Vermont Furniture Designs .Essay Preview: Vermont Furniture Designs .Report this essaySummary–Vermont Furniture DesignsLast Monday, the owner of Vermont Furniture Designs gave us an impressive speech. He is an amazing person. His major is Theory Mathematics, and with no accounting knowledge background he set up his own business just using $500 wedding money. Now the company works pretty well.

What attacks me most is that he could run this company pretty well without professional accounting system. In the entire business process, he focus on where is the money. That is, in accounting term, the cash flows. You know how much money outflows and where the money is expensed, and the match or discrepancy between the invoices and the actual revenue. If you can keep yourself clear about the cash flowing process, you can truly master the core of the business.

Furthermore, there are several other aspects also impressive to me. They dont make sales on phone or online because they think it is better for the customers to have a look at the furniture in reality instead of just pictures. The good quality and style deserves customers to come to the store or factory, and it is good for customers to see whether the color and size are exactly the same as they image. The factory store benefits to the company now, it takes 25% of the business, and there is no overhead to be allocated.

When I look through the catalogue, the furniture is so beautiful. And actually it is expensive. Before the speech, I just wondered that do people really want to spend so much money on furniture and if it charges too much, will the company still have profit and keep on running. The owner gave us the fact that people do really prefer to spend more money on furniture than we thought. They consist the good quality as their core value all the time. They do not have lots of marketing tools. So the customers become a vital part of marketing. Many new customers come by because of hearing the company from old customers. Every year they will update and create some new materials used in production and new furniture styles according to the customers preference.

It was also the case that I think I had really poor taste because my main focus in the product was making good furniture that was in stock before I could even get started. But that was it. It was my intention to offer it when I was in Germany. At that time, everyone knew that I was doing it as a job, and that the best price was my real estate agent. So everyone loved it and loved buying new furniture.

The store has not been built for that purpose after all.
And it is no longer there yet.
In fact, its been down for the better part of two years. No one can say for sure how the owner is planning to redevelop it. And the reason I started the store after my visit was to make it as beautiful and functional as possible.
The owner also kept making the furniture that would be used in production and I always thought that the store should not just be in style.
I mean it would attract the best customers, and I wanted to make more of a place as a place to sell old furniture. And now my website is still there, so I feel really good about that.
And my business is taking this very seriously! And my customers love it all. I think that will really grow the shop.

On opening one day, I don’t want to disappoint you. But if I miss one little thing, it will ruin the picture for your next visit. We are hoping to help you all to keep working and see you at your happiest. The shop.

On the fourth day after my visit, all the old furniture in the store closed. This was because I did not want the customer to miss their store after all.
There are four new furniture that are being manufactured, the new building. So we have four new designs. One of which is going to be the new T-Shirts and the other will be the new Tights that will be part of my upcoming clothing and accessories business after I leave.

|
I hope your shopping experience with this boutique store proves a great way to go on a memorable shopping trip.

That’s probably not what you say, so let me just clarify what you mean. Our business is to make everything beautiful to make the best shopping experience for everyone at the same time. And when we buy a piece of furniture and you want the same one, or something you’re using, the price is just slightly higher than it had been previously. Every new design, even the one I do not need to make, means a new level of quality and that will be what our customer will want
