Management Question

Part 1
Chapter 2. Strategic Leadership: Managing the Strategy Process
Initial Postings: Read and reflect on the assigned readings for the week. Then post what you thought was the most important concept(s), method(s), term(s), and/or any other thing that you felt was worthy of your understanding in each assigned textbook chapter.Your initial post should be based upon the assigned reading for the week, so the textbook should be a source listed in your reference section and cited within the body of the text. Other sources are not required but feel free to use them if they aid in your discussion.
Also, provide a graduate-level response to each of the following questions:
The “job to do” approach discussed with the Clayton Christensen milkshake example can be useful in a variety of settings. Even when we are the customers ourselves, sometimes we don’t look for better solutions because we get into routines and habits. Think about a situation you sometimes find frustrating in your own life or one you hear others complaining about frequently. Instead of focusing on the annoyance, can you take a step back and look for the real job that needed doing when the frustration occurred? What other options can be developed to “do the job” that may lead to less irritation in these situations?
[Your post must be substantive and demonstrate insight gained from the course material. Postings must be in the student’s own words – do not provide quotes!]
[Your initial post should be at least 450 words and in APA format (including Times New Roman with font size 12 and double spaced). Post the actual body of your paper in the discussion thread then attach a Word version of the paper for APA review]
Part 2
The chapter discusses several strategic leadership issues at Facebook. Several other firms are also noted in the chapter with some positive and some negative leadership results. Choose a firm mentioned in the chapter and discuss current controversial issues it faces. How should strategic leaders address the major issues you identified? In what situations is top-down planning likely to be superior to bottom-up emergent strategy development?
The assignment is to answer the question provided above in essay form. This is to be in narrative form. Bullet points should not to be used. The paper should be at least 1.5 – 2 pages in length, Times New Roman 12-pt font, double-spaced, 1 inch margins and utilizing at least one outside scholarly or professional source related to organizational behavior. APA formatting and citation should be used.

Management Question

Numerical Reasoning Assignment
Please solve the following three numerical problems listed below:
Please show all the steps and calculations in arriving at the numerical portions of your answer.
Q1. Freeport Credit Union currently has one outside drive-up teller. It takes the teller an average of four minutes (exponentially distributed) to serve a bank customer. Customers arrive at the drive-up window at the rate of 12 per hour (poisson distributed). The bank operations officer is currently analyzing the possibility of adding a second drive-up window at an annual cost of $20,000. It is assumed that arriving cars would be equally divided between both windows. The operations officer estimates that each minute’s reduction in customer waiting time would increase the bank’s revenue by $2,000 annually.
Is it cost effective to install a second drive-up window? (Show calculations to support your answer.)
What other factors should be considered in the decision besides cost?
Q2. Collari Quarry is trying to decide whether to invest in a new material-handling system. The current system (called System 0) is old and completely paid for, and has an annual maintenance (fixed) cost of $10,000 and costs approximately $25 to transport each load of material. The two new systems, System 1 and System 2, that are being considered vary both in sophistication and cost. System 1 has a fixed cost of $40,000 and a cost per load estimated at $15. System 2 has a fixed cost of $100,000 but a per-load cost of $5.
At what volume of demand (i.e., number of loads) should Collari purchase System 1 (show calculations)?
At what volume of demand should Collari purchase System 2 (show calculations)?
Q3. SJSU College of Business wants to forecast the number of students who will enroll in operations management courses next semester in order to determine how many sections to schedule. Enrollment data for the past eight semesters is provided below:

Compute the exponentially smoothed forecast (? = 0.25) for the enrollment data.
Compare the two forecasts using MAD and indicate the most accurate.

Management Assignment Help For Chapter 1, answer the questions below. For Chapter 2: Answer the questions at the start of the chapter (5 questions, page 27– listed below). These are broad questions that will help summarize the reading, and can include your opinion but should be at least 100 words (50 words per chapter, or 1-3 sentences for each question). Each chapter is worth 25 points and includes the expectation for you to reply to 2 classmate’s posts, also by same due date. Replies to classmates should be 50 words or more, and not just that you like or agree with what they wrote, but more specifically what you agree or disagree with and why, sharing additional information or perspective, such as examples, opinions or other research (citations expected) and proving that you have read their post by addressing specifically what they have written (and not the same reply to both classmates– these are specific to their post).

Discussion: Logistic EfficiencyGiven the complex interplay between incentive program designs, provider characteristics, and other external factors, evaluations of VBP programs need to consider an array of factors that potentially contribute to observed effects.
—Damberg et al., 2014
