Participate in a discussion regarding the article “Making Process Improvements Stick” by Matthias Holweg, Bradley R. Staats, and David M. Upton. This article discusses why it is challenging for organizations to sustain process improvement efforts.

For this group discussion, read the article and provide insight that will add value to the topics it addresses. For example, you may wish to provide additional information related to other topics addressed (e.g., more recent but highly relevant information, more relevant examples, etc.). You should provide justification for your arguments by detailing your experiences or those that have been recently published (e.g., peer reviewed articles, magazine stories, or newspaper accounts).

Your task is to complete the “Car” object with the right data that has been given to you
An example will already be given to you…
The below screenshot was the code I was given to complete….I’m using a browser to make my attempts but every submission has failed….this was my last attempt….

Participate in a discussion regarding the case study “Decoding the DNA of the Toyota Production System” by Steven Spear

Participate in a discussion regarding the case study “Decoding the DNA of the Toyota Production System” by Steven Spear and H. Kent Bowen. This HBR article discusses the unspoken rules that gives Toyota its competitive edge.

Choose a manufacturing or service process with which you are familiar. This process could be associated with any job you have held. Describe the process in detail. Discuss how any of the four rules that underlies the Toyota Production System could be applied to improve this process. Be very detailed on the implementation of the rule that you chose. In your response to another student, make constructive recommendations on how to improve their idea.

Writing Assignment Help Participate in a discussion regarding the article “Robust Services: People or Processes” by Elliott N. Weiss and Rebecca Goldberg. This article discusses how robust people and robust processes within a system can inform each other and lead to continuous improvement.

For this discussion please choose one of the following: (1) Choose two service process with which you are familiar and which falls in Quadrant 1 (high-touch service, customization) in Figure 2 of the paper. Discuss in detail how these processes can be transferred from Quadrant 1 to Quadrant 4 (robust processes with low external variability). In your response to another student, make constructive recommendations on how to improve their idea. (2) Pick two service processes and explain in detail the importance of having robust people or robust processes in this particular process. In your response to another student, make constructive recommendations on how to improve their idea.

peer response

please respond to the two peers to the following question:
Select Your Organization and Frame the Problem/Opportunity
Building on the sector and focus area you identified in your Week 1 discussion post, select a specific organization for your Capstone Project. This can be a publicly-traded company, a private company, a governmental agency, or a non-profit.
To prepare for your DQ post:
Research the organization via media searches, annual reports, and the organization’s website. Look for a problem/opportunity that you can analyze through data. Your problem/opportunity must fit into the focus area identified in your Week 1 DQ post. This could be a new product or service, an operational change that would result in significant cost reductions and/or quality or margin improvements, or a major branding or marketing initiative.
In your post:
What is the critical problem/opportunity you will focus on? Why have you identified this particular problem/opportunity?
What sort of data should you gather and analyze to accurately assess the problem or opportunity? Is it sales data, demographic data, product performance data, or another type of data?
Explain why this type of data is needed for this particular problem or opportunity.
How will you obtain the necessary data?

COLLAPSE
Greetings to All,
Research the organization via media searches, annual reports, and the organization’s website.
I will focus on creating 3 to 5 entirely plant-based menu options for the restaurant chain. I have identified this opportunity via social media channels such as Instagram and Facebook. Several Vegan Community social media groups such as Plant-based for Beginners, Vv Spot, Broke Vegan, and Vegan World have expressed interest. They are frankly crying out for a restaurant that offers a plant-based breakfast.
The MFA (Mercy for Animals) association even started a “Champions of Breakfast” campaign where they solicit and encourage restaurants to add vegan plant-based breakfast to their menus. In a VegNews article, MFA stated, “We envision a world where vegans can walk in any restaurant and find delicious plant-based breakfast options.1
What sort of data should you gather and analyze to accurately assess the problem or opportunity? Is it data, demographic data, product performance data, or another type of data?

I will need to gather demographic, product, and sales data to assess this opportunity accurately. Demographics will need to include plant-based eater population percentage by location, age, and income status. Product data will need to show which plant-based products are most popular. Finally, sales data will need to include market share percentages by sales. Each data set will be thoroughly explored, explained, and used to inspire others to buy.2
Explain why this type of data is needed for this particular problem or opportunity.

Demographic, product, and sales data are all essential elements needed to properly conclude whether or not the benefits associated with this new product offering outweigh its risk.
How will you obtain the necessary data? The essential data will be accepted via customer surveys, third-party research, and business intelligence software.3

Dr Anderson and Classmates:
Select Your Organization and Frame the Problem/Opportunity
What is the critical problem/opportunity you will focus on? Why have you identified this particular problem/opportunity?

The critical problem and opportunity I will be presenting on is damage assessment. Outages in the United States indicate frequency has increased by 125% in the last 15 years. Two-thirds of outages are caused by weather with remaining causes related to vegetation, animals, overloads, humans and equipment failures. The average amount of total time per year individual customers are without power is 240 minutes. This ranges from 2 to 8 times the duration compared to underground European networks. While customer reports have drastically increased with use of smart meters, hand held devices and applications the pandemic has opened for a community based reporting with the cellular phone. Investment in IT solutions and infrastructure have not kept up with the increasing outage frequency.
Similar to the Public Safety forum there is a need for more proactive customer communication. Customer expectation have changed and now they want to know details of events impacting their service in near real-time. Utilities are realizing that their customers are asking form more web-based self-service application and access to account restoration online. Social media, smart hand held devices, advanced outage solutions, voice callbacks are all tools that can be deployed in a Damage Assessment application.
Explain why this type of data is needed for this particular problem or opportunity.
In the end, the goal is still to repair the damage while now it is equally important to properly communicate the progress and manage the customer expectations throughout the process. Moving beyond simply providing historical restoration times to next generation functionality. Being able to alert dispatchers before restore times expire with options to manually or auto extend will significantly provide a level of customer service for the community. Business logic and data should be in place to determine when a customer is notified for updates. The damage assessment application will provide a hand held application to improve the ROI to estimated restoration times, savings with on-site crews and inventory and improve historical restorations times. With improve restoration times customers can be assured they selected the right choice for power.

How will you obtain the necessary data?
Baseline restoration times can be established for a metropolitan city such as the surrounding Dallas, Texas area. A ROI calculation will be provided to show the financial advantages of implementing the damage assessment software. To provide efficient data collections and timely analysis while minimizing crews after a storm, enables an optimal use of resources. The solution consists of mobile application along with the digestion of imagery photos from the community.
