1. US Congressman/Women
2. US Senator
Dear Congressman/Senator/
I am one of the founders of the “Students for Social Justice and Reparation” here at Tennessee State
University. This organization has been charged to campaign nationwide and get the support of the US
Congress as well as the 2020 Presidential candidates. The TSU Model for “Reparation” did an extensive
survey and research here in Nashville, Tennessee State University, since the 1990’s and produced two
books detailing on how “Reparation” can be calculated for 250 year free service and another 100 year
discrimination, Jim Crow and segregation. The “Social Accounting Matrix” used precise method and
identified several variables to calculate wages and services rendered by African American since the
1660’s and came up with approximate projected values; this include building the nation’s infrastructure
such as bridges, high ways, buildings for government accommodations and corporate offices,
Universities and hospitals; the whole social and economic infrastructure, including the United State
Congress were built by free labor and no one claim to be free from participating the benefit of these
free labor. It is, therefore, our moral and legal obligation to pay “Reparation” and redeem ourselves
from centuries old guilt. The projected face value of “Reparation” is $5.6. Trillion and payable in one
hundred year. Out of this projected value, the proposal estimated an annual budget of $44.5 Billion for
Education, Health Care, and Affordable Housing. We believe this budget will eliminate poverty and
crimes from the inner city across the nation and within 25 year the stated objective will be met.
I am attaching the document for you to examine and see its merit and support “Reparation” and its
stated objective. The annual budget is less than 1% of the projected value and its dividend is more than
the social cost to keep the status qou. We believe that “Reparation” will make the nation a kinder,
gentler, and more prosperous than ever before. Thank you for taking your time to see the merit of the
proposed “Reparation in Memory of George Flyd.” Hope to hear from you.

Please rewrite these paragraphs
1) Hem turned his fear into anger because some essay help freePlease rewrite these paragraphs
1) Hem turned his fear into anger because sometimes it
is easier to get overcome with emotions than to make necessary changes to
better oneself. In this story, cheese is a representation of what we want in
life. It could be a “job, relationship, money, freedom, or health” whatever we
are creating goals for and what makes us happy. Unfortunately, in life we often
follow a routine for a long time and sometimes the routine doesn’t work anymore
or help us grow in life so we have to step out of our comfort zones. A perfect
example would be the Charles Jones story where he was given a task completely
different from his routine and what he was used to instead of being overcome by
frustration. Jones looked at the pros of the situation and took it as an
opportunity to learn and grow. With that mindset, new doors of opportunity
opened up for him. In this story, both Hem and Haw became arrogant and believed
that the cheese would always be unlimited and always available if they followed
the same routine but unfortunately, that wasn’t the cause. Although Sniff and
Scurry quickly adapted to the change Hem and Haw did not because they were stuck
on stationery. Because there wasn’t an immediate solution, the fear of not
having access to cheese anymore turned into frustration then anger.
Haw said that “sometimes, things change and they are never
the same again. This looks like one of those times, Hem. That’s life, Life
moves on. And so should we” (Johnson, 2007). I agree with this statement
because in life if we just mope about things not going the way we want then
life will continue to go on while we stay hindered by that mindset. The only
solution is trying to adapt to changes to be able to get new opportunities if
the old ones are no longer available. Hem is scared of change and of taking
risks, which is why he’s not finding the cheese he desires. If he does what Haw
suggests then maybe, he will find what he’s looking for someplace else.
2) I believe that the quote “If you do not change, you
can become extinct” means that a person must adapt to change to be able to
thrive if not life will continue to go on while that person will lose out on
chances to grow and for future opportunities. This quote makes sense to
me and the way I personally view this statement is that I need to make sure I’m
constantly updating myself with the changes that are happening. If not, I’d be
lost in the sauce.
3) The quote “Noticing small changes early helps you adapt
to the bigger changes that are to come” means to me that being open to
changes early on will help me to be welcoming to even bigger changes in the
future. This means that I will be more receptive to these changes, and being
able to embrace them early will allow me to not feel trapped, but to thrive in
any new or different situation I’m in.

Animal research is a necessary practice in the world of medical research, allowi essay help site:eduAnimal research is a necessary practice in the world of medical research, allowing scientists to develop life-saving interventions and to spot catastrophic problems before new techniques or products make their way to actual patients. However, this does not mean that we should deny that there are serious ethical issues involved.
Animal testing is not a pretty or pleasant process. It causes pain and suffering to animal subjects, and legitimate cases of abuse have been uncovered by animal rights groups. Consequently, the practice should be tightly regulated, and alternative methods should be employed whenever possible.
Discuss a specific research study involving animals that had ethical issues.
What were the ethical issues involved?
What could have been done to conduct the research study differently to avoid these ethical issues?
Which ethical theorist (the person with the idea) said that animals needed to be included in his theory as they suffer, too?

Paragraph
Some studies estimate
that approximately 40 million Americans, or about 20 percent of the population,
are attempting to restrict their intake of food high in carbohydrates (Sanders and Katz, 2004; Hirsch,
2004). Proponents
of low-carb diets say they are not only the effective way to lose weight, but
they also yield health benefits such as lower blood pressure and improved
cholesterol levels. Meanwhile, some doctors
claim that low-carb diets are overrated and caution that their long-term
effects are unknown. Although following a low-carbohydrate diet can
benefit some people, research suggests that
these diets are not necessarily the best option for everyone who wants to lose
weight or improve their health.
Sample Closing
Paragraph
While 20 percent of
Americans are reducing their intake of carbohydrates, such diets have been not
been proven to be the best option for everyone who wants to lose weight or
improve their health. While QRS found in her
2009 study that a vast majority of study participants claimed to feel better on
low-carb diets, doctors have concerns about the long-term effects of these
diets (XYZ, 2007), and, according to ABC (2010), up to 50 percent of people on
low-carb diets lost no weight, even after 6 months of being on the diet. Perceptions of dieters may be positive, but scientific results
have yet to indicate any actual benefits of being on a low-carbohydrate diet.

I realize this is a hot button topic as it relates to law enforcement use of for essay helpI realize this is a hot button topic as it relates to law enforcement use of force and Black Lives Matter, and can raise the blood pressure a bit. However, my goal is to get you thinking about current issues, and to connect the class work to the real world. Please, please, please keep the discussion rules about civility and respect in mind.
Many states have laws preventing the prosecution from releasing personnel records of officers, even if those officers have a history of misrepresenting the truth, excessive force complaints, or other complaints about their policing. Other states don’t allow the prosecution to even access to those records so the prosecution doesn’t even know about officers who might have serious problems and might endanger the case. Some have started calling for changes to these laws, citing a defendant’s right to know and be able to effectively challenge the officer witness’s credibility, especially since non-law enforcement citizens enjoy no such protections. Usually, community members who are aware of a non – law enforcement witness’s reputation for honesty or other character traits can be called to support or challenge a witness’s testimony. Officers, however, are shielded from this same scrutiny because their employment records are sealed.
Questions for discussion:
Explain whether you believe a law enforcement officer’s personnel record should be available during a criminal prosecution or not.
If an average citizen’s reputation for honesty or other character traits can be used against them during their testimony, determine if it is a due process violation to shield a law enforcement officer from similar scrutiny.
If the records are available during a court case, decide whether you feel the prosecution, the defense, or the judge should have access first. Explain your reasoning.
Explain what factors a judge should consider when deciding whether to release the record to the other parties.
Explain whether the process of evaluating an officer’s record and deciding whether it is relevant to a case should be judicially created or should the legislature step in. Consider the risk of patchwork protections if each state were allowed to decide their own rules or if it would be better for the courts to work through judicial review to decide on a nationwide procedure.
If the personnel record is not available, explain how society should account for officers who lie about investigations, use of force, evidence, etc. Who should bear that burden – the innocent defendant or the communities the officers police?

Note: This Motivational Interview Assignment forms the foundation of the Role Pl online essay helpNote: This Motivational Interview Assignment forms the foundation of the Role Play Exercise Assignment.
In this assignment you will create a client profile and an imaginary, yet realistic, MI Transcript between the client and a skilled counsellor.
(In the next assignment, you will use this client profile and transcript to role-play an MI client session.)
Due Date: July 7/22
Step 1
Write a character description for an imaginary client who is engaged in counselling for a specific behaviour related to addiction and mental health. Make the character as real as possible. It may be helpful to use a screening/assessment tool (i.e. VI-SPDAT) to remind yourself of the details that would be important for a counsellor to know about a client. Be sure to identify a) the ‘unwanted’ behaviour that has led them to counselling and b) the stage of change they are at based on previous (imaginary) sessions with the counsellor.
The character description can be written in point form or detailed paragraphs or a mix of both. The style of writing is not the focus. The details are the focus. You want the reader to ‘know’ who this client character is, in the same way you want an actor to know and understand the character to be played in a film. Maximum 1 page.
Step 2
Write a script for an imaginary therapy session between this client and a skilled counsellor who is using Motivational Interviewing Techniques. The script should be 2 pages.
Use the format of a play, indicating speakers, exact words spoken, and any relevant non-verbal behaviours.
Here’s an example:
Thera Pist (Counsellor): You mentioned you were having trouble sleeping. Tell me more about that.
Cly Int (Client): I don’t know what it is. I’m exhausted but when I go to bed at night, I can’t fall sleep.
Thera: You’re saying you lay awake in bed at night.
Cly: Yes, I lay there thinking about all the people who used to be my friends.
Thera Pist: (Continues to make eye contact with Cly, saying nothing)
Cly: I lay there wondering what they think of me and how I will never see them again.
Thera Pist: It sounds like their opinion of you is important to you.
The client’s language and behaviour should be consistent with the stage of change you have identified in the character profile.
The counsellor should exemplify skilled MI techniques, cultivating change talk, using reflective listening and evocative questioning.
Once you have completed the transcript, go back and colour code it to reflect the counsellor’s use of OARS. Highlight each of the following in a different colour: Open questions, affirmation, reflective listening, and summary reflections (OARS).
It may be helpful to read the Role Play Exercise Assignment prior to completing this assignment, so that you are aware of how this assignment will be used in that role play.
