survey and research here in Nashville, Tennessee State University, since the 1990’s and produced two
books detailing on how “Reparation” can be calculated for 250 year free service and another 100 year
discrimination, Jim Crow and segregation. The “Social Accounting Matrix” used precise method and
identified several variables to calculate wages and services rendered by African American since the
1660’s and came up with approximate projected values; this include building the nation’s infrastructure
such as bridges, high ways, buildings for government accommodations and corporate offices,
Universities and hospitals; the whole social and economic infrastructure, including the United State
Congress were built by free labor and no one claim to be free from participating the benefit of these
free labor. It is, therefore, our moral and legal obligation to pay “Reparation” and redeem ourselves
from centuries old guilt. The projected face value of “Reparation” is $5.6. Trillion and payable in one
hundred year. Out of this projected value, the proposal estimated an annual budget of $44.5 Billion for
Education, Health Care, and Affordable Housing. We believe this budget will eliminate poverty and
crimes from the inner city across the nation and within 25 year the stated objective will be met.

me and the way I personally view this statement is that I need to make sure I’m

Some have started calling for changes to these laws, citing a defendant’s right to know and be able to effectively challenge the officer witness’s credibility, especially since non-law enforcement citizens enjoy no such protections. Usually, community members who are aware of a non – law enforcement witness’s reputation for honesty or other character traits can be called to support or challenge a witness’s testimony. Officers, however, are shielded from this same scrutiny because their employment records are sealed.
Questions for discussion:
Explain whether you believe a law enforcement officer’s personnel record should be available during a criminal prosecution or not.
If an average citizen’s reputation for honesty or other character traits can be used against them during their testimony, determine if it is a due process violation to shield a law enforcement officer from similar scrutiny.
If the records are available during a court case, decide whether you feel the prosecution, the defense, or the judge should have access first. Explain your reasoning.

You want the reader to ‘know’ who this client character is, in the same way you want an actor to know and understand the character to be played in a film. Maximum 1 page.
Step 2
Write a script for an imaginary therapy session between this client and a skilled counsellor who is using Motivational Interviewing Techniques. The script should be 2 pages.
Use the format of a play, indicating speakers, exact words spoken, and any relevant non-verbal behaviours.
Here’s an example:
Thera Pist (Counsellor): You mentioned you were having trouble sleeping. Tell me more about that.
Cly Int (Client): I don’t know what it is. I’m exhausted but when I go to bed at night, I can’t fall sleep.
Thera: You’re saying you lay awake in bed at night.
Cly: Yes, I lay there thinking about all the people who used to be my friends.
Thera Pist: (Continues to make eye contact with Cly, saying nothing)
Cly: I lay there wondering what they think of me and how I will never see them again.
Thera Pist: It sounds like their opinion of you is important to you.
The client’s language and behaviour should be consistent with the stage of change you have identified in the character profile.
The counsellor should exemplify skilled MI techniques, cultivating change talk, using reflective listening and evocative questioning.
Once you have completed the transcript, go back and colour code it to reflect the counsellor’s use of OARS. Highlight each of the following in a different colour: Open questions, affirmation, reflective listening, and summary reflections (OARS).
