In my business, we sell products to a customer that makes heavy use of forecasting to make decisions about order quantities, among other things. The make/hold quantity and the associated pricing to make that quantity are based on the annual expected usage using forecasting reports. For example, the price per thousand parts is rather high when the quantity is only 1,000; compared to a lower price per thousand if the expected annual usage is 100,000. Therefore, the customer makes good use of these reports to save money in the long run. What are your experiences with forecasting?

Statistics Question

NotesRead a quantitative paper(bivariate regression) and summarise(250words):What methods does the paper use? What are the findings of the paper? What might you have done differently if you were doing this paper? What didn’t you understand / what flummoxed you?Did you like the paper, and why?
I have attached an article to use (
It is a multivariate regression paper but still comfortable for me)

Statistics Assignment Help (30 points) Problem (Exercise) 1, page 250, from your textbook.
(20 points). Problem (Exercise) 3, page 319, from your textbook.
(50 points) ****Two of the nurses (Mary and Jane) from the textbook example Riverview Clinic Urgent Care Staffing Using Linear Programming (pages 326-330) have decided to work part-time rather than full-time. They would like to work only two consecutive days per week. Because they would be part-time employees, salary, and benefits per nurse-day for these nurses would be reduced to $160 on weekdays and $220 on weekend days. Riverview could hire an additional full-time nurse if needed. Set up the problem in Excel to reflect the possibility of allowing these two nurses to work part-time.
Using Excel Solver, determine how many nurses should be assigned to each possible schedule. Riverview’s goal is still to minimize weekly salary expenses.
Should Riverview agree with Mary and Jane’s request to work part-time? Why?
Should Riverview hire an additional full-time nurse? Why?
Assuming that part-time nurses and any new hire will accept any schedule and preferences (and preferences scores) for the remainder of the nurses are the same (as in the textbook example), what new schedule would you recommend for each nurse? You should use Excel Solver to answer this question.

For part a., you only have to construct an X-bar chart using the standard deviation of the observations to estimate the population standard deviation and calculate the control limits. Parts b., c., and d. are the same as in the textbook.
You have to submit the Excel file with the problem setup, and you should also create an “Answers” sheet (within the same excel file) for the answers to the questions asked in the problem.
This problem has five questions, and you should submit for grading the answers to those five questions and the methods you used to get the solutions.

You have to submit the Excel file with the problem so that I can check your setup for the problem and the Solver. Please make sure you have two different Excel sheets for parts a. and e., as Excel only allows one Solver per sheet. You should also create an “Answers” sheet (within the same excel file) for the answers to the questions asked in the problem.
****Given that this problem is a continuation of the textbook example (pages 326-330), make sure you read the textbook before you start working on the homework problem.

PLEASE NOTE:
YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME MUST BE AT THE TOP OF YOUR DOCUMENT AND
THE WORK MUST BE IN YOUR HANDWRITING (that I see on your homework assignments).
Members of a certain college
statistics class were selected, and asked to indicate how many hours
during the previous month they had spent reading (for pleasure, not
school work). The data are as follows:
25, 25, 24, 26, 23, 23, 22, 25, 24, 22, 23, 24, 26
On a piece of paper, CREATE A FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTION (per the instructions you learned in class).
(4 points)
____
For the data presented in the frequency distribution you just created, CREATE A FREQUENCY POLYGON (per the instructions you learned in class) on a piece of GRAPH PAPER.
(5 points)
______
A researcher surveyed respondents
regarding pet ownership, determining whether they were a pet owner or
not a pet owner. The results are as follows (“P” represents a pet owner
and “NP” represents someone with no pets):
P, P, NP, P, P, P, NP, NP, NP, NP, P, P, P, P, P, P, NP, P, NP, P, P, NP, NP, P, NP, P, P, P
Create a Frequency Distribution and include a column for relative frequency (%) — (per the instructions you learned in class).
Create the frequency distribution with the relative frequency (%) column on your own paper (you do NOT need to show your calculations, and definitely do NOT show you calculations within your final product).
(5 points)
_______
Calculate the range and the mean for the following set of scores. Also, use the deviation method to calculate the deviation scores, the variance and standard deviation. SHOW all your work, round to two decimal places. State the symbol for each.
Scores: 6, 9, 10, 15
Remember to show all your work (for the deviation method) and remember to show the chart like we learned to do in class!)
After you show the CHART and SHOW ALL YOUR WORK, then state the following:
4a. Range Answer _________ Range Symbol ____
4b. Mean Answer_________
4c. Variance Answer __________ Variance Symbol ____
4d. Standard Deviation Answer ______________ Standard Deviation Symbol ____
(6 points)
After you have worked these four questions, turn all your work into ONE PDF, just as you do for homework assignments, and upload the pdf here.
