The appropriate discount rate for the incremental cash flows is 11 percent. Penn is trying to decide whether it should offer 35 percent of its stock or €37 million in cash to Teller’s shareholders.

b. What is the NPV of each alternative?

c. Which alternative should Penn choose?

Organism from one of the Phyla essay help service

Select a product in the selected country (South Africa) you believe your firm can market. List the sources of information you will use for each screening.

Choose any organism from one of the Phyla (animal, plant, fungus, bacteria) that we studied or will study in class. List the common and scientific names.

List its complete taxonomy from Domain to Species. Cite your source. Do not use Wikipedia.

Briefly describe the characteristics of your organism.

Describe the life cycle of the organism.

Summarize a peer-reviewed scientific journal article presenting research that focuses on your chosen species. The article must be a primary research article for credit to be awarded. Provide a link to the article in your references.

Keep this assignment to a maximum of two pages and use the following stipulations:

Times New Roman Font

12 point font

1 inch margins (top, bottom, sides)

Double spaced

“I’ve glanced through some of the early paper submissions. I’m seeing the same mistakes I usually see.

Things to note:

How do you write a species name? It’s in the rubric, so make sure you get it right!

The main part of this assignment is reporting back on the research article that you chose, so spend a very small amount of your paper with taxonomy and the general background. The majority should be on the article itself. Fill up those two pages!

The rubric shows that I count off for anything over 2 pages, but in reality I don’t. But, if I don’t give you a page limit, there are some students who will write 10 pages. What I will count off on is if you don’t write enough to cover the assignment. Do a good job, and you will be rewarded.”

“I can’t remember who was at my live video session when I discussed the article, so forgive me if you’ve already heard this.

The paper that you write should have the taxonomy and a small amount of background information including a life cycle (if appropriate), habitat, predators or prey, etc. But, the majority of your paper should be about the research article.

Some of you failed to turn in a research article and/or turned in something that wasn’t a research article. If this applies to you, you won’t get the 25% of the paper grade for identifying a research article, but I’m still grading your ability to find one if you look at the paper rubric (found in the assignment folder). For those of you who did submit a research article, now that you’ve identified one, you can change your mind and use a different one if you prefer, so long as it’s in your references with a link.

And remember, do not quote your source. Paraphrase and cite your source. I provided some silly examples in the live session.

Something like:

I just read an article about carbon capture and volcanic rock that’s spread on a farm.

If the article says:

“Spreading of crushed volcanic rock sequesters 0.3% of emitted carbon dioxide over a 3 week period when compared to a control” (Calvin and Hobbs 2020).

That would be fine in a literature class. But, when scientists write papers, they generally do not quote. Instead, they paraphrase and cite.

Researchers in Ireland found that the distribution of volcanic rock helped to decrease carbon dioxide levels by 0.3% (Calvin and Hobbs 2020).

That’s how you paraphrase.”

Dynamics of Human Service Program Management

Individuals who enter into a human service area of practice often start from an altruistic perspective and a desire to help a particular population. Getting into the field and discovering value incongruence and the high level of bureaucratic demands—regardless of whether the organization is a government, nonprofit, or for-profit human service organization—can result in disillusionment or departure from the field.

In your initial post, suggest ways a human service program leader can manage the competing demands of bureaucratic standards. What actions can leaders or managers take to help service delivery personnel retain motivation and job satisfaction?

Personal Identity and Professional Development essay help service

Exploring the Intersection of Personal Identity and Professional Development

Discussion Context

Have you ever heard someone use a “color-blind” reference when the topic of cultural differences comes up? The idea that we are all the same that speaks to our shared humanity, regardless of our biopsychosocial characteristics; while this is true at some level, on other levels the idea that a counselor could take a “color-blind” approach to counsel is problematic. While the intention may be to focus on equality and all that we hold in common as people, the danger is in failing to recognize and account for the impact of our biopsychosocial characteristics on our experiences. Identity is a complex phenomenon and each one of us possesses a range of biopsychosocial characteristics such as gender, race, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, and cognitive and physical abilities that impact how we view ourselves and how we are viewed. In fact, aspects of our identity such as being able-bodied, young, or straight may result in automatic or unearned privileges. And, at the same time, other aspects of our identity such as being brown, female, or Jewish may result in our marginalization.

Discussion Prompt

The Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competencies (MCSJCC, 2015) presents a conceptual framework that calls attention to “the intersection of identities and the dynamics of power, privilege, and oppression that influence the counseling relationship” (p. 3). As you become familiar with these competencies, you will want to consider areas for development you are eager to explore, as well as areas for development that you may feel hesitant about or even resistant to considering. Your site supervisor at Riverbend City has pointed out to you the importance for counseling interns to really take an opportunity to honestly examine these areas of personal awareness.

Your initial post for this discussion should address two main parts, personal reflection and MAKSS reflection. Both these parts will help you to prepare for the Unit 2 assignment.

Part 1: Personal Reflection

For this part of the discussion:

Consider your own biopsychosocial characteristics and how more visible or salient aspects of your identity have resulted in experiences of affirmation or marginalization.

Reflect on your reaction to exploring the impact of your biopsychosocial characteristics on your own and your family’s experience (for example, what feelings come up as you consider the ways in which you have been privileged or marginalized?).

Part 2: MAKSS Reflection

Discuss the experiences you have lived. Referencing the results from the MAKSS and the MCSJCC, explain what this means for your development of awareness, knowledge, and skill (referencing the MCSJCC).

Explain which perspective of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral resistance aligns most with your reactions to exploring diversity topics?

It may be helpful to refer to the three possible areas of resistance in multicultural training identified by Sue and Sue (2016): cognitive resistance, emotional resistance, and behavioral resistance.

Discuss the implications of emotional reactions in clinical practice and identify at least two of the strategies for managing emotional reactions that will be important to your professional development.

Brief Summary About Me

After my mother’s death I was adopted by my aunt. I grew up in an African American, low income, family in the city of Detroit, MI. A big factor in our family was religion, which was Christianity. I struggled with acceptance. My aunt and I did not have a close relationship. She focused on building stronger bonds with her biological children while neglecting my emotional and mental needs. The lack of family support encouraged me to focus on educational goals. I graduated from high school, second in my class, and attend an HBCU which helped me form my identity and learn more about my culture while providing me with a quality education.

Although African Americans still face inequality, I feel as if I was privileged. Surviving an harsh childhood, influence me to strive for better. Many opportunities have presented themselves to help me to become the person I am today based on the effective choices I have made for myself. Observing, my culture entirely, I feel marginalized due to the oppression that African Americans face as a whole.

An experience that I have encounter, referring to the MAKSS assessment, is the lost of my mother. As a child, I had extremely limited knowledge about counseling. After receiving counseling, I gain some insight about the effects of counseling which has influenced my reasoning to pursue an education in this field.

Due Week 9 Monday 18 September 2017 at 4pm through dropbox in MyLO 1 Clinical Scenarios: CNA342 Assessment Task 1 Please choose ONE of the following scenarios to discuss in your written report Scenario 1 Rohan (9 years) – Care provided by an RN in a community and primary health care setting You are a community health nurse working within a rural suburban neighborhood. One day, when you are at one of the schools in your catchment area a teacher shares her concern for Rohan a 9- year-old boy in her class. Rohan was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus a few months ago and since has had many absences from school. The teacher has tried to provide extra support for Rohan while he is at school, and checks in with him about his meals and blood sugar checks, which he does independently. She tells you that she knows a little bit about diabetes because her father is diabetic and that Rohan’s blood sugars are “all over the place”.

She frequently provides him more food than is sent from home. Rohan is not following the diabetic diet plan he was given from the diabetes clinic because he and his family are vegetarian but the plan includes meat. Rohan lives at home with his three younger sisters and parents. His mother is ill with nephrotic syndrome and has developed depression since the family immigrated to Australia two years ago. The teacher has talked to Rohan’s mother about these concerns but nothing seems to change for Rohan. The teacher is also concerned because Rohan has told her that he does his own insulin in the morning because his father goes to work early and his mother is not up yet. She also notes that his little sisters have had as many absences from school as Rohan but they are healthy as far as she knows.

Does she ask what you can do to help Rohan? Scenario 2 Elsa (17 years) – Care provided by an RN in an outpatient care setting You are a nurse working in the outpatient Gastro-Intestinal (GI) clinic, you have just started in this role, taking over for a colleague’s maternity leave. You receive a call from the mother of Elsa, a 17- year-old girl who was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 4 years ago. Elsa has had multiple acute episodes of colitis and has been in hospital at least once a year. Last week, Elsa had a flare of her colitis but when she came to an emergency at the children’s hospital, she was sent to the adult hospital. Her mother calls you upset about the care at the adult hospital and worried that Elsa is going to leave against medical advice. She tells you that on admission she dropped Elsa off at emergency and had a difficult time finding a parking spot.

When she returned, the staff told her to wait in the waiting room until the physician was finished his assessment. She waited over an hour and when she was finally allowed to see Elsa, she was quiet and withdrawn. She told her mother that “they asked me all kinds of questions and I didn’t know the answers, and they made me change into this gown, which I never had to wear in the other hospital”. Elsa’s mother says that it felt strange 2 to be excluded from Elsa’s care and because she is a single parent she’s always responsible.

They had done some preparation for the transition to adult services with the previous clinic nurse. She had booked an appointment at the adult clinic, but because the waitlist was so long it was scheduled next month and they had not had the opportunity to meet the adult GI team until now. Elsa’s mother tells you that Elsa is feeling a little better today but the team is not planning to discharge her. She thinks that Elsa is still too unwell to leave, she has lost quite a bit of weight this time, and although Elsa has been asking to go home, she has refused to take her.

Her mother tells you that she doesn’t think Elsa will stay in the hospital another day because she overheard Elsa telling her boyfriend that “she hates this place” and planning to leave with him against medical advice. Does she ask what you can do to help Elsa? Scenario 3 Petra (9 months) – Care provided by a new grad in Emergency care setting You are a new graduate nurse working in rotation in a very busy emergency department (ED) in a primary referral center of a major city, Australia. You are allocated to the pediatric area along with a more senior nurse who is ED staff who has a full load of patients. In the 2-cot isolation area where you are assigned, you receive a rushed patient handover from the waiting room triage nurse that includes an “unwell” infant who has been in the waiting room for 1 hour with her father (Ben). Ben is the primary carer and Petra’s parents are separated. Petra’s mother (Aline) works full time as a lawyer and shares the care with Ben.

It is unclear whether Aline has been contacted by Bento to inform her that Petra is unwell. Petra is 9 months old, she was born prematurely at 35 weeks’ gestation, and was 1900 grams at birth. She is the only child, of an IVF pregnancy. You assess the triage notes and see that today Petra is febrile (39.5C) and has a blotchy rash on her abdomen. The triage nurse gave Petra Panadol 1⁄2 hour ago in the waiting room while waiting for a bed. Ben tells you Petra is drinking about 1⁄2 of her usual amount, refusing all solid intake, has had 5 wet diapers and has been irritable for 24 hours. Neither of them has had much sleep. Ben shows you the bottle of expressed breastmilk and water that he has bought from home. Petra is clinging to her father and appears little for her age, flushed and possibly dehydrated. Petra has never been fed infant formula and the parents are opposed to her receiving any other fluids except breastmilk or water. She goes to daycare two days per week.

Before you can do any observations and clinical assessments, Aline is ushered into the room and is visibly distressed. Petra begins to cry. Her cry is weak and short-lasting and she falls back into her father’s chest. The nurse you are working with pulls you aside and asks you what your plan of care is for the family. How do you respond?
