Students with disabilities are provided with specific provisions regarding discipline through the law. Special education teachers need to be aware of what the law has outlined for the discipline of students with disabilities, as they will be responsible for implementing these specific guidelines.
Review the following case scenario to inform the assignment that follows:
Charlie is a fifth grader who receives special education services for a learning disability. He is on grade level in math and two years below grade level in reading. He receives services in a resource setting for one hour each day. Charlie has no history of behavior problems.
Recently, Charlie was caught stealing software from the computer lab at his school. His teacher referred him to the assistant principal who issued a three-day suspension and required him to return the stolen materials.
The day of the incident, when Charlie returned to the classroom to gather his belongings, he confronted his teacher. He called her names, threatened to come back to school with a knife to “cut her,” and pretended to swing his fists toward her. Charlie’s teacher called the principal, who, in accordance with the student code of conduct at the school, issued an additional 10-day suspension for Charlie, bringing his total days of suspension to 13.

For this part of the assignment, select a current news article from AP News (you may use their website or an article from the World News section of your newspaper) that contains at least one photograph that is cited with the photographer’s name. Read the article, and then download the photograph or photographs (or take a photo if it is from a newspaper). Then, research background information about the photographer using the CSU Online Library or another reputable source. In your essay, include a copy of the photo or photos, give a summary of the article and photographer’s background information, and explain how the photograph or photographs helped explain or support the news story. The Organizational Transformation presentation allows you to demonstrate your understanding of the reading assignments, class discussions, your own research, and the application of new knowledge gained throughout the course. The assignment focuses on leadership roles, strategic planning, motivational strategies, the role of human resources, and the importance of cultural competency, strategic alliances, and community reputation as it relates to the health care organization.
For this assignment, you will prepare a 15- to 20-slide PowerPoint presentation with detailed speaker’s notes of 100 to 150 words for each slide, not including the title and reference slides. The presentation will be created from the perspective of an upper-level administrator of one of the following types of health care organizations:

Over the past year, the organization has received numerous negative reviews from patients and clients using the services at your chosen organization. Overall, the organization’s reputation in the community has suffered due to
poor quality of service,
lack of empathy of the care providers and administrative staff including biases in care,
difficulties in obtaining an open appointment or a bed space in the long-term care unit,
poor patient or client care management in terms of effective treatment, and
