Multinational Corporation (MNC) Online Research
Using the current year, perform an online search for the following terms: “largest multinational corporations 20XX”
Select ONE multinational corporation (MNC) from the list you located.
Perform a second online search and locate a recent article (within the past 18 months) that describes an actual international finance application or a real-world example about your selected MNC’s actions that reinforces at least one of the concepts from your assigned chapter readings this week. For example, use one or more of the following search terms and include both the name of your selected company and the current year in your search:
Change in exchange rate
Impact of inflation on exchange rates
International capital market
International stock listings
U.S. AND trade friction
International capital flows AND currency effects
[your company] AND country risk
Direct foreign investment
Example: Suppose I selected Taiwan Semiconductor as my chosen MNC from the list. I would then do a web search for the following:
“Taiwan Semiconductor” AND international capital market AND 2021
Summarize your findings:
Find articles that specifically mention your MNC. Write a detailed and robust summary of your findings ( 1-2 pages minimum) and use multiple sources (via APA references and citations) to support your position.
Assignment Grading Criteria:

Top Companies – Training
Choose one of these companies from the top 100 companies.
Visit the company’s website and/or look for references in publications such as Training Magazine, Workforce, or HR Magazine. In total, you need at least two references to complete the research report.
Please select ONE of the following areas to research, and write about it in your assignment:
Choice A: Training Programs. Provide specific examples of TWO training programs and state which employees attend (e.g., leaders, frontline associates, customer service reps). Also, describe the focus of the training program.
Choice B Training Delivery. Provide specific examples of TWO ways training is delivered (e.g., online courses, virtual-instructor-led, in-person) at the company. Explain the benefits of using those two training delivery methods.
Finally, if available, state the amount of money the company devotes to training and the total number of employees trained.
There are 3 paragraphs included in the research report:

Writing Question
Writing Assignment Help Instructions: Read the scenario below about a DoD acquisition and complete the table indicating if the identified Provision or Clause should be included, and if YES, then identify the prescription using the FAR or DFARS citation as the reference. Do not cite anything from FAR subpart 52.2 or DFARS subpart 252.2 – the prescription for provisions and clauses are ALWAYS found in the main parts of the FAR or DFARS. For example, the clause at 52.203-7 Anti-Kickback Procedures starts with the prescription which reads: “As prescribed in 3.502-3 , insert the following clause:” – you would then navigate to FAR 3.502-3 to determine if that guidance is relevant to your acquisition. The scenario has some italicized hints for you as you work through this assignment for things to watch for.
Scenario: You have received a requirement for 10 noncommercial shark-mounted laser weapon systems that is expected to cost $1,500,000. The items must be delivered to Guam. The acquisition will be conducted full and open competition (i.e., it will not be set aside for small business), and subcontracting possibilities DO exist. You intend to use negotiated contracting procedures and award a cost-plus-incentive-fee contract without conducting discussions. The Government is willing to accept alternate proposals. Due to budget constraints, the contract will be incrementally funded. The DoD requires form, fit, and function data rights. None of the exceptions at FAR 27.409(b)(1) apply. There will be no Government property provided, and this acquisition is not in support of a declared contingency operation. The solicitation contains all provisions and clauses required by the FAR and DFARS, except for those shown below – your task is to determine if the identified provision or clause SHOULD be included. In order to determine this, you will need to first go to the text of the clause itself, read the “as prescribed in” reference, and then go to that reference to determine if the scenario facts support including or not. Watch the video below to see the process!
Question: Which of the provisions or clauses listed below should be included in the solicitation?
Note: Remember that when an alternate applies, the basic version is incorporated automatically but is modified by the alternate(s) that may apply. Therefore, you would ONLY indicate “Yes” in front of the version with the appropriate alternate(s) – and indicate “No” for the remaining versions, including the basic version of the provision or clause because it has been altered.

Writing Question
Throughout this semester we will look at how to find reliable, truthful sources, but also how to look at sources in a more rhetorically-savvy way. This assignment will give you an opportunity to reflect on what you already know how to do and give you a sense of what we want to work on moving forward.
Step 1: Reflect on the Stanford Study on Information Literacy” assignment. How did you do? (Use the Answers to Stanford Study Page to see the correct answers and compare them to your answers.) You may not have perfect information literacy right now, that is okay. Hopefully this will improve greatly over the next several weeks. However, you should take this opportunity to assess your skills and learn from your mistakes. Take a look at the feedback that you got on the Stanford Study on Information Literacy, and then answer the following questions (minimum 150 words), written in paragraph form:
Name at least one question you got wrong on the original assignment. If you got everything correct, name at least one thing you hadn’t considered or one thing that you learned from reading the answers. Be specific, make clear references to the answers and describe any questions you missed and/or weren’t sure about.
How do you feel about your information literacy at this point? Are you surprised that you did as well as you did? Did you expect to do better?
Do you feel that this experience will help you to increase your information literacy moving forward? Why or why not?
What do you think this study says about how easy it is to spot “good” and “bad” sources? Why might “good” sources be important, if we want to learn about what is happening in our society?
Step 2: Watch this video lecture. After watching, respond to the following questions. Your total response should be at least 250 words.
According to the video, what are the foundational questions of information literacy?
Based on the video, what does research have to do with creativity?
Based on the video, how is research collaborative?
Pick any 2 ideas from the summary portion of the video (the portion after the “to sum up” slide) and explain them in your own words. Why are these central ideas to information literacy?
Step 3 – Reflect: Think about the two activities together and what they demonstrate about your information literacy. Which of the components in the video do you feel you need the most practice with? (Describe the component and why you don’t feel especially confident with this particular component.) Now that you have given some more thought to your own skills in this area, what advice would you offer to other students that might want to improve their information literacy? How do these activities affect how you think about what constitutes research in the 21st C/digital age?
: Within the Discussion Board area, write 400 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas,
: Within the Discussion Board area, write 400 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.
Discuss the concept of pay-for-performance (P4P) initiatives and the role they may or may not have in improving health care quality.
Additionally, explain and discuss some of the challenges and concerns that surround P4P to improve quality and reduce health care costs.
The use of at least 2–3 scholarly references to support your argument is expected in APA style.
