In this study, elevated serum cholesterol level is taken as exposure to diagnose CAD in individuals. This shows the exposures (elevated cholesterol level) and health outcomes (disease evidence) of each participant are assessed at a time (Kihira et al., 2021). The serum cholesterol levels of the participants are collected and analyzed by cross-sectional design (Kihira et al., 2021).
