Your supervisor has asked you to develop two handouts for use with clients. The first handout is intended for individuals who have substance use issues. The handout should provide basic information about substance use and should include such content as warning signs of addiction; health and other consequences; treatment options; first steps. As you develop the handout, ask yourself, ‘What would you want a person to know if they were asking for information for the first time?’ Select a specific substance for your handout so that the content can be geared specifically to the issue the client is having. The second handout is intended for the family of a person with addiction/SUD. Continue with the same substance you chose for the first handout and develop this one for the family members. This handout should provide content that will help the family better understand their loved one. That is, you should develop information that will inform them about addiction criteria, the progression of addiction, treatment options, and how the family can help their loved one. You will also need to include content for the family regarding their need for treatment and recovery. What would you want a family to know about addiction and about treatment and recovery if they asked you for help?Length: 2 trifold brochures (front and back), 4 total pages, not including referencesReferences: Include a minimum of 4 scholarly resources.
